Details are sketchy but available information indicates that Senator Andy Uba who was the APC gubernatorial flag bearer has been disqualified by the Court – meaning Senator Andy Uba was never the gubernatorial candidate for APC.

The court declared that Moughalu, the plaintiff was able to prove that there was no primary conducted in Anambra. It held that APC did not conduct primary election and that Andy Uba should stop parading himself as the APC gubernatorial candidate.

The two brothers, who are from the same biological parents, hail and live within the Akpawfu community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the incident.

“The case-file and suspects involved in the case of an alleged defilement of a nine-year-old have all been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Enugu, for conclusive investigation,” he said.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Enugu has reinstated Barrister Emeka Ibe as the state chairman of the party.

The acting state chairman,Chief Basil Ejidike, was earlier removed by the party on Sunday.

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance [APGA], Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo is projected to be declared the winner of the Anambra State gubernatorial election held on November 6, 2021.

Out of the 21 local government areas [LGAs] in the State – the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] has announced the results of 19 LGAs. APGA won 17 LGAs, PDP won 1 and YPP won 1.

The total votes for the parties are – APGA = 99,160; PDP = 49,475; APC = 40,270 and YPP = 20,292.
