Christianity Etc › Is It Nice For Churches To Build Hotels? by Ukutsgp(op): 8:25am On Oct 14, 2013
It is okay for churches to build hotels? Is it that the money coming into the church is too much and they dont know what to do with it anymore that they resort to building hotels? Or is it for business purposes?. What are the reasons why some churches are building hotels?. As a christian, i dont welcome that developement. When you look at the churches in the bible you will not see anyone that built a hotel for whatever reasons. As for business, Jesus said that his father's house shall be called the house of prayer and not for business.

Furthermore, intimate sins can take place in a hotel which is not befitting for a christian hotel, because as christian we are not suppose to encourage intimate sins.

Finally, let us ask ourselves: why is the church established here on earth? Is it to build hotels for business purposes or to dismantle the kingdom of darkness and deliver justice to the oppressed. Is it not not to preach the good news and deliver salvation to the lost and to feed and cloth the fatherless & motherless(orphans), widows and the hopeless?. The church needs to retraced its step back to the ancient path and hold on to the vision christ has given to them in the very beginning. What do you have say my fellow nairalanders.

If the pastors are using this money to take care of the poor people in church, i will nt have problem with them but they dont rather some use it for their personal needs. Some use it to build hotels, university and so on.

Some said that tithing is not suppose to be practised by the new testament believers that it is now obsolete and that it negate the message of grace brought to us by christ jesus our saviour while some argue that tithing pre-date the law hence it should be practiced. The question is: when will the issue of tithe come to an end in Nairaland?

Many here dnt know the ministry of jesus, that is why they are talking trash. What is the mission of the church?, is it to amass wealth or provide for the needy?. Are there no people wu hv learn a trade but hv no capital 2 start in church? Are there no people struggling to pay their school fees? Are the pastors not seeing those ones, are they going 2 carry d offering and tithe money to heaven?.many people here know all this things but they dnt want 2 tell d truth. What is wrong in pastors buying even keke for the unemployed in church? I am a christian but those thing got me thinking. Church should go back to the era of the apostle where no one in church lacks nothing.

Many are wallowing and basking in the epheora of mammoth ignorance and asininity cos they refuse to liberate their sub-conscious from the chasm of gigantic delusion. But the sommolent characteristics of Goshen's peroration molified the antagonistic predilections of his detractors. But let me maintain my state of equanimity and conviviality cos i am already enthralled by his meticulous elucidation.

Is it wrong for pastors to buy jets?. Pastors like Oyedepo, Adeboye, Oritsejafor e tc said that its help them in propagating the gospel which could not be bad. Is it wrong for pastors to use jets for the purpose of propagating the gospel? What is your take on this.

1 believe frosbel ought to be applauded for his elaborate investiture of grammatical polarity illuminating the vocal atmosphere with incisions made from his vocabulary of residual oscillations in his bemused and amused fans. I therefore tender a locomotive applause for his audacious remark. Never fragitate with the combucious thread of frosbel cos i feel elated perusing his scintillating thread and i want to penecyrate with his agramago deputency.

@pst Olu T. I hv been following this forum for quite sometime now b4 i registered recently And i know those who argue vainly even when the fact are so glaring. Those people are just fooling themselves and looking 4 cheap popularity which will take them nowhere. This thread is not 4 people who ar prepared 4 argument but 4 those who are ready to ponder and learn one or two things from it. It is for those who had regard for God and his word and are ready 2 take their relationship with God to the next level. Thanks.

So you cant understand from those scriptures that God forbid sex outside marriage and all extra marital affairs?. Those scripture are self explanatory and who told you that it is stone age? Unless u want to tell me that you know more than God who said we should abstain from fornication and adultery.

Christianity Etc › How To Prevent Fornication And Intimate Sin. by Ukutsgp(op): 1:33pm On Oct 08, 2013
Intimate sin is one of the most common sin plaguing believers today especially among the young ones. Premarital sex is a sin that is destroying large number of youths today both boys and girls. The scripture warns us to flee from intimate sin because it can quench the fire of God in one's life. To prevent this deadly sin, first you must do away with films, magazines etc that has to do with sex and nudeness and so on and secondly begin to load your heart with the word of God and powerful messages from great men of God. The reason is, you will become what you feed your mind with thirdly, start engaging in fasting for at least twice a week couple with fervent prayer. Fourthly, avoid vulgar discussions which are centred on sex. It can make you less resistance to lust and intimate urges. Furthermore fill ur heart with spiritual songs. You can order for songs from gospel artist like Don moen, michael smith, youthful praise, women of faith etc. This will make you more spiritual and less carnal also avoid spending too much time with the opposite sex especially in secluded places and above all, learn self control as a godly virtue. I can go on and on but this is enough for now. If you know some ways intimate sin can be prevented dont fail to state it. It is God's will for his children to be holy pending his coming. Thanks for reading.

Christianity Etc › Christian Should Shun Superstition And Barbaric Traditions by Ukutsgp(op): 9:17am On Oct 08, 2013
The bible said that 'he that is in christ is a new creation old things have passed away behold all things have become new. 2cor 5:17. Before christianity came to Africa, our fore father used to practice vain traditions handed down from generation to generation even when christianity came many of them could not give up their barbaric culture and customs and they die that way. They practice tradition such as female circumcision, killing of twins, human sacrifice to idols, drinking of water used in bathing corpse of husband by wife, child marriage and many more too numerous to mention. Many of these traditional practices had been stop but some part of Nigeria still holds them. God wants christians to seperate themselve from all these fetish believes and draws close to him. He still wants us to correct those around us practising this things. I thank God for bringing christianity to Africa and Nigeria. I am the light of the world and i am heaven bound traditions got nothing to do with me. I am different halleluyah!. Bethren the time of ignorance is past now God has command all to repent and be save. Shun traditional practices today. Thanks.
