I was sent to secondary inspection to find out if the knorr cube i had was chicken or beef, we later found out it was beef. My wife packed them so when i was asked the flavour by the cbp officer, i answered that i do not know cos it was my wife that packed it so they said they needed to confirm

Was it your first time of using the visa?
Toks06:

I travelled with only 2months left but I didn't find it funny/easy.i was taken into an office n grilled 2 good times for about an hour. My luggages were brought n searched n when nothing incriminating was found,I was given to stay past my visa expiry date.i never made the mistake of staying to the date because I knew it was a trap,so be prepared n ready for anything..I'll advise she goes for renewal

Politics / Re: Fuel Scarcity: 13 Vessels With 650M Litres Of Petrol Begins Discharge, 52M Litre by uniquema: 4:35pm On Dec 25, 2017
After buying 30 litres of fuel for N20,000 you are telling us this rubbish. You visited some fuel stations in Abuja because that is the only city where the products should be. God will judge you pple
olokeded:
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has expressed empathy and strong solidarity with members of the public over the lingering challenge in accessing petroleum products across the country just as it reeled out multiple measures to end the unfortunate situation before the end of the year.

Group Managing Director of the Corporation, Dr. Maikanti Baru, told journalists at a media briefing and follow-up tour of some fuel stations in Abuja on Sunday that measures were already in place to bolster the current fuel supply and eliminate the extraneous factors that have led to the persistent petrol queues.

He said within the last two weeks the national truck out capacity had been jerked up to an average of 1,500 trucks, translating to 52 million litres per day which is much higher than the normal consumption of 850 trucks per day across the various depots in the country. Also the Corporation has emplaced a 24-hour loading and sales operations in all depots and NNPC Mega Stations across the country while marketers have been instructed to do same.

To ensure effective products penetration across the length and breadth of the country, Dr. Baru explained that the Corporation had activated the Fuel War Room comprising of team members from the NNPC, the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA), and Petroleum Equalization Fund (PEF), with support from the security agencies.

He said while the NNPC would naturally focus on increasing the volume of products on offer, the DPR, PEF and PPRA have scaled-up monitoring activities to ensure seamless loading and dispensing of fuel nationwide and to specifically ensure deliveries to designated stations and sales at the approved retail price of N145/litre.

Dr. Baru emphasized that though the official landing cost of petrol as at the moment stood at N171.40k per litre, the official government approved pump price of N145 per litre remains intact.

On the volume of products available for supply, the NNPC GMD informed that 13 vessels laden with over 650 million litres of products were currently discharging their contents at the sea port while additional vessels have being lined up to berth early January 2018.

He said 814 million litres of petrol were currently being injected into the system to guarantee nationwide elimination of fuel queues before the end of the year.

Representatives of DPR, PEF and PPPRA at the conference registered their agencies’ resolve to work with the NNPC to restore sanity in the supply and distribution of petroleum products.

vo-oh your husband already has a visa

What went wrong? My husband went on that trip alone, spent 12days as planned and came back. I applied again with my sons n our interview is next week, what are our chances? Myself n 2kids ll be Travelling with hubby for just 10days.

Note, my husband was recently promoted at work, so his income increased by over 100k (before on his ds his income was 214k, now 341k). How do i state his new income, i don't want them to think I'm lying cos of d diff with d one on his ds form as at d time he applied, though i have his promotion letter documents. I'm a business woman but i left d income part blank on my ds, hope dts not a problem since my husband is our sponsor and he's going with us. Urgent ans needed. Thanks.
Has your husband used the visa for the first time?

Hi, seyewest, am also travelling with some foodstuff that my sis requested for.( catfish and panla, also crayfish, maggi, curry, egusi) hope I won't have issues? Thanks.

Just make sure your maggi is not chicken flavour, My bag was searched because when the CPB officer (Agric) asked me the flavour of the maggi cubes I had, I told him I don't know cos it was packed by my wife and he requested to see it. After confirming it was beef flavour, he asked me to repack my bag and go.

Hello all,
Came in through the Qatar airways yesterday. Flight landed at Houston by 4pm local time.
Came out and queued up. It was a long queue.
Finally got to cbp officer
Cpb: why are you here
Me: for a visit
Cbp : who are you visiting
Me: my sister
Cbp: what does she do
Me: works with bla bla company
Cbp: what does she do
Me: operator at the company
Cbp: what do you do
Me: I work with bla bla bla
Cbp: place your hand on the scanner and face the camera
Cbp: do you have any food stuff
Me: I answered no but I have cos I didn't know what I heard
She repeated the question and I told her I already filled what I have in the form I gave her.
She now looked at the form, marked an x on the list of items I filled and asked me to wait.
Later, she called airport security, handed her over my passport and customs declaration form and asked me to follow him.
I followed and we got to another section. I was asked to not use my phone there and asked to sit down.
Later, a lady cbp officer called me and took me to get my checked in luggage. I was then asked to meet the officers at a conveyor belt.
There again I was asked by another cbp officer:
Cbp: Do you have food stuff
Me: yes, handing over my form and pointing to him my list of items
Cbp: do you have fruits, plants,
Me: no
Cbp:What do you have
Me: peanut, dry fish, grounded crayfish, golden morn
Cbp: place your bag on the belt
Me: I did
When the bags passed, he asked
Cbp: do you have Maggi cubes
Me: yes
Cbp: what flavor, chicken?
Me: honestly, I don't know. My wife packed it.
Cbp: then we will open your bag
Me: no problem
He opened the bag, brought out all items above the Maggi cube and the cubes were beef flavor.

Cbp: you can pack your bag and follow the way to exit the terminal. Enjoy your stay
Me: thanks

Hello uniquema. "Commodities" is a very broad term. As long as the goods are legal buy and sell and you transport them correctly, the B1/B2 visa is appropriate.

Dear VO,

Thank you so much for your response, the commodities are used laptos and laptop accessories and also children's' wears. i hope they are legal.

Dear VO

I need help.
I have a B1/B2 VISA which I have used once for a visit. In the course of my visit, I stumbled into some commodities which i can buy and sale in my home country.
Now my questions are,
1. Can I travel to the US frequently for the purpose of buying these commodities for sale in my home country as often as i have order for them.
2. Do I need a different visa category for visiting the US for the purpose of buying these items.

Plz note: I do not want anything that will amount to misuse of VISA.
