Unlimitk:
Ppl talking about south west not being developed, Lagos that is developed is smallest state in sw
Ogun alone is combination of three se States most se States are small So less is spent on infrastructure km of roads and so on
Comparing sw to se every time is done
An Igbo person will visit ogun state and will visit part not more more than Enugu state in size and will conclude that's everything
Igbo land is small,I'm sorry but I have to say it
Igbo's have high population smallest landmasses
For ogun to have good infrastructures money spent on anambra abia IMO will be needed to complete some roads and social ammenties
These are disadvantages
Anambra has high population, ogun population to anambra is small
Anambra is 1/4 of ogun state
Money spent on infrastructure in anambra will have to be multiplied by 4 for it to have same effect in Ogun
When ppl are talking on nairaland, pls don't compare oranges to apple
Your own situation is different to mind
It's just stupid comparing anambra IMO Enugu abia or ebonyi that is like a town in Ogun in landmass terms with ogun state its just stupid
Igbo land is small but with more population
Development reaches everybody, every town is close together
In ogun pls if u igbo when visiting ogun next time pls visit
Arepo,arepo houses alone are gigantic
Mowe ofada
Ota
Ijebu ode and remo:these are where billionaire houses are
And these places are not capital in ogun ooo
These places are larger than Onitsha abakaliki owerri aba in landmass alone
Then u have inside bushes
When I went to see somebody in Ibadan and had to enter bush to enter estates I was just surprised
Those bushes u see all over south west is where new houses are
U can't compare Yorubas way to Igbo's
Igbo's will do stuff then expect other ppl to do it like them
I don't know y igbos always believe its capital alone all Yorubas live
Don't compare oranges to apples
You started it by posting a few pictures of not very developed places.A lot of Igbos know that SW even without Lagos is very much developed than the SE.
They have all...I say all the developed parts of Igboland on the internet...which they always post from different angles -unlike Yoruba who do not have that time...I think they should.
Ogun state is more developed than any state in the SE.The facts are there even if we don't have all the pictures.
Ibadan is twice more developed than the entire Igboland.
They will always post the old parts...this is where we started from when they were covering their nudes with bare hands.
People have expanded to other sites because we have a very large landmass than Igboland. One of them posted video of the old parts of Ogun state.Ask him....where are the houses of politicians, lawyers, middle class, billionares, industries, unversities,GRAs,estates, malls etc.We have all of these more than them and most of them know.
THIS IS OGUN STATE:

I start with canaanland which is one notable development in Ogun state.Even the houses there which I have not seen on the internet will make Igboland green with envy.I f it were Igbos, they would have flooded the internet with its pix.

I hope you understand the meaning of nominal GDP check the biggest economy after oil producing states and FCT, before you continue with your ignorant rant grin
In case you did not attend university.....
nominal.... meaning:
/ˈnɒmɪn(ə)l/
adjective
1.
(of a role or status) existing in name only.
"Thailand retained nominal independence under Japanese military occupation"
synonyms: in name/title only, titular, formal, official, ceremonial; More
2.
(of a price or charge) very small; far below the real value or cost.
"they charge a nominal fee for the service"
synonyms: token, symbolic, emblematic, peppercorn.

Nominal vs. Real GDP......?
Ibadan is the 4th economy in Nigeria...yes,it still stands.
READ:
GDP stands for gross domestic product and is the measure of the total economic output of the goods and services of a country. ... Nominal GDP is economic output without the inflation adjustment. Nominal GDP is usually higher than real GDP because inflation is typically a positive number.
The main difference between nominal and real values is that real values are adjusted for inflation, while nominal values are not. As a result, nominal GDP will often appear higher than real GDP.
Economists use real gross domestic product (GDP) when they want to monitor the growth of output in an economy. Nominal GDP, typically referred to as just GDP, uses the quantities and prices in a given time period to track the total value produced in an economy over a certain time.
Nominal GDP is a decent enough standalone factor to measure the output of an economy. The problem comes when you're comparing GDP across different time periods. Nominal GDP includes “growth” in the value of output due to inflation as well as production. ... In other words, there was only nominal growth, no “real” growth. cheesy

Check real indices before you talk rubbish in this thread we Igbo's control a large part of the financial sector in this country(you can check real indices and research on this to confirm...think before you post any thing on this thread and don't act like someone in delusion which you actually are.
#We are far more better than the Afonja head mining republic#

Igbos are the poorest in the South.Only Alakija is richer than all your mediocre billionaires dead or alive.

