I remember advising you check with the school to know what pre-requisite to fulfill…I can not tell you what to do at the this stage bcz I do not know the courses you had in your bachelors n masters program. The program coordinator is in the best position to evaluate your transcript and advise on what you need to fulfill for admissions consideration. So you know, the pre-requisite are not free! A course cost over $600 so the lesser the better

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria has unanimously voted to increase the benchmark interest rate (monetary policy rate) to 14% from 13%, being the second hawkish move by the apex bank in 2022 following the rising rate of inflation.

This was disclosed by the Governor of the CBN, Godwin Emefiele, while reading the communique of the first monetary policy committee meeting of the year, on Tuesday 19th July 2022.

The Central Bank during its last MPC meeting had increased the interest rate from 11.5% to 13.5% in May 2022, however with the inflation rate still spiking above 18%, the CBN has raised the rate further to 14% in a bid to combat the rising cost of goods and services.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Nigeria’s inflation rate hit an over 5-year high of 18.6% in June 2022, from 17.71% recorded in the previous month, largely due to the surge in energy prices and transportation costs.

Highlights of the committee’s decision

MPR raised by 100 basis points from 13% to 14%.
The asymmetric corridor of +100/-700 basis points around the MPR was retained.
CRR was retained at 27.5%.
The liquidity Ratio was also kept at 30%

It’s worth noting that the last time Nigeria adopted an interest rate of 14% was February 2019. According to the MPC, other complementary measures deployed by the apex bank to address the growth of the money supply did not moderate the uptick in inflationary pressure.

I know you stated you are a graduate. Since your first degree may not have direct relation to nursing, you will have to do four years nursing.

But what you can do is to do RN in US and pass NCLEX exam, get work and then do accelerated BSN.

Check community colleges in US that do RN.

You can start with Ursline college Mayfield Heights Cleveland. Write the nursing coordinator to know what pre-requisite you need for accelerated RN/BSN program, check also for other cheaper schools in USA. You focus should be on the accelerated path… it’s demanding expensive n challenging but worth the stress

There are different path to studying nursing in USA.

****Are you a graduate?
If Yes - Apply and start doing your pre-requisites from nigeria. After completing your pre-requisites apply for accelerated RN/BSN( 18months) programs in USA. After the completion of your program, look for a hospital filing for GreenCard apply and start working.

If No - If you just graduated high school. Apply to community colleges(they are cheap and affordable) in USA for RN programs. After completion, look for hospitals on GreenCard based application and apply.
