Good Day All.

Yesterday, I submitted the PR application, there was a work history that I forgot to put in the personal history which I claimed point for, but I included it in the work history section.

Can this prone any problem on the application?

Is there anything I can do now that I noticed the mistake?

NB: There's no gap in between the personal history, this work history I forgot to include overlapped with the time I was still in the University.

Please is there any single qualified nurse (from school of nursing), that has done ECA for EE with IQAS?
I want to know if I need to do NMCN verification for my certificate for the ECA.
Please it’s urgent, if anyone can help.
My wife did for her BNsc. I think you only need to evaluate your School of Nursing certificate, IQAS would ask NMCN to verify ur certificate. But it's important that you know someone in NMCN to monitor ur case so that anytime IQAS requires the verification from them, ur case would be responded to quickly...

Good evening ALL,

Pls, for Credentials evaluation does WES evaluate NURSING DEGREES?

Responses will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
WES evaluates B.Nsc as a 'Canadian Bsc equivalence' but to get two or more certificates for B.Nsc IQAS is recommended.

Hello everyone.

Please help!

My family expect ITA in this week. But, when my wife's (Principal Applicant) ECA came, there was an error in her year of birth (instead of 1994 it came with 1996), but all of her other documents remain 1994.

The error actually came from our end. We have contacted the ECA body we used, but it can't be corrected.

Please, I need your suggestions and advise.

Thank you, all.

Good day all.

My wife got a reference letter from her employer but in it, the surname the letter carried is her dad's name (her initial surname before we got married)

My question is, does it prone to any problem, considering that she's using my surname (husband's surname) in all other documents
for our PR application?

Note; the employer is saying they are not going to change it because that's the surname she got the job with when they gave her the job.

Yes, I transmitted it.

But still couldn't get the email acknowledging the update.

I don't want to miss vital information whenever there's update as regards my application.

I need more response on what to do.

Thanks all.

Good day,

I updated my EE profile yesterday, which was successfully done.

But I did not receive an automatic message from IRCC in the email I registered my account with, telling me that I have updated my profile.

What is likely to cause it guys?

Hello,

A question, the good people;

Wife is a PA with a skilled experience (category A) while husband has an unskilled work experience (with category C). Does this combination fly for the husband to be eligible (under the work experience) or the eligibility mainly depends on the PA for FSW?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by upkay: 10:33pm On Jul 05, 2022
Thank you, buddy.

Your analysis is totally correct!

Teeores:
Canada uses official rate.

As long as the amount you have in foreign currency meets the minimum CAD required then you are good to go.

Exchanging foreign currency such as USD to Naira could actually increase your available POF. For example, if you have USD1,000, that would give you about CAD1,300 assuming an exchange rate of CAD1.3/USD1. However, if you exchanged USD1,000 to Naira using black market rate, you would get about N600,000. Since Canada uses official exchange rate, this gives you CAD1,818 i.e. N600,000 divided by 330 (assumimg N330/CAD1 is the official rate). CAD1,818 is clearly more than CAD1,300.

The downside is that you would likely lose when converting Naira back to a stronger foreign currency. But for the purpose of POF, it will give you more available funds.

I will advise you only use this option if you don't have enough proof of funds from your available foreign currency.

Thank you, mate.

icehot:
Change to which currency? If you change to naira, you will need more money buying dollar back on the spot. Don't even think about it, leave it in foreign currency, please.

O and O rate, official rate. But I used xe.com coversion rate.

Exchange to naira bawo? Please especially at this point he should retain as fx o. And I think the rate used to calculate is the o and o rate.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by upkay: 11:17pm On Jul 04, 2022
Hi Mates,

A quick question pls.,

Which rate does Canada use to calculate the POF for applicants from Nigeria? Is it an official or black market rate?

Secondly, a friend has his POF in foreign currency, do you advise him to retain it in that currency or he shld exchange it to naira?

Thanks for your inputs.

WES CONCERN
I have evaluated one of my certificates (carries surname, first name and middle name), I want to evaluate another to serve as 2nd degree but I have only my surname and my first name on it.

Would this pose any challenge?

Thank you
That shouldn't pose any problem. Especially in a developed country, only the surname and first name are more recognized.

Just make sure you write your name as it appeared on your 2nd certificate.

Good luck!

Please who has a plug for lautech transcript, the website doesn't seem to be working.
LAUTECH transcript is so easy, just apply online, pay online and fill your bio data with the address you want it to be sent to.

LUATECH will deliver, and they even respond to mail swiftly as soon as the evaluation body contacts them for verification.

Mine took 3 weeks last year I did it.

Good luck!

IQAS gives two or more certificates for Bsc and diploma ( in sch of Midwifery or Nursing) certificate. But, WES evaluates it as a Bachelor's equivalence (i.e they does not recognize midwifery certificates).

IQAS takes about 3-5 months (when they have received everything needed from you) to complete their evaluation. But, WES processing time is 35 working days (say like 1 month) to complete your evaluation.

My take is; if you have the time, go for IQAS that would give you what you want as you remember that even a 'single point' counts in this struggle.

Goodluck!

rabola1:
Wes evaluated it as BSc but I had a PGD which is what I added so Wes came out as two or more.

For IQAS, I ended up cancelling it, I read somewhere that they sometimes give two or more and another reason why pple used IQAS was because they don’t do verification unlike WES but they were very slow.

Hello, the e-families.

My wife axed her IELTS exam as she got the result today. But I need your view on this matter.

Currently, our CRS score sum up to 455, and she has registered for her TCF exam coming up in a couple of months now.