Only Ibadan is more developed than the entire Igboland.

Only Ogun state IGR is more the IGR of the entire South eastern 5 states combined.

Ogun state is the most industrialised state in Nigeria.

Yorubas have the highest number if indigenous companies in Nigeria.

The entire companies of Igbos do not worth half of just one Yoruba company.

A Yoruba state which Yorubas have the highest number of companies in relation to other Nigerians,is the 4th economy in Africa.

Ibadan/Oyo is the 4th economy in Nigeria.

Yorubas have the highest number of billionaires.

Yorubas have the highest number of middle class.

Yorubas have the highest number of profs, lawyers etc.

Yorubas seldom go to Igboland except those alagbo resetting worn out ojuku faculties.

Only Davido or Whizkid will buy Igboland without sweating. grin

And who are the main people behind the IGR?

Who owns majority of goods in containers that come into the country from Lagos?

Why did the dredging of the river Niger stop? Because they know that if there is a deep sea port in Onitsha, the IGR you chestbeat about will drastically reduce...No more "Owo mi da" for the Lagos god-father which yoruba touts chase trailers carrying containers for because the Onitsha port will become the hub of activities!

Mumu.What do you import?
The imports of Honeywell only swallow whatever all your traders import.
You claim to have the biggest market in West Africa. Why doesn't this market grow your IGR as your small, small markets in the SW control the economy in the SW,even that of Ogun state that does not have ports.Ndiara.

Unbiased1:

OK let's end this
1)Oyo is the 4th largest economy in Nigeria and can't pay salaries and pensions of its civil servants while Ebonyi that is down the list is doing so. Nigeria's GDP is higher than that of Israel but is no where near Israel in terms of any positive parameter so what's the big deal about GDP? Equatorial Guinea has a large GDP per capital but it has reflected on its citizen just like what we have in Oyo where people are so poor that they can't even renovate their houses and roofs in West Africa's largest city ( Ibadan )

2) In this era of real estate business, who talks about GRA when we have private investors building estates all over Enugu, Awka, Owerri etc. The number of estates in Enugu city alone outnumbers the number of estates in Oyo, Ekiti, Osun and Ondo combined. Let's not even start with Owerri and Awka.

3) Based on the features of the so-called mega malls in Ibadan, there is nothing different between them and other shopping centers in Nigeria. Aviva place in Owerri is bigger than Ventura mall but you don't see us shouting about Aviva. I know u don't even know Aviva place exists. Those shopping centres in Ibadan are fond of adding "Mall" to their names which is what is swelling your head that you guys have 11 malls. All we need to do in the east is to change the names of our shopping centres to malls and we will overtake 5 states in the SW in number of malls. Aviva place becomes Aviva mall, Roban stores becomes Roban mall, "All in" becomes All in Mall etc.

4) Ibadan does not have a skyscraper. Cocoa house/tower and the remaining 3 buildings are high rise and mid-rise structures respectively. We have all seen aerial photography of Ibadan from the cocoa tower and everyone can easily tell that Ibadan has 1 high rise building (12floors to 39floors), 3 mid-rise buildings(4 floors to 11 floors) all located on the same Dugba street and a kingdom of bungalows and 1 story dilapidated houses with destroyed roofs of which most houses do not have toilets. Onitsha city has the most number of mid-rise structures compared to other cities in Nigeria. Abakaliki has more Mid-rise structures than the combination of 5 state capitals in the SW.

