Ayo25: You sound ridiculous my friend. What is good about a result that does not translate into winning a medal? I told you the entire team Nigeria won no medal in 2012 while they won 2 silvers in 2008. Why did GEJ government not encourage them to build on the positives of 2008 in 2012? That lady is a typical Nigerian athlete who would blame anything other than themselves for their own failure. Yea even with so called adequate preparations she would have won nothing. Nigerian athletes are Never prepared adequately because we have useless sports federations |

Muafrika2: I've seen some unfriendly mother in laws. An aunt of mine told her son to get rid of his wife for flimsy reasons and the fool did, despite the fact that they had a small kid.
According to psychologists, mothers feel like they are losing their sons when they get married. Many react by fighting the wife.
Daughter in laws can be evil too. But this one has taken one side so he'll never belive his wife's side of the story. That's verry very bad of that aunt. In Africa here, the problem is always more pronounced DIL and MIL because lines are not drawn and each side want a to be overbearing/territorial. Women, SMH |

Conclusions
Dissecting the theory will be too long for this forum, so I'll race straight to the conclusion (U can always refer to the diagram to understand scenarios better)
1) When women are ready to settle down (even when they do not have jobs) their university boyfriends are many times not ready because their graduate job slaries cannot cater for the pair 2) when the bf and gf have both finished university and have jobs, there is a stronger tendency to take the next step into marriage
3) wen ladies have jobs but their bf's dont have, there is a strong tendency for the girls to suddenly start seeing faults in their bf and start looking out for new relationships. Sometimes even cheating 4) Guys that have 'arrived' in Nigeria are most times married 5) Girls because of their inate desire to date upwards have a tendency to cheat with these married guys
6) Guys in their 20's because of their economic emasculation complain that ladies are bitches and gold-diggers 7) Sons of: politicians, top bureacrats and top private sector chiefs have it easier with all category of girls in Nigeria even if theyhave not yet got employment. This is because they represent the higher pecking order that girls desire to date. Thanks to their dads cash, they would already have nice furnished houses, cars and a bright future even while in university
8 ) When your boyfriend travels abroad and you dont yet have a job, U need to be worried because the probability is that except he has a job that can cater for both of you, he will dump u and pick a girl that can complement him there 9) When ur girlfriend travells abroad. The only time u shld be scared is if u dont have a job. Then, she will look out for some other alpha male
10) If ur gf travls abroad, and u both have jobs that pay same rate (all other economic condition being equal), the tendency is also for her to look out for males in the higher order. If she does not find any, she's coming for u.
These are all things that I have observed. Stay blessed You are so right bro. |

Look at this joker Even war torn countries and countries going through worse still got support from their government, so what are you saying? The Ministry of Sports budget is for what? In fact, if we knew we could not have supported them, we should have fielded NO athlete for this competition. Then no one should have represented the country. Any country that neglects sports is not a serious country, anyway why am I surprised, it's Nigeria, a verry unserious country |
Sports › Re: I Won’t Represent Nigeria Again – Usman by Ugosample(m): 2:11pm On Aug 19, 2016 |
Ximenez: Don't put the blame of your failure on anybody else but yourself, you could have gone all the up if you have what it takes without the government support, you are a weightlifter. But at the same time shame on the FG for sponsoring pilgrimage and neglecting the Olympians but i still believe that countries like Nigeria that is with so much pressing issues to deal with should be saved the distractions of even the world Cup for now, so they can tidy up the home first. If you had gone all the way to win a medal without support and dedicate it to your country, then you might get some sympathy and love. But what have you done for Nigeria? That's what you should be asking yourself rather thinking of what Nigeria should do for you. And in your mind, you think you have made sense. You are talking rubbish. |

darkenedrebel: I'm not trying to be an apologist for this pastor —who I think passes as one of those glib salesmen (although the black plum tastes just as good as the white one and appearances could be deceiving) — but I find it disconcerting how none on this thread even had the initiative and sense to ask for concrete evidence before hastily hopping on board to pillorize the accused.
@emboldened__He remains an accused until guilt has been proven beyond reasonable doubt.
This is one of the major reasons why jungle justice may never get weeded out completely. We need not be blinded by emotions especially when it involves sore points as such. Common sense is what we need.
God! I've seen more intelligence in silverbacks at the Chester zoo than in 70% of the Nairaland population. Where us the evidence that the girl committed the act too. There is no evidence on both sides, so based on that, why is the girl presmuned guilty? |

popizaino: thank God you said to you but to most people that have been to both cities will testify to abuja been currently the most beautiful city in West Africa . Most people that I know say Abidjan is far better. Abuja has no light, no water. It's just a fancy dump to me. How can you compare a city that has streetlights EVERYWHERE, running water even in the ghetto, and a working transport system (bateaux bus, costro, etc) to Abuja? Even compare both airports. Come on, stop sounding "patriotic" say the truth. Anyway, it's your preference. |
Travel › Re: Any Nairalander In Abidjan? by Ugosample(m): 12:34am On Aug 19, 2016 |
good4all40: Firstly l must commend those that have dropped comments on this great thread about Abidjan and Cote'Divoire in general.
Orelope is good and reliable for those that can be patient for the 48 hours long journey or more. If Orelope or others are to move from Ejigbo on Monday the Quickest day they will reach Abidjan is on Wednesday Afternoon or early in the Evening but sometimes they spend more days if the buses developed fault.
From my experience l will strongly advice first timer to go via Young Shall grow at Maza Maza though a bit expensive if you don't have international passport or alternatively try to get to Cotonue ask any Okada Man at Tokpa Market in Cotonue that you are going to STC Abidjan Park or Gana Transport both in Cotonue they are cheaper and you will get to Abidjan the following day.
As for French Language Abidjan and Gabon are the best places to Learn French in Africa because everyone speaks the Language in these countries even in their villages. Though their French is categorized into two 1.The official French 2. The Broken French but you will perfectly get along with the comprehension of both after carefully paying attention this may take few months but it worth it. Download great apps to learn French and there are cheaper centers where you can learn French I think there is one at Attecoube, people already living there will help you more in this regard.
Food: this should be your least worry l have been to more than 9 countries in West Africa l can proudly tell you Abidjan beats them all in the abundance of food and it's affordability.
their water is cleaner than the refined ever water we drink here and the water bill is very cheap too. Electricity in this country is superbly magnificent you can have electricity for three months at a stretch here, sometimes you will be wondering are you still in Africa or in Europe. And the nightlife in this country is kilimanjorilically and mightily incomparable to that of Nigeria and most countries in West Africa even Ghana.
My advice: if you are married you can come alone to look for an apartment stay for few weeks or months look for what you can do to fetch you HALAH money and go back to bring your family. If not because of the current poor exchange rate of Naira to most currencies of the world, With 200, 000 Naira you are good to go. And don't forget their roads are good too. And this is good advice. |

Bank workers cannot be trusted, that's why CBN came up with that policy. These guys can take your card and clone it, even shop online with it and you will battling with your bank about debit alert.
Too many crocks in the banking industry.
So it's a right decision, even though my card haven't been stucked into an atm card before. This is another perspective. |
