Do you sell hybrid coconut fruit that hasn't been dehusked? I will like to grow my own seedlings.
What we have now on ground is dwarf fruit with bigger seeds.

Hi OP
Please, I wanted to go into coconut farming too. I'm in the process of getting the farmland, and I want to ask if it's possible to plant around August. Also, how can I get the hybrid varieties seedlings of about 300 pieces?
Thank

Nice to hear! Yes you can plant in August after the break and it all depends on where you are based. I have seen and replied your message. Yes we can supply you the hybrid if you want.

This season ( the Flower clutches appeared in late November 2022) I can see almost 60 Coconuts already and counting...

And yes I added Table salt some Feet away from the Plant in a circle.

Cheers!
Thanks man! Please can you share your location to enrich the thread? Much appreciated.

Thanks man! I never knew many nairalanders do follow my thread and suggestions. The effects are so wonderful!

Coconut that I usually get 38- 40 fruits yearly, this year from what we have counted, we should be expecting more than 100 fruits.

Do you know that using salts increases the size of the nuts too?

Op Weldon. The coconut have no protection from grascutters .or their are no grascutters there¿
There are grasscutters. I noticed they kept attacking just 4 among my coconuts.

To save the young coconut from grasscutter attacks, get wire, cute some woods and make a triangular pen round the coconut.

I will make a video of this once I visit my farm.

we use nail to pin them down on the ground especially when 2 dogs are on heat.

That's our plan for now. Because once my wife is pregnant cat will turn our window to crying zone. Normally, I don't attached any meaning to this things. But I don't know if there is any meaning to it.

You can send your wife to her parents house when she is close to labor. Just to know where the problem is coming from.
I will advise you to move out of that place. Don't wait until you loose your wife. If I may ask you, why is it that, it after delivery that the child will die? Again which landlord would be generous in this Lagos not to ask you for rent ones your rent is due? The foundation of the house is bad so move out.

I remember that year in my community, a cele member was doing foundation and I was opportuned to be there, na so the woman carry some thing wey Dem tie wit red cloth put inside the foundation, we were all shocked. I then asked her the purpose of the item, she said it was for protection.

Going forward, after like 2 years, the woman had issues and sold the place. The person that bought the place now, built it and roofed, him too has abandoned the building and looking for buyers seriously.

9jahotblog:
THE IGNORANCE OF THE WORKINGS OF BVAS IN OUR ELECTION AS RELATED TO RESULTS TRANSMISSION TO INEC SERVER AND THE REPORTAGE BY THE SERVER.

1. Inec put maximum of 500 to 750 registered voters per polling unit, thus the BVAS were programmed like that.

2. However, there are several polling units with over 1200 registered voters.

3. In such polling units as in (2) above will use minimum of two BVAS on election day for the purpose of election in the affected polling units.

4. At the end of the election, the votes are counted together regardless of the number of BVAS used for the election. The results are then filled into INEC form EC8A and same is then sent to INEC server via the BVAS. This is where the challenge is, remember each BVAS machine does *NOT* contain total number of accredited voters, infact, each BVAS will make the result "seemly" over voting until all the BVAS(s) used in such polling units *SYNCHRONISED*

5. In this context synchronisation means that all data on each of the BVAS machine has been processed together in the server such that all the data added up to form a single data. However, this takes time and depends on many factors such as data size, network of service provider, memory of server and processor, internal working of various diodes, resistors etc.

6. Practical examples of (5) above is when salaries of say police is made through a bank, it is programmed as a single schedule in the bank and paid by the push of a single button "pay" or "approved" but in reality the police officers will get their payment alert at different times across days sometimes weeks. If anyone print the statement of account of the while payment is ongoing the person will have different statements until the payment is completed, that's when system has completed synchronisation.
Another example is that we get many alert balance of account that is incorrect, infact sometimes the gives two different balance in a single text message -
i. Current bal. X
ii. Available bal. Y

7. This was what happened in the case under review, the APC fraudulently got a report from the server while synchronisation is ongoing while the PDP got another report from the same server after more data has synchronised.

8. The above explanation is not known to many people and that may include the judges of the tribunal and future judges at the appeal court and supreme court. *THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE*

9. We need to make this known to the entire public through public advocacy using NGOs NOT LAWYERS. Infact we need to stage INEC ICT Director in an interactive discussion in disguised voter education programme organised by our NGO people.

