Well, as for me, if I truly love a guy, I can kiss him in public....

I can do anything for her, this includes breaking my principles for her sake. but sincerely, my principles mean a lot to me

Raiders:
I met this beautiful girl last year on a public bus and she decided to give me her number. She is 22 years and a final year student of a major university. We have been texting and calling back and forth for the past 2 months and she told me she is single. I have been trying to woo her to be my girlfriend for over 2 months but she insist on us just been friends and she don't want a relationship.

I really like this girl and would love to date. but I feel like maybe she don't want to date me so yesterday I told her we should end our friendship because if she feels that am not good enough to date her then we shouldnt remain friends. I really don't want to waste another month trying to win her heart and later find out that she end up with another guy.

My last 2 previous relationships too me less than 2 weeks to woo my previous girlfriends so I am kinda surprise that after 2 months of trying to win her over she still insist on not dating me. At first, I thought maybe she was playing hard to get but I think 2 months is long enough.

My questions to nairalanders is how long should a guy try to woo a girl before giving up and moving on?

she probably feels u r going to dump her after a short while just like u did to the other 2 gfs u had in d past.
so my dear, don't blame her. she has to guide her hrt wit all diligence, for out of it are d issues of life.

Family / Re: Using Condom In Marriage:good Or Bad? by unamama(m): 7:16am On Feb 22, 2015
Daninya11:
To be honest with you op, the issue of birth control - use of contraceptives, condom and withdrawal is a major concern in the Christiandom..
The Roman Catholic are at the pivot of the matter but the debate still rages on with the pentecostal and evangelical with divergent view..
Sex is for procreation and intimacy (soul tie). Some scholars point to the fact that because God slayed Onan because he spilled his seed on the ground (withdrawal method) any form of birth control is wrong..
I know of a MOG who told me that before he got married, He told God that he wanted 3 children - 2 boys and a girl.. God answer his prayers oo, the man in question is almost 90 years.. Do you expect such a man to use birth control method when he has a God that answer prayer?
I will rather opine that, a man should ask God for counsel, pray and then act accordingly.
Next to God's word, there is no more precious treasure than holy matrimony..
Enjoy your marital life according to God's will

Why Did God Slay Onan (Genesis
38:3-10)?
The story of Onan, son of Judah, occurs in Genesis
38:3-10: "So [Shua, the wife of Judah] conceived and
bore a son, and [Judah] called his name Er. She
conceived again and bore a son, and she called his
name Onan. . . . Then Judah took a wife for Er his
firstborn, and her name was Tamar. But Er, Judah's
firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the
LORD killed him. And Judah said to Onan, "Go in to
your brother's wife and marry her, and raise up an heir
to your brother." But Onan knew that the heir would not
be his; and it came to pass, when he went in to his
brother's wife, that he emitted on the ground, lest he
should give an heir to his brother. And the thing which
he did displeased the LORD; therefore He killed him
also."
God slew Onan because the man contemptuously
refused to fulfill his familial responsibility under the Old
Covenant. This particular practice is called levirate
marriage, in which a dead man's closest unmarried
male relation (usually a younger brother, as in this case)
married the widow to produce an heir for the dead man.
This duty is spelled out in Deuteronomy 25:5-10 to
preserve tribal inheritance rights (verse 6). Another,
happier circumstance of levirate marriage is recorded in
the book of Ruth, an event that eventually produced
Israel's greatest king, David ( Ruth 4:17 ).
Of course, this ancient national statute is no longer
applicable today.
Catholic doctrine uses Onan's story to prohibit the use
of birth control. However, this is specious reasoning,
based on an ancient and flawed notion that sexual
relations between a man and his wife are only for the
purpose of producing children. God's anger against
Onan had everything to do with his failure to fulfill his
covenantal obligation, and nothing to do with his
method of birth control. Scripture does not directly
contemplate the use of birth control, and thus it is a
matter of personal preference within what God has
revealed as proper Christian living. We can be guided by
the principles of personal responsibility—stewardship of
one's resources to provide for children ( I Timothy 5:8 )—
and love toward one's mate ( Ephesians 5:22-33 ).
