gunuvi: I am not against border closure but it will be very evil for Buhari to close the southern borders and not close the northern borders. Meanwhile our government's should be ashamed for the smuggling activities going on at our borders or what are we paying the border securities agencies for? I tire for this country. There was a news two days ago stating that some arms smugglers were apprehended while trying to cross the border into Nigeria. One died in the process. I think it cuts across everywhere. |

BigND: I am in two minds to ignore you as I do not want to be caught in a recurring decimal of arguments with morons who speak with authority about things they are totally ignorant about, but if I don’t correct your illiterate opinion, others might think you were saying something reasonable. First of all, the suit by Busola under discussion is a Civil Case in Torts; Do you even know what TORTS is? Why do you people engage in discussions well over your head? A Civil action in Torts has a limitation period of six (6) years in the FCT under the Limitation Act of 1966 which is in force in the FCT. I wonder why people like you engage in arguments in respect of subjects you are not qualified to discuss. Even in Criminal Law, there are Limitation periods for some offenses in the Criminal Code itself. For instance there is a Limitation period of just two (2) months for what we call STATUTORY Rape: sex with a girl above 13 years but under 16 years where consent is not a defence and is irrelevant. Under the Criminal Code, prosecution (not even report/investigation) must be started within two months of the happening of the alleged offence; in this case, we are not even talking months but 17 years, so go figure. The Law is the Law; I did not make it neither did Fatoyinbo. Your emotions, sentiments, morality, etc are of no moment when the issue is the Law in force and applicable to issues under discussion. You dey answer person wey dey talk rubbish up and down. |

Excuzeme: Eehn, Teecsha!
It is not every insituted case that has legal fees, criminal prosecution is done by Govt Lawyers under the DPP office, in comparison to Civil cases which is funded by each party but the loser pays the legal cost of the winner. Dakolo's case is a criminal matter and that criminal aspect will have to run its full course before any Civil suit CAN BE HEARD. Any Judge that acts otherwise will be sanctioned by the Judicial Council
ignorance is so blissful, you even want to whip someone? I think you need to have your eyes checked to see that she instituted a civil case against Fatoyinbo. Now go back and read the write up slowly. |

OBAGADAFFI: If the case is still under investigation, why is your Lawyers demanding money.
Stop the lies, she should pay her lawyers.
“Importantly, the N10m quoted by the media is the cost of the action carried out by her lawyers, to wit, litigation fee. You need to be whipped. Every instituted case will have legal fee attached. It is different from compensation. |

kirkwood: If this money is ever paid, P & ID will be 6.5 times richer than Seychelles, and 4.6 times richer than the richest company in Africa.
Will it be paid ?
The court has simply enforced the arbitral award under the initial arbitration proceedings.
It is one of the easiest judgement to be executed. Place a lien on Nigeria's foreign reserves, attaching the order of court. Once processed, money gone. No need to get the Nigerian government's approval.
This amount could comfortably have been spent on our educational sector, to upgrade the schools and research centres.
Appeal What are you appealing against? Court's hands are tied in matters of arbitration, except where fraud is involved. English courts are not Nigerian courts. You can't bend them.
The best deal is to negotiate, but I can't see Nigeria paying below 3 billion dollars, which in any case would still be over 1 trillion naira. Not as simple as you have put it. There is a provision of internal tain law called Sovereign Immunity. With sovereign Immunity for foreign countries it isn't easy to grab Nigeria's money from assets abroad. |

BlueRayDick: I deliberately mentioned key parts in the state. I mentioned The shyllon corridor cos it is a very very important road in Lagos
Even the ikeja under bridge is very much close to the general hospital. Imagine rushing a known person to the hospital from Agege and one gets stuck there. Just imagine it.
If they can't prioritize within 100 days and think of such key places and have issues partaining to them sorted out in order of importance, then I don't really know what they are doing Alright. No lele. But try send your view and comment to the hotline released by the state government. Many have been doing that and we have seen seeing palliative measures being taken in some of the areas. Kudos. |
Politics › Re: Sanwo-olu Gives Stewardship, Lists Achievement In 100 Days (details) by unitysheart(m): 11:58am On Sep 07, 2019 |
BlueRayDick: What exactly do u mean? If ìkoròdu road is federal road, is ikeja under bridge that links ọba àkran road also federal road?
I also pointed out key places in Lagos where refuse are still being dumped on a daily basis which should be the responsibility of the government.
By the way, what will it cost a governor to patch a major road be it federal or state road? I am particular about that Shyllon that you mentioned. And you think that all the bad spots can be done in 100 days? Please wake up sir. |
Politics › Re: Sanwo-olu Gives Stewardship, Lists Achievement In 100 Days (details) by unitysheart(m): 7:39am On Sep 07, 2019 |
BlueRayDick: Stories
There's a mad pothole on ìkoròdu road between shyllon and onipanu bus stop. NURTW touts collect toll on behalf of the government few meters away from that place. NB: Ìkoròdu is like the second busiest corridor in Lagos after third mainland bridge. And this one says he's celebrating 100 days in office
Ambode was purportedly shown the way out because they claim Lagos was dirty under him cos he displaced PSP/LAWMA arrangement. Today Lagos still remains dirty, u could see dirt at Egbeda, go to idumota early in the morning u would see filth, broad street on the island isn't spared either.....yet he's celebrating 100 days in office.
There's a pothole between airport bus stop and national bus stop when heading to iyana ipaja from oshodi. Filling that pothole won't even take half a day by the Public works department, yet the pothole causes serious traffic on a daily basis.
Even ikeja under bridge close to the Ecobank where there's a roundabout, there's a pothole that causes serious traffic during rush hours that has been left unattended to.
If a governor refuses to fix little stuff like this within 100 days in office and only comes out to reel out plans and plans and more plans, I am really afraid we are in for a long long 4 years o I know that pot hole and I enjoin the governor to give attention to it. But ask yourself, is federal road now the responsibility of state Governors to repair? |
