AreaFada2:
Having visited most of the countries people quoted here, except the Southern hemisphere ones, most of those countries are very cold, uptight and you rarely feel at home. Never mind the language barrier.

No matter your level of proficiency in German language or French or Danish, you still won't blend in that much in countries where those languages are official. Unless you are native born black.

It is the way 9ja is messed up that makes us value any place there is job, good economy, stable light, good infrastructure, good schools etc. But there is still always that "something" missing. Something about home. The main benefit is your kids getting a head start in life.

I know what I am talking about. A high number of blacks in those countries end up moving to UK.

Aside English speaking countries like Canada, USA.
Many still move to UK from Ireland. Of course recent knife crime in London is a worry. Less is smaller UK towns.
well my cousins were born and raised in Germany and are still there till date, they are as Deutsche as they come

it's an individual thing tho.

I never felt at home in Nigeria personally, it's my country of origin, that's where Nigeria started and ended for me and my siblings

nothing more.

now that my younger ones are settled abroad, and I'm roaming around tongue ; only our parents being in Nigeria is the connection we have there
and there are many Nigerians like us.

they don't feel @ home in naija

But hey, to each his own sha

This is a typical IBO submission. Very parochial , self delusion and highly illogical. The case of Ibeto cement is one of the several cases of Jonathan and Okonjo - Iweala gross mismanagement of our economy and aiding & abetting of their kinsmen to loot Nigeria.

Ibeto does not manufacture Cement but only does packaging of imported cement from its PortHarcourt jetty as at this time. I am not sure if it has started in 2019.

Several companies carry out packaging of imported cement for several years. These companies include Flour Mills of Nigeria, Dangote, Yinka Folawiyo & several others. Yinka Folawiyo has been packaging cement before Eagle cement Port Harcourt when Ibeto cement was not even in existence. Dangote cement, Isiyaku Rabiu & Sons (BUA), Flour Mills (FMN), Folawiyo & some others have facilities & investment in cement packaging bigger than Ibeto cement.

When Obj banned cement importation, it affected all the importers. The IBOs attacked Obj severely using various paid electronic & print media claiming the ban was because of Ibeto cement. Obj is now their favourite because of Atiku.

The ban was in force when Yaradua assumed leadership. After his death, when GEJ assume full leadership, while other companies invested billion of dollars on local production & employed hundreds of thousand of people, GEJ gave Ibeto approval to resume packaging of imported cement in PortHarcourt. Naturally, this stopped immediately PMB assume leadership.

Till date, other companies affected have diversified or invested on local production, but the Ibeto kinsmen will never allow us to rest
this punk has turned this to a tribal thing

As a man nobody hears you when you speak up about violence/abuse, it falls on deaf ears, women hope violence against men can be legalized. But it's not entirely their fault, many male folks seem to enjoy the act, you would see men trying so hard to rationalize woman's brutality on fellow men at the same time championing the "do not lay your hand on a woman no matter what". Women hate men deep down their hearts (so says Esther Vila, a fellow woman). Take legal action immediately, however weak a man's cry may be on such matters, the law may not be willing to take action because you are the "strong one" but do so anyway, so you can have documented evidence in case you have to physically defend yourself in future. Best wishes.

Be close to any government in power. The business secret they will not write in books and magazines.

This is the main business element of Dangote. Your closeness to the government in power will help you buy favours, such as lowering down your price while getting special dollar subsidies in order to stifle your main competitor out of business. Case in point, Dangote Cement vs Ibeto Cement.
The demand for your competitor's goods will fall, yours will increase and slowly they go out of business.

Then you can monopolize the market and take the price of your product up.
you guys have not quit this cock and bull story about Dangote destroying Ibetohuh undecided

Ibeto and his circumstances destroyed him

you cannot blame Dangote for what happened to him, especially with that Nkalagu fiasco

All these evil is associated primarily in murtala Mohammed airport, Lagos. Did you add dirtiness and flintility associated with that part of Nigeria.
I travelled out of Nigeria 4days ago through Nnamdi Azikiwe airport Abuja without encountering any problem. The security officers from airport gate to boarding gate wears friendly looks , smiles when necessary and ready to assist on request.
The maddness in lagos airport demand urgent attention and action to sanitize behaviour and environment. Abuja is different.
I noticed and witnessed five first timers who enjoyed traveling out of Nigerian airport Abuja.
Nigeria is a filthy country, be it north, South East or SW

So it's not a "it's their part of Nigeria" thing
it's a national problem.

that said, Abuja might be less animalistic (they are still tho, depending on which side of the track you fall)
but that's because more VIPs use that airport (ministers, appointees and all)

they have to behave themselves to an extent

But Nigerian immigration no dey try

that's the truth
