EagleNest: Well said! We have problem of fighting each other instead of helping one another.
And our level of greed is too much reason why we don't allow wealth distribution so that only one person will be extremely rich while many will be extremely poor and few in middle class.
Our thought process seems weird sometimes. true that |

vioment: I believe this analysis or assessment or conclusion. How can west africa trade when all we do in west africa is the nigerian style which is buy from any industrialized or industrializing world, and then resale. Am sorry but that is not real trade. West Africa also suffers the incompetence that nigeria suffers which are light issues, security issues, health issues, infrastructural issues, rule of law issues, and honesty issues.
West Africa happens to be the most resourced region in Africa but the poorest and the most incompetent. The worst is that Nigeria is the leader of west Africa, which is the worst of any regional leader anywhere in the whole wide world; and to make it worse than it is, nigeria is not even bothered by the backwardness that we exhibit on an hourly basis. Instead of cooperating to rise together, they are busy doing nonsense everyday. it's worrisome |

sharpman1: True.
A typical Nigerian is religious because he/she wants to get blessed and protected.
A religious American (for instance), is religious because he/she seeks knowledge or 'just because'. that's true But there are still religious pple who are wel off in Nigeria tho |

jesmond3945: I agree with people on this thread but there is another demon overseas callled depression which is caused by a lot of things especially if you are a black man in a white space. In Nigeria our issue is frustration caused by lack of basic things of living while in abroad their issue is depression caused by loneliness, social exclusion and racial discrimination. So no matter where you are, you still need your maker. If not why are there so many churches in America. In Nigeria people need church for material things while in America people and europe people need church for comfort and emotional wellbeing. The common thing ib both is the pursuit of happiness. that's another interesting angle to this |

Jakumo: To the good folks who are obviously so offended and dismayed to be reminded that poverty and homelessness exist in the USA, please accept my sincere apologies, on behalf of the poor people who live on the streets in America. I can assure you that those homeless people will feel very ashamed and remorseful, for having caused such mental anguish to the Big Chief Jaiye-Jaiye from Nigeria, whose royal ears must NEVER hear about such abominations as misfortune, hunger or poverty.
To those who would prefer to believe that success and sumptuous material acquisitions are guaranteed RIGHTS to be claimed free of charge by all who set foot in the USA, let me just add the good news that you will be met on arrival at the VIP section of the airport, by a sleek limousine assigned to convey you straight to your sprawling customized mansion located in the most exclusive residential neighborhood of your discerning selection.
After the butler opens the door for you to enter your new palatial home in America, your every decadent carnal wish will be granted to your absolute satisfaction, by a bevy of busty, bikini-clad young women, as you relax in the hot tub beside the swimming pool shaped like the map of Nigeria, contemplating your good fortune whilst luxuriating in the lap of unabashed opulence, literally like a king.
With the aforementioned assurances, I trust that all hurt feelings have been assuaged, and that serenity has been restored in the known universe.
Thank you, and God breast Nigeria. lmao this guy sef. Of course there is poverty everywhere And poverty in America is embarassing But coming from a country that is more hopeless; useless and done for; some here thought this thread was a comparison between U.S. and NIGERIA But these guys should chill abeg America is what Nigeria will NEVER be. That one is not even in doubt or in question But You guys have to accept that America and indeed everywhere has ugly sides. It has to be known |

If you see the influx of Africans in Europe at a point the people might revoke and the only way for them is to start killing immigrants. Most of them are not in support of immigration but their governments are not listening to the people's voice.

Back here there's too much hate and jealousy. Too many sadistic elements in sensitive positions. exactly Black man destroy each other big time. Crab in a barrel mentality has finished the $hithole If we support each other to grow, Africa will not be so destroyed Lecturer will fail you intentionally to handicap your chances of getting a good job ( 2.1 is the thing in Nigeria, and lecturers kill students to handicap theyr chances, you know it and i know too) The way employees treat employee too is another one What about black man looking for juju to impair his fellow man Tho it's not proven 100 % that juju is legit, the very fact that many are willing to go that far is testament that black man indeed has a problem the list is endless the cumulative effect of all these is the poisonous environment we have |

If his useless leaders had been more concerned about the citizens of their countries, would they have had the need to risk their lives crossing the sea? He deserves to be locked up in a mental institution for the rest of his life. Thank goodness the children are safe Thank God. You are right Africa decided to be useless by choice it's not the fault of the Europeans in the real sense of it (I know some will want to blame slavery and colonialism and all that) If African leaders, elite class and masses decide to fix their countries, the flow to Europe will reduce drastically |

My point is ... This is a vindictive old woman who would rather burn down her house and give it out to the less privileged...
I have seen instances where... Supposed victims of internet fraud give out more money knowing its a scam.. Advising these boys to get into something meaningful with the money... Wishing them well.. Knowing fully well Africa is a hell's kitchen ...

Admin401: So, in a way, it's your government that is causing all this inflation. If they keep printing more money to pay Gov. workers --and by the way, you guys have too many Gov. workers that you don't need -- there'll be too much money in circulation thereby causing inflation. Temporary solution to a reoccurring problem I was suspecting same But the govt is not "printing money" per se it's just expanding the money supply by increasing wages arbitrarily And other goodies Excess liquidity= Inflation |

nextstep: 1. It IS a free market... all those wealthy Nigerians buying properties in US, UK, Dubai; what stopped them from opening their own factories to produce cement, sugar, tomatoes or fuel? All those people buying expensive cars and wasting millions of Naira on shoes and champagne nko? They didn't think of making small factory? As of now sef, there are still many many areas that they could go into today, but they won't. When Dangote goes into those areas, people will accuse him of monopoly or non-free market.
2. Why should any private company sell their products at a comparative loss? If government subsidizes fuel bought from other countries (and indirectly also NNPC), why the hell should a private Nigerian company not also receive that same subsidy? Are you preferring to penalize the Nigerian company? The money and loans being used to fund the project, will it get paid back with losses? You have spoken well |
