If we are already borrowing funds from foreign partners, can't we borrow funds to build refineries that is not as cumbersome and expensive as building a space station?

Can't the federal government run a refinery that can survive on the profits of the sales of the crude oil derivatives, and use same profits to pay off the loan, yet the pump price of such derivatives would still be cheaper than importation?

The Jews as a people were all literate due to the fact they had to study the scriptures and that was a divine law.

Also, because of the divine law, they were compelled to be conservative. Conservative people tend to be serious minded and this gives them the discipline needed to succeed in life

Also. the Jews faced lots of racism in Europe and were barred from many professions.

Finance wasn't one of them. They became money lenders and they thrived in it. Education was probably another area they did not face limitations.

So the discriminatory laws at the end of the day favoured them for it forces them to specialise.

As for Sephardic Jews, they were poorer than the Ashkenazi. Also Israel was founded by the European Jews who discriminated against the Sephardic Jews.

Even in America where many Jews emigrated to, the Jews discriminated against each other. Germanic Jews and Polish Jews did not get on well.

The Chinese are another conservative race and it is believed that it's because of Confucian values that are very successful. Anywhere they go, they dominate.

Don't go to China to study medicine. Even Chinese students are going to Australia, Canada, Britain, America and other advanced countries for university education. China is still a middle income country and not a rich one.

People don't go to China seeking for jobs. Chinse growth as been capital intensive and not labour intensive hence a there isn't exactly a dire labour shortage.

Your prospects as a doctor in Nigeria are good if your ultimate aim is to travel overseas to work such as the US.

Why don't you do uni in Nigeria and your masters degree in Canada? Canada gives you a 3 year stay after your masters to work and gain experience? Think about it?