10. This must be done in national TVs such everybody including would be judges would have understood the whole idea before the appellate courts judgement.
Thanks for your write-up, very explanatory and educative. The Tribunal wants to steal the mandate of the Osun people.

But there are some coconut plants that don't produce fruits. I know of someone that planted coconuts in his main house and rental house which was just on the next street. The one in his main house never bore fruits while the one in the rental house bore hundreds of coconuts till the tree wore out. The tenants just dey enjoy free coconuts cos the landlord no too get wahala. We were told that it the male and female coconut seeds are identical (just like pawpaw) and one won't know the difference till they get to the fruiting stage.
As I told you that I will take pictures of dwarf coconuts growing side by side and producing fruits.

The coconut is actually the hybrid (agric breed) and not the local one, that's why I'm worried that it has not started bearing fruits.

Good info you are sharing here @ umuna, thanks

Please what can be done to a coconut tree of almost 7 years and not bearing fruit yet?

I'll love to plant 2 dwaf coconuts in my compound, I'll contact you to send to my location during the raining season this year
@anjigreat
Thanks and you are welcome to my thread!

Typically, there are three types of coconuts that I know of and they are:

1. The local breed type (which may take between 9 to 12 years before fruiting starts and they may survive for 80 to 100yrs)

2. The Hybrid (which is a crossing of the local breed and dwarf breed which takes 3 to 4years before fruiting. They could survive for 50 to 60yrs. The Hybrid produces more and bigger seeds.

3. The dwarf breed which fruiting period ranges from 2, 3 and 4 years as the case maybe.

So it is likely you planted the local breed. But not with standing, all you need do is, measure one and the half feet's away from the coconut tree, dig a ring round the tree, apply edible salt (250gr) with a lot of manure, cover with sand and water very well before raining season. Try and be doing this every 3months to see if the situation will change.

No problem, whenever you are ready for the seedlings, I will be of assistance. Also, we shall advise you on how to plant it.

SReporters:
Many Ladies are presently engaged in smoking marijuana! While many were taught by their boyfriends, others became smokers through their friends!

Many guys who smoke weed, when you ask them, they admit that they enjoy the company of ladies who smoke weed because they see them as fun to be with, jovial, full of life and great in bed too.

But when it comes to making a lifetime commitment, can a guy settle down with a lady who smokes weed?

While some guys won't mind ending up with a wife that smokes, others don't see it as a nice idea.

It's not yet proven yet if smoking weed can hurt the womb of a married woman, thereby putting her in danger of not giving birth to children.

Another reason is that irrespective of male smokers enjoy what they do, they wouldn't want a mother who would be a bad influence to their children.

Whatever be the case, as a smoker, would you love to get married to a woman that smokes weedhuh

Where did you buy the seedlings ? Can you share the contact? And perhaps more information about the 2 years gestation period.
Dear middlebelter,

I got the seed from Choba in Rivers State and I nursed it myself and if you need some, please let me know and we shall nurse for you.
To me it is unethical sharing someone's contact details on social media platform (s) when he/she has refused to give me permission to do so.

There are no explanation again concerning the two years coconut than that it fruits in two years sir.

Please see attached pictures of my 2yrs dwarf tree. Planted 11/02/22.

But they are correct in my opinion. You can't tell an unemployed individual to pay for using a toilet...

It was supposed to be free for the citizens .. All the taxes and levies the local government or state government were getting, are they gonna get extremely rich because of the toilet levy?..

They are indeed the real reason the people were suffering and messing the whole places up..
You and me know that anything that will benefit the common man on the streets, is a no no to those in government.

As you rightly pointed out, the government is the main issue here.

Instead of arresting them because they answered the call of nature, can't local government build a well functioning toilet facilities with borehole for males and females..

Employ cleaners that makes sure it's sparkling on a daily basis... At least that will create employment... Keeping a city clean is not really hard... A whole government of Lagos State surly can afford the budget of erecting toilet facilitiesembarassed
There is a functional toilet at Berger bus stop. Most of them don't want to pay for using the facility. #100 is a big money to those chaps.
