I know of a business that you can do with just 55k that will transform your life for ever. It has 6 streams of income within it. It is not scam. It is very legit and is spreading like wild fire now in Nigeria and internationally unknown to many people.. There is no harm in hearing about it. Then you decide if you are willing to give it a shot.

PoliticsEFCC Declares Ibori Wanted Again by upchair(op): 8:07pm On Apr 13, 2010
The EFCC has declared Ibori wanted again. It was on channels 8 PM news tonight April 13th, 2010

Our God does not sleep. Where are Yaradua and Andoakka to come and save him.  grin

I pray this time though he is prosecuted and that he will go to jail for real. This needs to happen before we can start believing in the sincerity of the EFCC and the Judiciary.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has declared the former governor of Delta State, James Ibori wanted on corruption and money laundering charges.

The commission said this in a statement issued by its head of media and publicity, Femi Babafemi. "Following persistent public enquiries over the status of the case involving the former governor, we will like the public to know that James Ibori is wanted by the Commission for interrogation," the statement said.

It stated that letters of invitation had been sent to Mr Ibori's known addresses in Lagos and Abuja, and a warrant obtained for his arrest.

NEXT had earlier reported on Mr Ibori's disappearance after the anti-graft agency commenced a massive hunt for him over his role in the illegal disposal of about 500 million units of Delta State-owned bank shares while he was governor of the oil rich state from 1999 to 2007.

PoliticsBomb Explosion In Jos Today April 12th 2010 by upchair(op): 10:37pm On Apr 12, 2010
It was just announced on Channels television news at 10pm tonight that there was a bomb explosion around Jos . Two of the suspects were injured and one of them lost both Limbs. Investigations are on going.

It was just yesterday that cattle herdsmen were prevented from killing Christians in a village near Jos.

Now I am convinced there are international Terrorists organisations involved concerning the mayhem in Jos.

This is terrible.

Another Christian village attacked in Jos by Cattle herdsmen in the early hours of today Sunday 11th April 2010. However the attack was foiled by security forces. However the cattle herdsmen succeeded in burning down some houses.

It was the first headline on channel TV 10 PM news tonight.

Dear Nairalanders this is too much. I am beginning to believe that this attacks are been orchestrated partly by International Islamic Terrorist Organisations such as Al-quaida in conjunction of course with Islamic suspects here in Nigeria. I say this because this is just too much as in the frequency as well as the short time interval between attacks.

PoliticsBayelsa State Governor Involved In N100 Billion Fraud. by upchair(op): 8:15am On Mar 28, 2010
Bayelsa State Governor Involved in N100 Billion Fraud.  Greed must be a terrible thing Oh. He collected N75 Billion loan facility from a consortium of banks. The money was not used for anything in the state. In fact this has gone beyond greed. This is wickedness. He is heartless. It shows how insensitive he is to the level of poverty in Nigeria. He seems to be another James Ibori in the making.

http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/News/National/5546698-146/bayelsa_state_governor_in_a_n100.csp

Nairalanders as if that is not bad enough. He (Bayelsa State Governor) prevented the Acting President from meeting with the Niger Delta militants on Friday 26th of March,2010. Jonathan was to meet with them to re-assure them that the Amnesty program was still on course and that they should be patient. That meeting was very crucial because it was supposed to help to appease the militants to stop blowing up pipelines meant to supply gas to the power stations to generate power.

He Jonathan knows the importance of generating power  for the nation as soon as possible as this will help to kick start the Nigerian economy in terms of bringing in new investments into Nigeria as well as bringing down the cost of production for existing companies so as to discourage such companies from pulling out of Nigeria to other African countries where power is stable.

Can you imagine the Bayelsa State governor trying to stop this from happening whether directly or indirectly thereby slowing down the progress and development of this country. This is an epitome of putting self before country. We do not need this type of people in government.

Yaradua's health worsened at the weekend . Four doctors flown in from Saudi Arabia at the weekend. Apparently some of the life support machines failed. He is likely to be flown out again.

Can you see stupidity. If Turai had kept her husband in Saudi Arabia and  had not allowed the greed for power to overcome her sense of reasoning, this will most likely not have happened.

The plot to bring him back at all costs seems to have backfired with his worsening health condition.

PoliticsIt Took 1 Hr Plus To Move Yaradua From Plane To Car by upchair(op): 7:16am On Feb 25, 2010
Dear Nairalanders,

(0) The Lights at the airport were switched off when Yaradua's plane landed.

(1) It took 1 hr 25 minutes to move yaradua from the plane to the car  on arrival in abuja airport.

