[s] ThatFairGuy1: People that call Ambode coward today were the same people that supported and hailed El Rufai when he said he knows how to remove godfather in Lagos. But when Rufai recently opened his cancerous mouth to say 2023 will go to SW these people blasted him and called him all names. Their true enemy is Tinubu. Any that refuses to oppose Tinubu is in their black book. Anyone that blasts Tinubu is in their good book. I look all around Nigeria, my people are in every state. Igbo has been in Northern Nigeria much much earlier before we knew Western Nigeria. Yet there has not been any single record of an Igbo man being elected into political office or even nominated into a cabinet in North. In Lagos on the other hand we have continued to enjoy the benefits of democracy under same Tinubu, and our losses in some areas is result of our own irresponsibility and not because the system or Lagos godfather hates us. If godfatherism in Lagos has benefited us in the most wealthy and most economically advanced state in West Africa, doesnt it make sense to support what advances our entrepreneurship and political ascent? I was born in Lagos and in the Igbo circle in Lagos, there are people who are fed up and disgusted with our style of political culture. I support them and im in that mold myself. There is no president of Nigeria who has been as democratic and favorable to Igbo as Obasanjo did. Obasanjo is a godfather. Obasanjo made people like NOI, Soludo, Ihejirika, Ekwezisili and many more. Yet we are the loudest anti-godfatherism. Even in North, where we have never gained any political benefit but have suffered the greatest social and cultural calamity, nobody even becomes a commissioner without godfatherism. My people love Kwankwaso but forget the man is a godfather. We love Atiku but forget Atiku is a godfather. So my brother, those hating on Ambode are venting that he failed to fight against Tinubu when he had the chance. Obasanjo fought Tinubu, yet we still hate Obasanjo. The same Obaseki we are hailing, he went to Lagos to seek godfather support. He didnt get it. Akeredolu in Ondo, our inlaw, he fought Tinubu to become governor but has returned to Tinubu and godfather to seek reelection. No Igboman living can swear on his chi and claim godfatherism in Yoruba people, particularly Obasanjo and Tinubu has not earned us advancement in Yprubaland and in Nigeria generally. I want my people to know that the example of our progress and inclusion in Lagos and Yorubaland is a model that the Hausa/Fulani has copied and used to integrate our brothers in North. When was last time we hear of riot against Igbo in North? They have seen how our inclusion in Yorubaland pays off economically and they are modelling that to improve their local economy as well. Godfatherism helps Igbo business and politics. My people should open their eyes and learn. Let Edo carry their load and fight Tinubu themselves. Edo no be Lagos no concern us. Lagos na our bread and butter, we must not ruin it. End to godfatherism will destroy business for us, let us condemn those that oppose godfatherism in Lagos. Our leaders in Lagos have seen the light and theyve been drumming the beat, if you cant beat Tinubu in Lagos, join Tinubu to bring dividends of godfatherism to Igbo commerce and politics. Share this. 12345baba: if the USA ban u half of the country in the world done ban u. Most countries are allies to the USA These people fail to realize that most of the developed nations have a somewhat integrated immigration security system which the Interpol, CIA et al keys into. Once the US places a Red Flag on your passport it automatically flashes up in connected embassies and immigration points in these countries and they could easily as well deny you their visas because of this. |

lightest: @op, good thread and hope it will not be derail.
my own submission is that the fulanis have started their permutations.
they are weakening Tinubu's camp. first, osho removed from chairmanship and second removing edo from their list.
Tinubu will be cryingbby now. I am forced to agree with the boldfaced. This Edo election was a veiled signal along with the Visa ban threats and fear of their accounts and assets being frozen and seized by the US and UK. |

And to Philip Shaibu, our prayer is that may we always have loyal and trustworthy friends like you. You have been a blessing to Obaseki. Once again congratulations to you both and the good people of Edo state |

Aforxzy: Its really nice seeing Oshiomole and his gragra losing. No one is God. If people believe in you don't go over board and believe it is all about you. Well now you see that with unity and strong will, any one can be defeated. All states should learn from this.
Wish the people of Edo state well. Pray your governor fulfills his promises to you. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I think what finished Oshiomole was pride and arrogance. This was someone that was loved by all right from his labour union days to when he became a governor. He suddenly started feeling like a Greek Demigod and became very arrogant. |

APC will use supreme Court to remove him .... Mark this date.
Add your own thoughts ... I laugh in Swahili This is Edo state we are talking about. This is not Imo state. Edo people are not docile people. We are known as probably the most stubborn set of people in the country I strongly believe they know this and surely will not take that part for fear of a revolution. Keep your simple minded thoughts to yourself. Cheers |

Oracleforce: [s]The last time I checked, An educational certificate is not equal to intellectualism...you can be a certified or certificated fool like some of your kinsmen in Edo state....who erroneously vote for a non-performing governor to prove a point.... We in the diaspora are watching from afar the repercussion of this election in the lives of Common masses in Edo state...and Nigeria at large... From the history of Nigeria politics, Naija governors usually put their best feet forward....they will do well in their first tenure so that they can appeal to the sympathy and conscience of their people to vote second in the second tenure....now that Obaseki has little or nothing to show in his first tenure, I wonder what he will do in the second tenure knowing fully well that he doesn't need your vote again... A lot of money has been expended for this political competition and somebody somewhere have sown his time, energy, resources waiting patiently to be rewarded and be paid back for the job well done and delivered.
Someone just won an election because he came up with a political slogan, "/Edo no be lagos " not that he has done goodly to deserve another term....naija is doomed. ....we are no more voting for candidate capacity and capability, we are only voting base on political cajolery and slogan....
Anyway, edo people, enjoy your evil days ahead and I wish you ixlxl..[/s]. Trash
