The receiver is Mpeg4. All the channels used to work fine. Until recently that most of the channels show no video but Audio is on. Good morning Gurus!! They say two heads are better than one; so I need your assisstance. My strong srt 4669XII used to work well but now It's only GTV/TV Africa on Multi tv that show video & audio. All the rest of my channels like joy tv, Adom tv, cine Afrik etc have sound but no video. I've upgraded my decoder with the latest OTA upgrade 3.12p from Mytv, yet still no video but Audio. Please offer me sollution to deal with this problem that is slowly making my rx dead! Hope to reading GURU'S sollution. Have a nice day!!!

AbdH: Isn't it obvious that the girl refuses to follow her dad home because she knows how intolerant her Christian dad is of people of other faith..whether they are family or not?
Christians say that Muslims don't want to be Christians because they will be killed by Muslims while I believe that Christians don't want to be Muslims because they will either be killed or turned to outcasts by Christians.
I still maintain that Muslims are more tolerant than Christians and I advise that the girl should not go with her dad unless she wants to die in regret.

adimek2002: pls gurus, any solution to these flashing signals on amos. All signal with symbol rate of 45.000 are flashing green/red on my strong 4669x

I hope we can flood them with enough messages for them to start noticing.

Lunsat: Us here in Southern Africa have never locked on to any Badr or any Nilesat signal. The signal fringe reception ends in Kenya and upper Tanzania. My sgggestion is that they should put the MBCs on Arabsat 5c or 5A which everyone in africa can access.

The message to them should be nice and strong, here is a sample message:

"In the name of Allah, the merciful, the compassinate, we plead with you our Middle Eastern bothers to consider us with what you have been blessed. All the satellite FTA signals are focussed on europe, the middle east and asia and very little for us in sub Saharan Africa. To get your signal we need 3 metre to 4 metre dishes. There is no economic or technical reason why this should be this way. All the school text books here show that the last time you our Arab brothers partnered with us was during the great African slave trade and you have never shown any interest in us ever since, which is very negative. Sharing your satellite signal with us will be very useful in helping us understand your culture and our common humanity. We urge you to emulate Iran which helped us understand them better as a people when they were beaming press TV and IFILM in english to us until very recently when they were not alowed by Intelsat. We urge you during this Ramadan to hear our plea and consider our request.Future generations of Africans will remember and appreciate your hand of frienship for ever."

@ all, just cut that and paste in your tweet, add your own words mentioning Arabsat 5c and send and you are done.

obnelly: Not in MENA regions.we are receiving jsc sport here as off foot print bird.With the introduction of NWA Beam via 90cm dish i smell a dead rat here with our dstv claiming they own Africa excluding North Africa.Al jazeera is eyeing a big business in west africa region i suppose ,that is why NWA is there.Let us wait and see.Time shall tell.

Congrats! That's the spirit of FTA! Now that you got Amos 5/C, just blindscan and all other TOs will come out.
If they don't come out it means your either your dish size is not adequate to recieve them or your LNB is not
properly positioned at ypur dish focal point.

Unfourtunately the Nigerian Mux on Intelsat 904 remains a mirage and so Channels TV, MITV, et al are not yet
available for us on that bird. Maybe sometime later things may change for the better.

To get Amos 5/C use Oromiya TP (3626V, 2000SR) or Optima sports (4147V, 5000SR).
You can also use ACBN TP (4136V, 3330SR). The dBW is very high and you can't go wrong.
Since you can already track Amos 5/Ku just take note of that same position and raise your
dish there. Make sure your C Band LNB is at your dish focal lenght and tilted at 2 o'clock
position (very important).
