my own opinion..I think you messed it up when asked how you knew about your school,If I were the VO,I would conclude that wouldn't have applied to the school if the prof didn't tell you to and you're going to the school just because a particular prof lectures there..read throught the pages of this thread from part 1 down to part 5,you'll find useful answers to your questions .

Am preparing to apply for an Msc in Computer science - Spring 2015. Its no news that American Msc's usually run for 2years, Thing is, my Nigerian Passport expires in 2016. That would mean my passport would expire while my Msc program is in progress.

My Question: should i proceed with my current passport which would expire in 2016 or go get a replacement with a much longer lifespan?

my passport is also gonna expire next year during my period of study,I advice you leave it that way and then get a replacement when it expires from the Nigerian immigration in the US(my cousin did his own same way)..my own opinion

Amerinancy: it simply means your passport has been collected from the US embassy by DHL. You can rememeber you do fill if you want your passport to be delivered to your address.

Turned out that the error was from my bank GT bank, I am just coming out of the bank where I went to para for them (customer care) they assured me that I can mail my school and ask them to charge the card again but unfortunately schools don't open in the US today, looks like today is a public holiday in the US or something, but I have mailed my school telling that to charge the card again.
I am so confused, I don't know if I can still meet up with school resumption date which is aug 19..
I have not received my i-20 yet by this time..
Advice please

today is independence in the US.tell them to mail your I-20 via FEDEX,it doesn't take that long,probably 3 days or so

its not gonna last 20hours,the transit time changes most times and also the gates you're meant to check in at,please ensure you confirm your gates when you gate to the airport before you miss your flight..the gates,time,and transit time duration changes

Visa granted this morning at abuja...the interview was for 7:30am and I got there by 6:00am.. By 7:15am we were called in and then the biometrics. The first woman got her visa approved with her two children,the second person was denied,the third person was denied and I was the fourth,just then another VO stepped in and called for me.

As I was about leaving,she called me back,I almost fainted,and she said "sorry your visa will be ready on monday,friday is a public holiday"..she kept typing and looking at her screen...I was so confident that I wasn't scared...just pray and be confident and you'll get your visa..out of all my documents,just my waec was asked for
