Alhamdulillah!!! AM landed today

After a denial of my interview at Abuja embassy because of d missing primary sch leaving certificate sometimes ago.
*Today, interview done and dusted* at Lagos embassy centre. It is only Him adorations belong to. Alhamdulillah!

Hello e-families,
I'm here to share my experience here today and pls be patient to read it especially to those about to go for their interview from Monday.
I was scheduled for my interview today(13/07/2018) at Abuja German embassy. Based on wot ppl have been saying on PRIMARY SCH LEAVING CERTIFICATE that it is not really relevant whether it's carried along or not. Though we have some ppl that have scot free because they didn't take it for their interview.
By this assumption, I don't bother to go to my primary sch to get mine even though, my primary sch is still in existence. So, what happened to me?
I went to the embassy today been my interview date. My documents were checked by the Paulinus and he asked, where is ur primary sch certificate? I answered and lied that my sch is no more in existence. He said okay.
Now, Paulinus asked me to have my seat somewhere not to far from d checking pt, that I will go in wen it got to my turn. Suddenly, Paulinus came and told me; Oga I was directed to tell u that you cannot do ur interview today because the VO to interview u said ur primary sch certificate MUST be included in order to interview you. I said 'SUBHANALLAH(God is to be exalted)!' I was so destabilized but I still av that faith in God because I tried to be strong.
Then, I went inside to plead the VO but she didn't even comprise to allow me to bring it after my interview.
What follows? I instantly called my good friend(he hardly comments on NL these days) to reschedule my appointment for me, he assisted to compose the msg nicely stating reasons they shld assisted to reschedule my appointment. Oh! I say thank you to you again a friend like a brother.
After these, I called my sister in Ibadan to help me to visit my old primary sch to get my certificate 4me, it was an emergency call though, she blasted me why I heard 'them say, them say'(u know how dt kind thing dey pain body)...rather she don't has choice than assisting his 'sturburn' brother to get what he wanted....to cut it short, my primary sch issued my certificate to her after checking my record since 1999 I've graduated from the sch. I say Alhamdulillah(thanks to God) for still having my record in d sch.
After all these rigorous stress, I on my phone some hrs after and I heard a msg ring tone, and it was a mail from embassy stating that my interview has been rescheduled to hold in Lagos on the 30/08/2018. I say thanks to God over again, even despite d scarcity of date of the interview.
Pls let me stop here on this, I hope ppl might av gained one or two things on this 'long' write up. Dear friends, pls try n get ur primary sch certificate if ur sch is still existing because who knows wen and where u will be asked to provide it in the future again?...

Please I got interview appointment at the German embassy for 18.06.2018 which is this Monday. Monday is a public holiday. I would like to find out if there is anyone here with a similar date for appointment or if anyone has an idea as to whether the public holiday has any effect on my appointment.

It seems people have treated this issue some pages back. From what they said, this break is a national break which doesn't affect German embassy from their normal activities.
So prepare and attend ur interview and even if the break later affect them, you do not loose.

I will advise you not to use Nipost because of the time constraint. Go for private postal services(DHL, FedEx et all).

Then the requirements are:
1. admission letter.
2. Financial statement.
3. International passport.
4. Passport photograph. Any specifications please?
5. I came across health insurance too, please can someone enlighten me on this?

Pls my people, let's try to read back. This question has been treated several times.
To book for ur visa interview, you are required to upload these docs wit ur full name and residence address;
1. Admission letter
2. Means of sustenance (Be it SL or block acct opening confirmation page from fintiba or xpatrio)
3. Int'l passport data page

Finally secured a visa date today. After almost 2week of torment filled with HBP, loss of weight and loss of appetite. I thought my village people dialed my number ooooooo. I latter found out that all mails sent using my phone always delivers double on the same page making it cumbersome and disorganized I guess that's why the embassy has been ignoring my mails. I had to send today's mail with a computer using an Abuja address and I was given a visa appointment in Lagos on the 23rd of August....

To the other question, do u have the sponsorship letter with you? if yes, no need to use fintiba confirmation letter again. So you book wit the admission letter, Sponsorship letter and Int'l passport data page.

Let me back this up.
Before I got my admission letter, I wrote one of d sch I applied to, to provide me a cover letter stating that I'm participating in the admission processing in their sch. Fortunately I was given a letter as I requested. Truly, I used the letter to book my appointment at the embassy. Below is the mail I got from the embassy:


Dear Sir/Madam,

 

Kindly resend your application as soon as you receive the admission letter.

It's really confusing me. They said I should send my name and address, passport copy, proof of financial resources but I don't know if they mean that I should send the sponsorship document or just to write that I'll use sponsorship letter.

Have u opened an account (fintiba or x-pario)? if yes, then upload ur acct opening confirmation doc together with ur admission letter and Int'l passport data page to book for ur visa appointment.
Note; It is not necessary to block ur acct wit the amt required b4 u can use it for booking.

