DexterousOne: Securities Africa?
I'll check them out
Thank you
As for the wild oscillator
That's why it is called the FREE MARKET.
We all know that investor sentiment is one of the key drivers of pricing
That said; we also know that the share price of a company is the present value of expected cashflow/returns to the business
So if the investors believe that the future earning potentials is huge, then they go for it, and it will reflect in the pricing of the stock
150% rise means the investors believe the earning potentials of the business is gonna double over the future
That's just how it is sir
And we all know this
But in Nigeria
Everything scatter scatter And it get get down to -150% red day next week trading. .....so what has changed? |

emmanuelewumi: What is percentage of the dot com businesses that are still existing, less than 10% and Investors lost huge funds
Thank God you said bubbles, I prefer the maximum daily 10% gain or loss in the Nigerian Stock Exchange compared over 100% daily gain and over 90% daily loss in the New York Stock Exchange As we saw some weeks ago ..... |

DexterousOne: I was talking of institutional investors In general.
Pension Funds are just one type of institutional investors.
If I were a fund manager A good percentage of my allocation is going abroad chasing opportunities
It's out there for the taking
And as an African I have to go get my own piece Yes Sir. I am an individual investor. .....I have Afolabi units outside the shores as you mentioned I will do likewise if am in charge of a bigger financial institution |

DexterousOne: The American Tech space for example
Imagine financing a startup there that then grows in value overtime
For example A share of Amazon is over $2600 plus
Imagine investing when they still had teething issues.
The tech space across the world is a good start
We could also crowdfund and enter the UAE market Hotel/Apartments over there have potential As tourists flock there Jan to December
There are chinese start ups looking for money too.
Opportunities abound
We dont have to be local champions Yes Sir, but the Pension Funds are not targeted to such Opportunities. ..... |

DexterousOne: Great returns could also be gotten abroad as well.
Investing in the america tech space for example has created billions of dollars in value for institutional investors Much more than can ever be imagined to be made in Nigeria
Investing in hotel chains in say UAE is another money spinner
There are opportunities out there
Our Nigerian institutional investors have to go out there and have a slice of it.
That's my thought How can FGN Pension Funds be used in investing Hotels in UAE, Space projects in US? What happened to the untapped resources in Agricultural Sector in Nigeria that can easily employ millions of youthful Nigerians? |

DexterousOne: Since the foreign investors are here
It's a no brainer that our own fund managers should dedicate a portion of their portfolio to foreign investments out of the country too
There are very big deals that can be struck abroad
They should look into that Examples? |

More wealth can be made by them and more people, when they Invest in enterprises or ventures that have the ability to create multiplier effects Words of WISDOM |

emmanuelewumi: They don't need to invest outside Nigeria. Friesland Wamco makers of peak milk is a Dutch company, their company makes a minimum profit after tax of N10 billion from a revenue of over N100 billion every year, they are also empowering Nigeria farmers and cattle ranches.
Promasidor the makers of Cowbell is a South African company making billions of Naira and also empowering farmers.
Olams is also very big in Agriculture. UAC used to have investments in Agriculture but they are not getting it right.
Our institutional Investors need to identify opportunities and invest in such, they have the resources to carry out necessary feasibility studies and management of such opportunities The ROI is in Nigeria We just need to start and join the portfolio guys Loooooool |

RabbiDoracle: Banks will breakout this June and July.
For 4 weeks, all banks have traded flat.
Even economies that are worst than Nigeria are having serious bullish stock market. It is imported liquidity that drives the market not fundamentals of the country. Though fundamentals of individual companies are taken into analysis.
Market will rise and rise fast.
Look at the fall of stocks:
In 4 weeks,
Zenith fell from 18.10 to 16.15. GTB fell from 25.30 to 23.15 UBA fell from 7.25 to 6.40 FBN fell from 5.85 to 5.30
All in 4 weeks. This is too meagre to be call a bear. Bear ravages portfolios in only 1 week. When bear does 4 weeks, heat go don too much
This is a very strong bullish run loading after the unexpected consolidation. Am with you Sir...... FUGAZ has nowhere to go, but Gas upwards |

DexterousOne: Sometimes listening to the "over analysts" is the right thing to do.
I remember when some were ringing bells about Skye Many did not listen
How did it end?
Its good to listen to all the perspectives Then make your decision accordingly I invested heavily in skye bank then and bailouts when I saw their finances were on Red, though one guy in nsepa was marketing skye bank then....Until it ended in crises. No serious investor invest and go to sleep..... But for FGN investments, let it fall on all of us make we see Loooooool |

DexterousOne: This made me laugh
But truthfully
While the risk of upheavals are still present, I dont think that total collapse of the system is possible sha
There may be losses in future and all that But not a collapse of the system kpata kpata
It's been herr for 100 years plus And has stood the test of time Two world wars Depression And all that
Just my thoughts I have been in a stock (Dangflour) from N4 to N20....I refused to listen to their over analysis. I followed Alhaji Dangote until I offloaded at N20. Same ogas here bought UBA at 2.5 when everyone was seeing danger ahead, within 11months, offloaded at N12. Some ogas here bought 16.25% FGN BOND 2037 at discount prices of 18% and will be enjoyingthe coupons until they want to sell....even selling it today at premium price of 11% is still a good profit margin for them Over analysis analysts said all kinds of negative things about Dang flour until they ate their words... |

ahiboilandgas: am not against them investing....but they should understand there is a reason why bonds in uk 2 percent and 12.5 percents in Nigeria ....2 they should understand that each nation has it credit rating some AA some junk status ...they should also know that investor dont just put money and sleep and wait 7 years like a retire.....no they keep an eye on it and that why bond are traded om secondary markets ... Sir, no serious investor invest his or her hard earned money and go to sleep |