5) As for the reasons why I feel the SE is more developed than Ibadan and the SW in general, these reasons are:
- More and faster urban development in the east. Onitsha has the second largest urban Landmass in Africa behind Johannesburg. Onitsha is also the only city with an equal metropolitan landmass and urban landmass.
-The SE has the highest urban index in Nigeria with nearly 20% of its landmass being urban compared to the SW with barely 2% of its landmass being urban.
-The only 2 Airports in the SE gets more passengers coming and going in and out of the east more than the combination of the passengers in the Airports in Akure, Osun and Ibadan. In fact, the Airport in Ibadan is the most disgraceful airport in Nigeria because, Maiduguri Airport records over 30,000 passengers yearly compared to Ibadan with barely 1000 passengers and Akure with barely 5000. Enugu gets over 350,000 while Owerri gets over 440,000. Outside Lagos, what you get in the SW is mega slum.
- From education statistics over the last 15 years, the only area where the SW leads the east is in number of public and private universities. The east outperforms the rest of country in Primary education even with their high cutoff marks, WAEC statistics, Jamb statistics, National University Commission's statistics on number of Professor per state, Technology competitions and advancement etc. The east is just blessed.
- From of list of Slum cities in Nigeria, 3 states from SW topped the list with Ibadan and Lagos fighting for who would be the king of slums in Nigeria. Enugu was the state in SE that appeared in the list and down the list.
- Ibadan is the biggest slum city in Africa not not Nigeria. Its a record and a known fact.
- The SW recorded more than 5 times more criminal activities and cases of rape, ritual and murder than the SE and the 2 highest in Nigeria after the NE while the SE recorded the lowest crime rates from 2013 to date.

All these rantings instead of answering the questions and giving us points why Igboland is not as developed as Ibadan only, you started talking like a zombie who lies that his father owns the national stadium, national theatre etc.
No proofs.
This is why only Ibadan is more developed than Igboland.

Everybody knows that Igbos are cowards but you are showing us that you are an inflated kind.Out of 8-9 points, you have only answered 1.
Now,come'on answer the remaining. That is a good lad there...

Let us see whether you are intelligent and man enough to respond to why Ibadan is more developed than all Igboland by:
1.Being the fourth economy in Nigeria and none of your backward state is even the tenth economy.

2.The GDP of Ibadan is higher and even doubled that of Anambra, your alleged richest state in the East.

3.The per capita of the Yorubas in Ibadan is double that of the Igbos in Anambra, your alleged richest state.

4.Ibadan only has more than 10 GRAs while all Igboland cannot boast of even 6.

5.Ibadan only has 5 mega malls while all Igboland has 4 malls which are not so productive.

6.Why Ibadan has CBD with skyscrapers and Igboland has none.

7.Why Ibadan only has infrastructures like radio stations, television stations, newspaper houses, international research centres, schools, universities etc more than all Igboland.

8.etc etc etc

9.And finally why you think any of your states is as or even more developed than Ibadan.

Only if you or anyone of you is a coward will he pick only one out of these.
Respond to all so that your Igbo brethren will truly know that Igboland can stand shoulder high with Ibadan.

My best bet is that you will all run away and do as if you didn't see this post because...

Like i said earlier, the end of Innoson business has come

This is not a matter of wishing him bad but reality

Anybody in Banking sector ll understand what i am saying

As Innoson stands, all Banks both local and international have blacklisted that name for life

It ll be a financial battle for him

To worsen his case, he whipped the tribal sentiment and the publicity went viral to the point Igbos started boycotgtb tag online

This is the biggest mistake any person(small business man) talkless of an industrialist can make

All Banks work together when it comes to fraud and underviced loans.

No matter how much he pays tomorrow to GTank, the dent ll continue to hunt his business for life.

As we speak, Innoson credit worth to all local and international banks is Zero.

His kinsmen through their stupidity and victim mentality have killed his business by making all what he did behind closed doors went viral.

All Banks ll be scared to do business with him and that business can survive without loans.

I do beef Igbos even my monicker testifies to that but I would never have the thought of bringing them down. They have gone through a lot especially the civil war. They play the victim card much too often though but we should still cut them some slack.

Regarding open defecation, the highest proportion (8.8%) was found in the North Central zone,
followed by the South West (6.5%) and then North East (4.3%) zones. By contrast, a lower percentage
was recorded in the South East (3.8%) and the lowest in the North West (3.6%). The likely reason for
higher prevalence of open defection in the North Central and South West zones is that their forest
vegetation provides more room for the practice, unlike the grassland vegetation in the North West
where the practice is the least used. Although, South East zone has more dense vegetation but has
lower prevalence of open defecation than the North East, suggesting an influence of other factors
