dukeprince50: those are not luxury to them, and they have jets because they travel about, they do not buy something they do not need, luxury that is just the side effect of investment, when you look at most of their luxury, just their one month income can cover it all. Bill gates jet is merely $45m, and his worth is over $80b, that is like 0.00056 of his networth, its the same as someone whose worth is N1m buying N500 stuff and calls it luxury. he wears $10 worth of wrist watch. Zuckerberg, despite bin able to buy Ferrari everyday of the month, the Facebook founder drives a non-ostentatious Volkswagon GTI with manual transmission, Bill gates wash dishes at home every night, warren buffet drink of choice is coca-cola.Ortega, despite running the world’s largest fast fashion company, wears a uniform of a blue blazer, white shirt, and gray pants every day. Kamprad is worth $39.3 billion but that doesn’t mean he spends like it. He still enjoys riding the city bus to work and around town, and when he flies, he takes economy class. Kamprad is the second-richest man in Europe, yet he still drives a decades-old Volvo when he’s not taking the bus. When Dangote is on unofficial duty, he normally wears clean cloth which sometimes is not ironed, Mark wears brown polo and sandles everyday. until you understand financial literacy, you will never be rich I agree with this statement "till you understand financial literacy, you will never be rich" That's a fact, and understanding financial literacy has helped my own life and finances However, I still disagree with the notion that rich folks don't indulge in luxury. They sure do But wannabes who want to project an image of wealth (like some folks in Nigeria) spending a huge chunk of their income on luxury items, They are doing themselves |

Buhari happened to Dangote. Everyone wants him gone but don't want to say it openly because they need to protect their business interests.
That's why when Buhari added him to his campaign he protested sharp sharp. No carry your bad luck finish me be association. interesting |

We are not the typical hungry and suffering Nigerians .... and I'm a part time resident in Nigeria too, so whether Buhari wins or not, it does not change anything for me/us However, for the majority of Nigerians, their suffering will multiply once this incompetent president wins a second term Many more will die from hunger fulsni herdsmen, our soldiers will continue to die, the economy will continue to totter etc. Continue to vote based on ethno religious sentiments useless country men |

HeyCorleone: I keep telling people that I'm more afraid of what a black/African would do to me than what a white/European man would do.
Racism is not much of a problem when compared to tribalism, ethicism, and other forms of discrimination against a particular tribe.
The African man doesn't want to see his brother succeed. Even here in Nigeria, tribalism and ethicism is at an all time high. We zone the post of president, and so elect people based on ethnic and cultural ties without asking what they bring to the table.
An Igbo man can't hold certain positions in the south west. A Yoruba man can't access certain things in the North. A Northerner can't own certain things in the East. We discriminate amongst ourselves a lot.
At least when the white man hates you, it's tied on the fact that he hates your skin colour, which he sees as dirty, and also feels you're not as intelligent as he is, which he manages to prove his intellectual prowess in many ways. In Nigeria someone would hate you because he heard your tribe doesn't prostrate to greet their parents.
So it's a shame how Africa is so disunited. What happened in Algeria can pretty much happen in Nigeria and any other African country. We need to rise above such pettiness to grow. you have spoken well |

dukeprince50: The reason why E money can never in his entire life be as rich as mark is because the rich do not spend money on luxury, they use money to make more money by buying shares, investing, forex and other, if E-money got N1b, he will buy mansions and cars while mark will invest, after 10yrs marks car will double E-money, so what is the essence of living large trying to impress people? The rich do not spend on luxury ?? Do you know what you are saying A private jet is luxury, and most billionaires have one. What of their luxury art collection? Or their custom made cars ? Or custom made clothes? Or the homes they live in Donald Trump, Larry Ellison, P.Diddy, etc all do luxury /vanity spending and they are still very rich it's a personality thing some like luxury, others don't |

Xisnin: Love marriages are a recent phenomenon and they are far less successful than traditional marriages. A sudden change in feelings is often followed by divorce, then you will begin to wonder where the love has gone.
Do you think African men are in marriage for what they can't get?. It is obvious that you are not married. we were talking about women here and not men. Besides, love is not a new concept (at least not in the west) but it's probably new in Africa Queen EliZabeth married whom she loved and they were still together TILL DATE Mitt Romney married his high school sweetheart and they are still married TILL DATE Bush Snr married the love of his life and they were married for more than 72 years. Bill Gates married his love and they are still together TILL DATE. Obama married his love and they are still married TILL DATE My father married his love despite some opposition and they are still married TILL DATE and the examples are so so many. It's the wrong definition of love you Zoogerians have that is causing all the heart breaks and divorces I hear now happen in that failed $hithole jungle Traditional marriages were not more successful, they were just prisons. you really think those traditional marriages in Nigeria in the past would have survived today? (a good number of them?) Marriage remains a scam in traditional African setting |

ferhyntorlah: Please Mr Ugo, don't generalise. Just say some. Thank you. I did not generalise I said many, and you know it's the truth The concept of love is abstract to a traditional African woman It's what you can offer The ones who talk about love are the ones exposed to other cultures and all (like you for instance) Can you pay my bills ---- yes Can you get me pregnant!---' yes can you defend my children and be there for them ---- yes that's all that matters to them (which if you really look at it, it's not a bad thing at all) |

As at the time they got married, was he a billionaire,? NO 25 years is a long time to just throw away IF there is no compelling reason to do so This matter has been settled already. African women don t love their husbands (most of them) that's the difference. These African women are in theur marriages for what they can get, and the "status" it gives them in the society Take these two things away and you will see her true color |

Some sacrifices are not worth it, especially if it's Nigeria. If we had more determined youths like Castro or Sankara it would have been worth it but no, it is Benz they want to drive after which they'll grow old and leave an anarchical society for their kids. Well that's just the way it is. Greed at all levels without thinking of the future |

Look at 99% of those against Buhari right from Atiku,Saraki,Dino.illegit buisness men and many more and you will see one basic similarities in all of them..THEY ARE ALL CORRUPT and are desperate to take Nigeria back to the dark days when our money was squandered.
Was it not same saraki that was wailing in a leaked tape that BUhari is no longer allowing free money to roll in? I pity Nigerians that are still canvassing for PDP.
