I laugh at you! Do you think Igbos can stay together? Igbos are not united. You are just busy fighting to get Biafra when you are suppose to be strategizing to win seat of the President of Nigeria.

If you dont know, check every election that has been conducted in Nigeria you will discover that we have more Igbos contesting for presidency in Nigeria. They would have just come together for just once and choose one credible leader to come out representing the Igbos and see if he or she would not go closer in getting the presidency (that is if he does not win).

I will always say this, "Please learn from the failures of South Sudan"
Who is United in this Africa,?

The OP is spot on.

It's just that the Nigerian situation is terrible, that's it.

Many Chinese, Indian and Indonesian students who come here to get an education end up doing well when they go home.

So it is not that the idea is bad, but the country is messed up.

You just judged someone's sincere thought and honest opinion.

How does that make you better?

Am even surprised that you are justifying tiwa's video based on her tales. Seems you don't get the point, she simply washed her dirty linen in front of the whole world, she totally ruined the boy's father's image beyond repair.

All for what? Career, fame, 1 million views on YouTube??

In my own view self, I don't think she's as happy as she used to be, she might hide it and all that but she will always regret her actions and it will take a lot of effort for that boy to forgive her when he grows up to find out.

Forget drug addict or junkie or whatever you call it. Everyone has their own story.

Why is Nairaland so tribalistic? Once it's an igbo name it immediately jumps to front page but once it's a Yoruba name it never makes it to front page. Sad.

Here is a Yoruba drug pusher thread that never made it to front page for obvious reasons: https://www.nairaland.com/3313835/51-year-old-grandma-arrested-heroin

You dey mind her. It's kind of how one was on FB insulting anambra, ipob, NK, igbo in general, etc in effort to be "political correct", etc. The day she insulted Buhari, the freaking hausa/fulani and Yoruba took her to the cleaners. Not one single Igbo, men or even women, came to her defensive.
Lo behold the next thing the chick wrote was how disunited Igbos are. How she was getting insulted and all the Igbos that always comment on her page ignored the attacks towards her and igbo. She lambasted igbo men for not fighting for igbo women. She claimed how igbo men should have been the ones arguinh against the men that came to insult her blah blah.

As I read that shit, I kept thinking to myself....why would an Igbo guy or women or even an infant help your ass when you did nothing but insult Igbos up and down in effort to curry favour and look " One nigerian". The second you decided to display your dissatisfaction with "one nigeria", is the second the ppl cheering her on decided to remind her ass she's still an igbo and how much they despise her and will Lynch her without a second of thought. Instantly, the igbo she claimed to be and have fun insulting are whom she wanted to come and save her ass. When none came, it's disunity and igbo men letting other men mistreat igbo women. I swear it took all my strength not to insult that chick as well and tell her she been disowned and she's on her own.
Well, I see....

But I kid you not.
Disintegrating this country will not solve anything still, what we need is a TOTAL re reorientation as a people, as well as some restructuring.

Nigeria splitting into in 8 cannot solve that.

The black race as a whole needs reorientation

Despite being successful and like some would call it 'well-to-do', I can never let down my guard to form political correct and denigrate my people to curry likes and favor. I usually tell my Yoruba and edo peeps, "Look, i am not forming, I dont like you, I dont trust you, you neither do trust nor like me, let us cut the crap, ball and deal like men".

In that case, everyone will know it is a mutual dislike and mistrust. Everyone protects his own corner.

You must think you are talking to someone who is not familiar with both schools. Your sister didn't score enough marks to get the course of her choice in UNILAG and apparently settled for OAU because the criteria is lower. You can mention the courses and compare the criteria in both schools. OAU was shut down for months over complaints of terrible infrastructure and serious tussle over the VC appointment so I am not saying that there's no infrastructure challenge but rather praising the quality of the mind and education of Femi of UNILAG. OAU has always had a lower admission criteria than UNILAG. The corruption in UNILAG is on focus now because the institution uses its high admission criteria to admit very smart students and people who can challenge the system like FEMI is doing following the steps of Sowore of Saharareporters,so it didn't start with Femi.
Our debate isn't the issue raised by that smart Akokite, it's the way you made it sound as if if your sister is smart enough to get the course of her choice in UNILAG, she would have left LAGOS for Ife. That's the lying part of you I am exposing. I am sure she will eventually be one of those who in later years will see UniLag from Third mainland Bridge and wish they had realized the dream of studying their preferred course at UNILAG.
Don't mind that guy jare

First thing first we need to strenghten and build a new mass re-orientation agency that will recreate the patriotic zeal and the unity of the country. Anybody who promotes hate in the country either through speech or writeup must be shot dead. Promotion of cross cultural exchange through marriage. Down playing of religion in our national polity but rather entrenchment of mutual respect. The president can only be stronger than a state governnor by the office they hold and not the resource generated from the state.

People from other places should be encouraged to settle anywhere peacefully. The rest are ok.

The girlfriend should understand that Usain is a nobody without his legs. He grew up in a low class family, he managed to graduate from secondary school and has not seen the 4 walls of the university. He lacks intelligence, class and morals. He is just a common street boy who without his ability to run would have been in the streets of Jamaica pushing drugs.
You can make a trashy person famous but you cannot take away the trashiness from him, that's the typical example we see in Usain. His fame is bringing out his barbaric , uncouth nature which is typical of every man.
Obviously, the girlfriend is well educated and beautiful and is doing Usain a favour by dating him. She does not need a lowlife, uneducated dun.bas..s like that black monkey, she should dump him fast so as not to ruin her reputation by associating with him.

You can say that again. America, China, Japan shut their doors for at least, 10 years without travelling out of their countries. During these years, they were busy developing their countries. Now they're among world powers. America will say come, come and live...they will real out various visa programmes. They won't say come and develop our countries for us so you won't suspect that you're going to be enslaved again, but in an advanced manner. And when you get there, you'd be building their economy for them. They'd first say you must not travel to your country of birth for some years. Before you collect you salary, you'd have spent it all, even if your brother or sister is getting married, you dare not step out. They'll set a living standard you'd be struggling to maintain, you and you get hooked eventually and remain their slaves for life. I'm not discouraging anybody from going to America or any of the western countries to live but that's the realities on ground. Before you know it, you're already old and will become less productive with little or nothing left as savings. I stopped putting up at my friend's place each time I visit because instead of them entertaining me, I'd be the one spending. If you want them to stop picking your call, pls tell them to send you just a hundred bucks. No place like home. Nigeria is a fertile soil to those who can look beyond their noses for opportunities.
This is one BIG piece of misinformation.
Who told you that the Chinese/Japanese closed their borders and stayed in their country?

If anything, they travelled abroad en masse to Europe and America (In the case of Japan and China, even India) to gain education, and learn critical skills in I.T. Medicine, Engineering and many other fields, but the KEY DIFFERENCE is that MOST moved home after their studies and some years of experience in the countries they went studying, and the multiplier effect was that they as a group, with support from the locally trained ones created a replica of what they saw in the countries they studied in.

So don't say they locked themselves in to develop, because that did not happen, and lastly, protectionism is FAR different from locking yourself in, or "shutting their borders".

I hope you get the point.