(2) It  took another 1 hr 10 minutes  to transport him from the airport to the secretariat junction which is more or less near the entrance into Aso Rock.

The above 3 factors point to the fact that this guy is definitely connected to some machines he cannot survive without.

I say this because of the time frame stated above.

Thinking deeply from  No 2 above, a journey from the airport to the secretariat junction b/w 1-3 am ( the roads are free) should not take more than 20-30 minutes MAX. That shows they had to drive so slowly cause of the machines he was connected to which implies any  careless driving could be life threatening.

They came early in the morning cause they could not afford  anybody to see the ambulance envoy passing through the streets of abuja during the day. It will embarrassing to them.

The guy wants to die there. Well I guess he and his wife (Turai) are only obeying his predecessor who said "it is a do or die affair".  For his own sake I pray he does not die there. He should learn from Abacha

My Conclusion: This guy is probably in a vegetative state at present. It will be shocking if this guy is be able to rule again. If he is in a vegetative state as I suspect, that means he is in no state to resign even if he wants to. It is now left to the National Assembly to move the motion for Impeachment. However then again the probability of that happening is remote cause of the yaradua loyalists in the NASS. They will try as much as possible to frustrate such a move. May God see us through this.

If on the other hand he is conscious and is aware of what has been happening and is refusing to resign then he should stop  telling us that he will abide by "the rule of law" because he is definitely not abiding by it. He should also stop telling us he is a "servant leader" because he is not. Which servant is he leading?

See the 3rd to the last paragraph in today's tribune to confirm the time frame stated above:

PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Returns To Nigeria: Condition Unknown by upchair(m): 2:24pm On Feb 24, 2010
@ vigamsimple

Your post at the beginning of the 2nd page of this topic sums it all up. I could not agree with you more. Yaradua is just making a full of himself with each passing day as this drama unfolds. And he said he will be a "servant leader" and that he will follow  " the rule of law"  . Rule of law my backside !!!

Two things are certain:

(1)  Turai seems to be even more power drunk than her husband.

(2) As a result she is going to send him to his grave because It shows how greedy for power she is at the expense

of her husband's health.  The whole drama  stinks.

We need to pray for Jonathan. God should give him wisdom to handle all what Yaradua loyalists will now throw at him.

He did not ask for the position but did not have a choice due to the circumstances. He has done nothing wrong. He is not power drunk like you know who.

Like you said Yaradua is not my president anymore. His true nature has come to the open. He is one of the greatest pretenders I have ever known. He kept mute for 90 days and now shows up on the eve of the FEC meeting to be held today where it was likely the cabinet would have moved for Jonathan to be made president.

Oh, It had to take such a meeting today to happen for Yaradua to realise he had to come home (I can't laugh). Like other posters have said, This country is a joke. I wonder when we are going to have good leadership. I truly wonder if it will ever come in this generation.

Qualities of good leadership,

(1) must be  corruption free

(2) must put the nation first before self

(3) Must be visionary

(4) Must be dynamic in implementing policies effectively and not stagnant

(5) Must stop protecting the interests of one section of the country only. But instead must protect the interest of all sections in the country regardless of religious or ethnic differences.

(6) Must call a spade a spade and be objective.

When is Nigeria going to have quality leaders with the above attributes? When are these BOHEMIAN characters going to stop toiling with 150 million nigerians? Believe me that is the million dollar question.  The US has analysed  the implication of Yaradua's coming home in the following article: http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2010/02/24/us/politics/politics-us-nigeria-president-usa.html

God help us all.

CrimeJudges Hinder Efcc From Prosecuting Ex-govs - Farida by upchair(op): 9:25am On Nov 19, 2009
EFCC Chairman Waziri blames Judiciary for delaying prosecution of corrupt Ex Governors. Eg. the likes of Ibori. The

Nigerian Judiciary's Integrity is at stake here. It is giving itself a very bad image at home and internationally. No

wonder Transparency International Rated Nigeria lower than ever before on corruption globally in the last few days.

This must have played a major part in The Global body (TI) in arriving at that decision. Below is the speech by Waziri the EFCC chairman

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mrs. Farida Waziri, on Wednesday, lamented the delay in the probe and prosecution of some former governors named for alleged corruption, saying that “frivolous” perpetual injunctions being granted by courts had conferred permanent immunity on the affected former public officers.

Waziri, who was speaking to judges at the ongoing Nigeria Judges Conference in Abuja, where she delivered a paper entitled “Corruption and Economic Crimes: The Challenges before Judicial Officers,” also noted that some high-profile cases had not gone beyond the plea-taking stage for four years.