1. Do you suggest that we wait till she gets her TCF result before we proceed to set up our EE profile?

2. I have watched a demo on YouTube to know how to set up an EE profile but I learnt that once you have set up the profile and submitted it online, it can't be edited to update anymore, unless one deletes that profile, and start to create a new profile afresh. So, if we create the profile and later plan to add her TEF result, how can one go about to update his/her profile to claim more points.

Thank you.

Hi Mates,

My wife is the principal applicant (PA). On her ECA report was a mistake of year of birth (instead of 1994, the report came up with 1996) and it is late already for the evaluation body to rectify it.

My question is; can a letter of expression (LOE) works to explain this mistake when we are asked to submit our application documents?

Note: All her other (official and unofficial) documents carry year of '1994' (a correct year of birth).

Thanks for your replies, my e-families.

its clearer to use printed format. All you names from birth are already listed in the application already. So maiden name being on pof is not an issue
Okay, thanks.

You can write the letter in ink and sign. No big deal. That's exactly what my spouse did.

Yes, you can write a single LOE to explain all the seemingly unclear issues in your application - type this, and keep it simple.
Okay, thank you.

Is it matter to write this letter in ink (i.e pen) or printed format?

Also, if one has two concerns (e.g POF and change of name) to write LOE on, can they be written together on a single letter page or you write the two concerns separate?

Thank you.

If you don’t raise a web form quickly, the next letter you may receive will be a misrepresentation letter alongside a 5 years ban. I can’t believe you didn’t deem it necessary to state that you were refused visa in any country when it’s stated in the forms to declare your visa refusals. I am really hoping and praying that they are yet to finalize the decision on your applications. 5 years ban is no joke! All the best.
My question is; while filling the online registration, is it only on the principal applicant (PA) they ask if there has been a visa ban or on either of the couple? And what's the implication on ones application if anyone of them has been previously banned for visa?

Thank you.

Hello, the e-family.

Please I have a question to ask:

As regard the POF, is it possible that the money comes from husband's (foreign) account when the wife is the principal applicant (PA)? If this doesn't contradict with what I attached in this message.
If it's possible, can it be as a 'gift deed' or letter of explanation (LOE) suffices to back it up at the time of the submittion of application documents?

Thank you for your inputs.

Thank you, I await your response(s).

Thanks for your input. The two B2's: CLB7, one B2: CLB6 and one B1: CLB4

GraciousWords:
TCF and TEF are structured differently so I don't think she can approach them in the same way. Google can easily show her sample papers for each. It may help your sister to read page 1 of this thread for links to people's experiences of both.

In my opinion, changing venues could help, just for the psychological effect.

Read back several pages, there is a particular lady people that has been mentioned repeatedly.

Which one is she always getting less than CLB7 in? I hope her previous B2s have been CLB7 and above.
TravelRe: All TEF Candidates For Canada Immigration, Let's Meet Here! by upkay:
Good day guys, and I give kudos to you all.

Please, kindly advise.

My sister had sat for TEF twice (3 B2's and 1 B1)but she couldn't get the mark she needed to boost her CRS.

At this point she's preparing to re-take the exam again.

1. Do you suggest she goes for TCF this time?

2. Is TEF and TCF same thing (i.e their preparation method, as she's been using TEF materials to study)?

3. Due to proximity to the state she resides, she's been writing the exam in Ibadan. Do you suggests she changes her exam centre in this third attempt to other States (e.g Lagos/Abuja/PH)?

4. Lastly, which (affordable)Tutor can you recommend for her for just one month preparatory class?

Thank you all for your inputs.

Hello,

Is the affidavit you took was in Federal high court, state high court or notary (from private lawyers) ?

Also, did you know if affidavit can suffice similar issue with the 'date of birth' ?

Thank you.

Naijasumii:
Speaking from my personal experience..
I changed two of my names (surname and last name) after marriage. When I contacted NMCN to effect the change of name, they said they can only effect the change in surname which was as a result of marriage but other names remain the same.
Please note that I have done affidavit, newspaper publication and even effect the changes on my National Identity Number.
I decided to start the registration with NMC UK with my new name.
While filling out the registration form, I was asked if there's any changes to my name and I picked Yes and I uploaded the supporting documents. I was told to write my previous name and when I wanted to submit for verification, I was asked which name I'm known for at NMCN.
I have no itches with my verification.
So don't bother about the name change, just do affidavit to back it up as earlier suggested.

I once raised this concern and this was the response by jnyunwa02.

I hope this helps.

Been pregnant even before medicals is done, won’t stand against your visa chances. Trying to conceal your pregnancy is what will stand negatively in the way of obtaining your visa. All pregnant people should disclose their status during medicals because X-ray can harm unborn fetus. As far as you have money to take care of your expenses in Canada and show that you have ties that will induce your return to Nigeria, been pregnant is not a qualms. You can get covered for insurance for yourself and your baby cheaper than normal if you obtain health insurance through your school. I speak from experience of a woman I met here on this forum. While her application was pending, before medicals, she became pregnant. She thought of concealing it, but I told her not a good idea. We worked on her SOP addressing such pregnancy issue and the financial obligation she has made to take care of herself and her baby through the school insurance policy. CIC didn’t see it as a qualms and approved her. She enetered Canada about 4 months pregnant and was not asked any questions at POE. Her story is not unique. Many pregnant people get approved if they can prove the bonafides of their studies plan and return to Nigeria.
Hello Tnablack, pls check ur mail, I sent you a msg
