ahiboilandgas: Things i learnt from my Oga ....after his phd and lecturing job he found out that salary cannot make him rich and retired at 40 ....he started investing very early using 20 percent of his income ......he narrowed to two items ....real estate and Good shares ....his real estate portfolios exceeds 5 bn naira ...so i ask him why is he selling some properties (some people might think he broke)..he said no cos he buy properties as investments and once he earn 100 percent above within 5 years he let go....he not emotional attached to any property ...only his family home ....2 he is in audit committe of several companies and director in some . Quite good.... I now prefer portfolio investments......no headaches Loooooool |

Seplat UK listing also lost over 50% value as well... So far, seplat Nigeria has lost approximately 40% of its value... Will we see a further 10% loss to match its global compatriots
Time will tell... Thank you Sir. What price do you see it as a good bargain? |

RabbiDoracle: Why didn't you buy when it was at 117?
You should have a reason for buying stocks. If it is just capital appreciation, you will always lose out and panic sell. Most people buy because of dividends. However prices may go far higher than the dividend holders had imagined and they sell off and buy back when the DY is justifiable.
Your thought that people are manipulating the stock downwards is because your intent for holding the stock is just for capital appreciation. So once stock market starts to fall, you will think it is being manipulated.
From my assessment, Dangote cement is already in a bullish phase. Just hold your stock. Thank you Sir I bought Dangcem for long-term as long as good dividends keep coming. I am already buying back my own shares before the core Investors start buying back |

Why did Access Bank not comply with the directives like other banks by deducting the stamp duty small small without their customers complaining. Let's see how many millions they will discount from their Q2 result from this avoidable mistake |

Hence, I stopoed funding my diamond ac immediately after the merger with Access, knowing what to expect. Though painful "cos I opened the diamond ac since 1992. I have noticed a trend that they do this things when they are about to prepare their coy financial result and also when perparing to pay dividend.
And funny enough, I do make money trading their shares o, Loooooool Hope your buying Access Bank Shares now with H.Wigwe |

I am saying we may not see any serious bear again as business and banks are already adapting to the pandemic era...EXCEPT there is a massive sharp increase in case fatalities of Covid-19 in Nigeria Remember FAAC revenue (without Aviation and poor crude prices) has been in range of 400-600 billion in this pandemic The seemingly poor Q2 results have been priced in already . .... Interim dividends from FUGAZ (except F) will still be released with fair Q2 results and invectors are already positioning or positioned themselves. .... Aviation sector is on a long thing. ...... |

DexterousOne: Are you sayin institutional investors should limit their scope to Nigeria?
While investors elsewhere are branching into many countries markets at the same time?
Ray Dalio for example One man I really respect when it comes to investment, as he runs the biggest hedge fund on the planet is exposed to at least 100 countries at one go.
Nigerians should get cracking and go out there to seek opportunities
Nigeria is just one small piece of the global market
Branch out Am with you Sir |

emmanuelewumi: Banks who went out to establish Businesses outside Nigeria for status symbol are closing such offices
Diamond Bank sold their UK Business, UBA closed their New York Business, some banks are closing their branches In some of the African countries because they are not minting money. Some of the their government and workers are gold diggers.
A GTB staff in Liberia sued the bank and the worker was awarded $1 million by the court.
You need to be matured for cross border expansion and should not be for status symbol or for bragging rights. Exactly Sir. Union Bank plc also sold their UK Business recently |

DexterousOne: A blend of speculations and investor sentiment.
Sometimes all it takes to drive the stock price down so quick is bad news about the company
Like litigation
Or reputation damage
That kind thing We know.... Is that what you want the Institutional Investors to be doing? Remember that the funds belong to their shareholders like you and I? |
