My uncle had a fish pond in the past. Whenever we had to change the water, we'd fine bones of the smaller fishes at the bottom. Turned out the bigger ones ate the smaller ones for reasons I couldn't fathom. They were feeding well (twice a day and he changed the feed everytime they got bigger). Education. Yes, I agree education will go a long way to curbing the instances of rape we encounter every day, but this time around we have to shift the focus.

There are people who say that even though the woman shouldn't take the blame, she should be accorded some responsibility. Beautiful. The world is a bad place and it only helps to limit the odds in your favor everytime you step out of the house.

But women get the memo; it's been over stressed. You WILL get raped. Period. It's important she doesn't do anything suggestive to the opposite sex. Don't smile too much. Don't flirt too much. Don't accept a drink from a guy at the bar if you won't sleep with him. Don't enjoy or even revel in the delight of the chase (especially when it involves gifts like that's not supposed to be normal) because you WILL be raped. Everytime a woman dares to enjoy life, she's asking for it.

But women have done these things-- we've moved about with the constant fear that our right to consensual sex cam be stripped from us at anytime.
We get the memo. And it hasn't worked. There have been recorded cases of rape against women from the most moral countries in the world with respect to modesty in dressing and social activity. And there have been recorded cases against children too all over the world.

Women have changed. Laws have changed. But the education given to the male child hasn't been attacked with as much severity as the first two. Men are predators, true. They are hunters, true again. But they do not have to be sociopaths. Shift the awareness of how inhumane rape is to the men for once. Spend twice as much time as has been spent teaching women to be decent, and focus on getting the disgusting act of rape from the men.

Let the legislators enact laws that gives stringent punishment to offenders. If there's the possibility of having an executive arm of the police handle crimes of this nature (if it doesn't already exist) that will be superb.

And then the general population at large need to be sensitized. Rape happens because there are masochistic people who believe they can prey on the weakness of others. If we can stop being afraid of them, then they have nothing. What's to prey on when there's no visible weakness to exploit hmm?
Also rape victims are simply victims. They shouldn't be made to live in shame because of the nature of our society. We need a platform where men and women who have suffered sexual abuse can talk about their experience-- the fear, shame, and how they were able to get past it and integrate fully into society again.

There's so much work to be done. Where do we start? *sigh*

Nope, there's nothing wrong with the Lumia devices. Nokia makes a helluva phone.
I use Windows because I prefer the OS to Android (personal choice) and it works fine for my needs.

And Lumia phones aren't underrated. Lumia devices are like the Nexus of the Windows OS.
