Jossyroyal1:

A fight distracted our attention yesterday while we were watching the Portugal vs Iran match... Two yahoo guys were fighting over a transaction so some security (Civil defense, police, neighborhood guard) went to savage the situation.
Unlike me, I decided to draw close to know he cause of their differences that was when I realised they were Yahoo guys.
The way those guys were confidently and shamelessly explaining the scenario of how he scammed a client and his colleague hijacked the transaction and the way they were being celebrated made me lose hope in this country...
At the end they were hailed and freed on the basis of Omoadugbo ni won....
I learnt also that in some part of Benin and Delta, If you are not into Yahoo and internet scam, even ur parent will think u are slow and useless..
Where have we gotten it wrong as a nation?? I weep for NIGERIA IT's a shame! It's what our society encouraged Ill gotten wealth |

Mklancee: in saner country this is how politicians raise their campaign money . they get them from donors but in Nigeria we expect them to steal public money Don't mind the numbskulls we call country men Every one has the right to run for office, and receive donations too. It's normal. Her life, her money All of you talking trash about what she should have done with the money, you what have you done with your own Have you given the less fortunate in your area? I have come to realize that the poor in that country are the worst set of Human beings *sighs* |

Jejebabaa: Hmmmmn, provided you have tons of money to average down. Wish i had listened to Oracle when he left the market in Jan. My portfolio is down by 12.45% and the loss amount is in millions, averaging down is not an easy thing because the market can stay irrational longer than you can remain solvent...Warren Buffet. Below chart shows how much someone needs to break even. I had this chart as my computer screensaver to remind me how to manage risk and position size daily whenever i open my computer.

Chibuking81: Insiders knows what goes on, don't be surprise seeing it on full offer tomorrow, those who might jump in today, to enjoy some little upward ride, will get their finger nail cut tomorrow, stockbrokers will get their own share. Nigeria for now is not working, killing everywhere, Benue, Plateau, Borno,( Boko haram / herdsmen attack), looming danger going on, and government is doing nothing. Poverty on the increase, Nigeria has emerged as the country with the highest number of poor people in the world, overtaking India. http://punchng.com/with-87m-poor-citizens-nigeria-overtakes-india-as-worlds-poverty-capital/
All the above mentioned point, doesn't project Nigeria as safe heaven for investment. I still maintain that foreign investors are stylishly pulling out, that why you will notice two leg backward and one leg forward. let them keep pulling out o make I dey buy like mad man |

onegentleguy: Apparently some insider heavyweights are purportedly planning to high Jack the company from the backdoor at the expense of non-core stakeholders and retail investors. The likely impact of this on the share price of NEM could go either way. ...could be positive or negative. My advise to any investor in NEM INSURANCE is to keep a very close watch on the trend surrounding this development.
It's indeed a very messy country we live in. ...full of ill insider practices, corporate mis-governance and misgivings.
It shall be well with us !! yes Nigerians in my opinion are amongst the most unethical and terrible people in the world, and it reflects in all aspects of our daily life, including corporate governance And the checks and balance in place to checkmate all these are in bed with the offenders shame |

Jesusbabygirl: I doubt I even understand this actually because I know the maximum tenor for t-bills is 365 days. That said, what I learnt in my Finance class last semester is that longer tenor investment have higher risks. And using my common sense, IMO, it is better to invest for a maximum of 1 year after which you weigh your options. For instance, Tbills is the only form of investment I feel comfortable with right now because I am outside Nigeria. I can't imagine investing in real estate when I am not there (lol...at least if omo onile will give me headache, let me be there to see). But in 2 years, if I am in Nigeria, the story might be different....my 1 kobo. This is good advice y'all |

spenca: Like I said it is a foreign exchange risk , even if you take pounds to buy American tbills you are exposed to foreign exchange risk. You have a risk while someone that buys tbills with Naira assumes no risk . Best advice purchase tbills in America . You are right about the foreign exchange risks After all, all investment na risk |

And whether US likes it or not, China is going to be the next super power China can't be the next super power bro It's not gonna happen What we will have are power blocs and not world power And you think the Chinese in Africa are here because they love you Only if you knew |

KratosCorp: Go and check the trade deficit between the US and China,.then come back and review your assertions. China (and other countries - especially Europe) have been taking advantage of American leniency for decades. But Trump is saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Deal with the US fairly of get the bleep off the table. but let's be serious tho.... America got into that corner because they lost their competitiveness America is also a protectionist country too, but their products (minus tech and entertainment) can't compete with the others Look at their automobile industry for example |

tjones007: I know most people will be skeptical about this news, but this war has been happening for a while trump just have the balls to make some shots. remember the Facebook censoring in china, google china problems etc. china thinks because of their population they can impose their products on other countries while boycotting other countries products as an act of communism.
If Nigeria had been technological inclined with the brilliant minds in the country. we won't be bothered. You have a point tho I hear Facebook is banned in China (I don't know why tho) |

Use your brain to think! There is no way it will affect Africa as a whole but rather an opportunity to crash the price of these Chinese phone coming to Africa, because China will switch her trade zone to Africa
