Naptu2, is this the same Father Slattery that owned St. Dennis Catholic Church at Akoka? I attended his primary school-- Our Lady of Fatima. It explains why we always had our inter-house competition at St. Finbarr's college. Wow Hehe I just remembered the corny song we used to sing in Green House (Father Slattery house) The song does say he's a sportsman. |
Christianity Etc › Re: How Can We Experience True Freedom In Christ? by UjSizzle(f): 8:12am On Aug 28, 2016 |
OLAADEGBU: How can we experience true freedom in Christ? Does freedom in Christ mean we can live our lives however we want to? Freedom in Christ means you can live the Christlike life, and not be weighed down by sin. It means you're no slave to sin, but slave to righteousness. It means that by grace you are an overcomer-- even for things your flesh desires but will grieve your spirit (God's spirit). It means you can do all things (God desires) through Christ who strengthens you. You can call on power from above. You are above the standards that govern this world-- God is limitless and therefore you are limitless. You are bound by no chain, nor are you shackled by anything not of God. He wants you free of even the limitations you impose on yourself and what others impose on you. It means you have been given a spirit of excellence. It's boundless, this freedom. Think of everything your mind could possibly imagine God is capable of accomplishing in you and through you. And then imagine everything you're incapable of imagining... That's the limitless power of the freedom you have received in Christ. What does having a 'full' life mean to you? Imagine what it means to God How can you experience this freedom? Abide in me. Live everyday with the consciousness that you abide in Christ and God abides in you. Do not grieve his spirit that has been given to you. Listen to what God says (study the bible). Pray without ceasing. Draw on His grace and let him work out from within you everything he has promised is yours. |

daveP: Naptu2, you did a great job here at least two-way; to relief Rio-pain(real pain) and at the same time cause pain for what we aren't having again based on what we've had before, i.e The best.
If Buhari can just reignite sports at secondary school level with full focus on its success, he'll be a hero asap.
I don't even know how and when we began to ignore this system and began to look for scrap. But will PMB even think of seeing a ball roll on tv(i don't think so).
Had a guy we called Crespo cos he played like him, the guy came close to a national shirt, but was dropped for one of the 'guys' of those big men in politics.
See how that Okay bare story didn't see the light of the day. so so bad.
Won't be surprise that Divine aka I never espererit, would fade off into gloom if he isn't encouraged asap. see the Bahrain defectors doing wonders in just weeks after defecting. which means the cost of motivation is not burdensome for those in charge. Yet al we continue to grow is Millions of algae and spirogyra in our pools across country. Nice piece!!!! Noticed how schools today lack sport facilities? The education board should make this mandatory. |

You have to love athletics or be an athlete to understand the masterpiece that is this post. Thank you, Naptu2 Imagine if we went back to scouting talented athletes in schools. I remember two girls in particular who dominated 100m and the long distance races respectively back in FGGC-- Adaobi and Millicent. I refuse to believe they are humans. You just have to recognise talent when you're the sports perfect. To say Rio 2016 was disappointing is an understatement. And this messed up Nigeria where we can't boast of representation on the track is... I have no words to describe it. |

Even Jesus won't be overtly concerned with this things. Let your religion be of the heart, rather than worry yourself with this outward show of '(un)righteousness'. I'd wear it. Looks cute. If it really worries you so much, just imagine the slippers represent Jesus as a lamp unto your feet and light to your path |

1. A Camera shortcut has been added on the lock screen
See Pics Below Did they stop manufacturing windows phone with the camera button by the side? Coz I don't see the point of another shortcut button in the screen And the radio app. Do you need internet connection to make it work? If yes, might as well download TuneIn radio instead |

greatgod2012: Well, as for PMB, let's just continue praying he's successful, because if he fails, we Nigerians are the ones that will feel the hardship and if he succeeds, we Nigerians are the ones that will enjoy it.
Though, it seems he's already failing, but with prayers, things can change around.
And if he's hell bent on finishing this country with his outdated policies, 2019 may seem too far but not that far. We'll survive till then and right our wrong. But the problem is........ which party ..... KOWA. They're young, have a point to prove and will be eager to please |