According to her, “I speak of the grant of ex parte injunctions which undermine investigations. At the moment, we are battling with several court orders restraining the commission from ever investigating certain individuals and corporate bodies.

“We are yet to understand the legal reasoning behind a high court restraining the commission from carrying out its statutory duties, particularly in the face of notable pronouncements on this point to the contrary by the highest court of the land. I speak of perpetual injunctions, which in some cases have become permanent immunity to some people who are under investigation, even where they have lost their constitutional immunity.”

She added that only special courts could deliver the anti-corruption war, especially in the trial of top public officers who will engage in all manner of technicalities to frustrate their trial.

In her words, “I believe and rightly so, that judicial officers are partners of the commission in overpowering those I call ‘barbarians within the gates’ of the system. These are the corrupt individuals that stand in the way of economic progress of the country and will, at all times, corrupt the system for their selfish needs and greed.

“Judicial officers must help this country, because so much hope is reposed in them. I believe that the proper, judicious, courageous and innovative use of judicial powers can achieve results.

“I earlier cited the case of Bode George, where a conviction was secured within 15 months or so and will want to contrast it with other equally important cases which were filed and have been pending for over four years, not moving beyond the plea stage. I believe that the only difference lies in the innovative and judicious use of the powers of the courts.

“The courts can deny the corrupt the comfort of enjoying their ill-gotten loot by ensuring that they do not abuse basic remedies provided in law for good cause”.

The EFCC chairman, while acknowledging the commendable efforts of the judiciary in the war against graft, especially with the recent conviction of the former chairman of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Board, Chief George, however, regretted that some high-profile cases had been almost completely stalled.

She said: “No amount of good investigation and prosecution will deliver the desired results if the judicial officers are the weak link in that value chain.”

She listed her achievements in office to include securing of over 75 convictions, recovering of over N240 billion lost funds and an aggressive anti- corruption enlightenment campaigns.

Waziri, also reiterated her call for the establishment of special courts, which she said, would fast-track judicial processes in corruption cases.

Waziri, while also decrying the ambiguity in the Evidence Act, calling for its amendment, revealed that EFCC had adopted the smart use of technology in fighting cyber crimes and money laundering.

“It is beyond cavil that the issues Nigeria faces with corruption are analogous to the issues of terrorism in other jurisdictions. Special problems require special solutions and it is absolutely necessary that there should be special courts to try cases of corruption and economic crimes. I urge judicial officers to lend their strong voice to the call for the creation of special courts for the trial of corruption cases. It may be necessary that my position is properly understood. I have not lost faith in the conventional structures of the court system.

“However, we face a situation where unscrupulous accused persons have perfected the art of delaying justice by utilising the technicalities of procedure of the conventional courts. In several judgments, you yourselves have condemned delay of cases occasioned by deliberate antics of some counsel.

“In spite of this, nothing seems to have changed. In many jurisdictions such counsel are now punished through imposition of heavy fines and sometimes, suspension from practice. That is not yet happening in Nigeria and, so counsel continue to take liberty. Perhaps, special courts will help address this problem,” she added.

TV/MoviesRe: Naija Sings: Anyone Watching? by upchair(m): 8:54am On Oct 04, 2009
Fellow Nairalanders,

It is very sad the way Naija Sings ended. Jon did not deserve to win AT ALL. Jon himself said he expected

Tamara or Tarilla to win.  Then again that is PHONE VOTING for you. I think people voted for Jon to a large extent

based on his good looks. That is being sentimental.

However if we TRULY want to be objective, Tamara and Tarilla are much better singers than Jon. Jon has a lot of

work to do if he hopes to go far in the music industry.

Tamara for example is a world class singer. Like Olu Maintain asked her: Where had she been all this while. Her

voice is full of power. She has charisma, elegance  & stage presence. She is an all rounder.

Tarilla himself is much better than Jon. His personal song that he sang was lovely. He is not bad either.

Personally I expected Tamara to win followed closely by Tarilla and then Jon.

Another upsetting thing was that no consolation prize was given to Tamara and Tarilla. I think that was very wrong.

However, one thing I do know is this: This is the beginning of the road for Tamara & Tarilla into the Nigerian Music

Industry. More importantly I see Tamara going on the international stage as time goes on. Like Olu Maintain said,

The Music Industry is waiting for her (Tamara)  regardless of the fact that she did not win Naija Sings and I believe

that. She is too hot to for the local and international music industry to Ignore.

I also do hope that in subsequent seasons of Naija Sings, voters will be more objective than sentimental when they

vote and that the organizers will give consolation prizes to the 1st and 2nd runner ups.