Fake news? How many of you attended a program that was conducted by Goethe-Institut Lagos on the 5th of June 2018?
This que was asked by one of the guest that came from German embassy to honour the occasion and he said by July 15 the visa application wld be closing. I don't know if any further extension can later come up though.

Hello. If I may understand you very well, u said ur sch gives personal copy in which to me,it translates to student copy. Then collect the personal copy and certify it.
Secondly, u certify all ur docs( try and curb for the docs to be certified in ur sch site for the course u'r putting for) at either embassy or Federal High Court.

Initially, I used my address in Ibadan to apply and got a mail that same day that;
Dear Sir/Ma.
You will be appointed as soon as possible.
Though I wasn't comfortable with d response because I expect a fixed date of my interview.
On the following day, I intentionally mailed them again but using Abuja address this time. Surprisingly, I got a mail from them again saying;

Kindly clarify your place of residence and where you would like to have your appointment.

You had sent in an application earlier with your place of residence as IBADAN. Kindly clarify.

After this I mailed them instantly again explaining myself that Ibadan is my permanent address and I've relocated fully to Abuja, so they shld take Abuja as my present address and moreover I prefer my interview location to be Abuja.
So, along the line I gave interval of days to mail them over and over to consider me for my application because my enrollment date is btw Aug 14 - Sept 28, still they didn't reply me. Then I pray to my God to fix d best time for me and take perfect control on this trial time.
Now, today I heard from them.
I blv all this will end I praise In shaa Allah!

It's been over 2 weeks now that I've not been granted my date of an interview at the embassy. Though it's been a very hard time for me throughout the period but I still blv in my God that he shall never fail me.
Alhamdulillah! today, at 8:45am I received a mail from embassy been approved my visa interview to be scheduled on 13/07/2018 in Abuja.
To those yet to be scheduled, pls be calm and hopeful for the best time of urs to come ur way.

Had my interview today.
I got to the embassy around 5:40am, I met just one person on the queue.

Mr. Paulinus arrived around 6:30 am, and by 7am, they called the first four student visa applicants to come forward.

We were asked to switch off our phones and he gave the four of us 3 chairs each to arrange our documents in the order he was going to call it out.

Immediately he started, he noticed the first guy wasn't really fast, he just started shouting at the guy, telling him that it's like he doesn't want to do his interview today.

From the info i got here, I already knew what to expect and I arranged by documents properly before going to the embassy.

Mr. Paulinus really frustrated the other guys that came out with me. He even threatened to send them out. Me I was just focused, before he even finish mentioning the next document I have already brought it out. He was now telling the other guys why can't they be as organised as me. Honestly, that man puts too much pressure on people, the time he uses to shout can be used to tell them what he needs them to do. You just hv to be very organised and fast to avoid his wahala.

He left the other guys and asked me to go in for the next stage.

I went in, sat for about 20 minutes then one guy and another lady that came for family reunion joined me. after like five minutes, they took the 3 of us to another building inside the compound for out interview.

We waited for some minutes then they asked us to go inside 3 diffent rooms for the interview.

Me: Good morning.
VO: Good morning.
VO: Have you traveled before?
Me: Yes
VO: Have you funded?
Me: No. she gave me a form to sign and asked me to make sure I fund as soon as possible.
VO: What course?
Me: Told her
Vo: What school?
Me: Told her.

She now went on to complete my biometric.

VO: Lets begin the Interview now.
Me: Ok Ma
VO: Why this course? I was about dealing with the question when the VO told me that I should just give her a very brief answer, so I shortened my answer.

Vo: Why Germany?
Me: Told Her. she asked me to keep my answers short again.

Vo: Why not UK, US or Canada?
Me: Told her, had to give her a direct and short answer cuz that's what she said she wants.

VO: What do you know about Germany? please just the key points only.
Me, I mentioned while she types.
VO: Have you been to Germany or Any European countries before?
Me: Germany, No, Another European country yes, I mentioned the country.
Vo: What your plans after your studies?
Me: Told her.

Vo: What's your Bsc. thesis?
Me: Told her.

Vo: That will be all, my office will contact you via male, have a nice day.
Me: Enjoy the rest of your day.

My personal observation:
I spent about 50 minutes with her. most of the time was used by her for typing in my answers.

It seems they have a lot of applications to attend to, hence why she told me from the get go to make my answers very short.

If you answer your questions confidently, they will most likely not give you a test even if they have time for it.

Be calm, the Interview is actually easy to pass through.

Congratulations. Could you pls tell us the order of docs accordingly? Or is it in the way it's written on the visa application checklist?

I didn't apply again after the one on Friday. Just got a mail by 10 this morning with the date. My enrollment deadline is October 31st
