Finally, someone that actually read the report. However, the opponent knows that Nigeria courts dwells more on technicalities than merits of a case. It has been ruled in the past that Ciroma Ifeanyi Oladimeji is not the same person as Oladimeji Ifeanyi Ciroma. Like I said"technicalities"

Business / Re: A Loggerhead With My Fiance Over Joint Account by upper(m): 5:14pm On Jun 20, 2022
After reading this your incoherent write up, I thanked God for the kind of wife he gave me.

Having read your post severally, I can conclude that you're small business startup operating out of your father's house. You have a struggling fiancé who is a salary earner. Thinking about future together, your fiancé suggested that immediately after your marriage, a joint account should be opened where both of will contribute unstated amount and after a period, you can take out that money and invest in your busines to take it to another level. If the business does well, then he can comfortably resign and join the business or Start up his own. This is a good idea in all ramifications.
However you are the one that knows your fiancé and I guess you don't trust him enough to form partnership with him.

So do what you want but be ready for the consequences
Adeleketoyin:
My people please I need your advice.

I'm having a lil loggerhead with my Fiance.

My fiance works in a company, which doesn't give him time to come home or live in his rented apartment for long.
I currently run a confectionery shop in my father's house.

My Fiance however wants to have a joint account with me when we get married soon in this my confectionery business. According to him, he'll support me, to help him get free in the future to stop his salary work and probably start another business without affecting the family.

But I don't want to have any joint account or partner with anyone in this my confectionery business. I want my business without any check or partner.
He's insisting on joint account to run the business and its getting into our relationship.

Please what do you advice?

Did you even read her post well? Her fiancee wants her to use her own money from her business account to help him setup a business for him so he can quit his job. Lol, is that even sensible at all?

And IF they break up today, who owns the businesses and the house they are building? Let me guess, the man will throw the woman out. LOL

You obviously have comprehension problem

People should ask with thousands of checkpoints in anambra, how come all these attacks. How are these murderers evading all the checkpoints. Something is going on which the fed govt is involved.
There are no police check points any more except the few that are manned by soldiers at the major roads leaving the hinterlands as playground for criminals. This is so because IPOB terrorists have completely decimated security apparatus in Anambra state. They first started with the police, then civil defence, FRSC and finally vigilantes Nnewi South and Ihiala LG are no go area. Car snatching, Killings and kidnapping are daily occurrences nowadays.Despite, folks outside Anambra state still support and cheer these criminals while we on ground suffer the consequences. I am setting up a Medical Diagnostics Centre along Onitsha-Owerri Expressway, Ihiala. I placed a banner in front of office. The next day an officer from Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency pasted a bill of twenty thousand Naira being a licence fee for outdoor on my door. They did not even wait for me to officially open the centre. If not that I have invested a lotof money, I would have closed up because if ordinary signage licence could cost #20,000 for September-December, 2020, what will they charge me for business premises plus other multiple taxations.

Health / We Are Immuned To Coronavirus As Nigerians by upper(m): 12:19am On Apr 03, 2020
Reality is that for some reason, we are not responding to the virus the way the developed countries are. In our community hospital forum, we have not reported an upsurge in the number of respiratory infections that may be Corona virus...So it appears the positive cases are either not sick enough to come to hospital or we have a good grasp of it...I would believe the former The possibilties are that
1. The warm weather reduces survival time of droplets so transmission has to be directly from person to person
2. Our Malaria immunity may be working in our favour as the virus responds to anti malarial drugs and may therefore have some antigenic characteristics as plasmodium falciparium that causes malaria.
3. The reported reduced symptom seen in patients who have had BCG vaccine will likely be seen in Nigeria where most if not all children get vaccinated due to high prevalence of tuberculosis in developing countries. This may also explain why symptoms are less severe in children and more in elderly who may not have been immunized at the time they were born......My theories

Politics / Re: The Act That Gives The President The Power To Lock Down Lagos, Ogun & FCT. by upper(m): 8:19am On Mar 30, 2020
The OP has conveniently cited part of the Quarantine act that suited his narrative. The act clearly stated that it is for infected people and not everybody. Constitution is also very clear on when restriction of movement and association of people applies. Don't justify illegality otherwise, one day it come back to bite in the a**
naptu2:
1) Does the president have the power to lock down the FCT, Lagos and Ogun states?

Yes he does. (Bear with me, I'm going to tell you the full story).

A friend of mine told me something around a month ago. He joked that these flu pandemics seem to appear every 100 years. There was a similar pandemic in 1720, 1820 and in 1920.

Now, I remember my mother telling me a bit about this and I did my own research. The 1920 pandemic also affected Lagos. There was a quarantine, but some people were negligent in their duty and some people aboard one of the infected ships were able to come ashore. This enabled the Spanish Flu to spread in Lagos and people were taken to the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Ikoyi (I can't remember for sure, but I think she said that the IDH was at the location that Creek Hospital [Military Hospital now occupies on Awolowo Road in Ikoyi).

The Bubonic Plague also affected Lagos later in the 1920s.

These diseases led to the enactment of the Quarantine Act in 1926 (it has been amended a few times).

The Quarantine Act gives the president the power to declare any place within Nigeria or outside Nigeria as an infected place and it gives him the power to take all measures necessary to ensure that dangerous infectious diseases do not spread from that place to any other place in Nigeria.

Here's a link to the Quarantine Act. http://lawsofnigeria.placng.org/laws/Q2.pdf

Some people ask if state governors have the power to lock down their states. The act gives them that power if the president has not yet acted

Furthermore, some people say that the president can not lock down these places because the constitution gives people the right to freedom of movement.

They say that the only way that the president can lock down these places is by declaring a state of emergency. That's not true. Read section 45 (1a) of the constitution:

Thanks he Does'nt want to Hear anything about hospital cos he feels it's spiritual but what pains me is the way he sees my ailment as more or less God-given "excuse " to jump ship

As a medical personnel, I have witnessed quite a number of episodes of this condition. When it starts, the patient say a lot of things especially about her inner fears and things that normally she would not tell anybody. This could be very embarrassing and traumatic for the husband. The sad part of it is that you will not remember what you have said but your husband does and may find it hard to believe that her innocent wife is saying or have done such a thing in the past. A case in point was that a new mother who during her episode said in front of everybody that her husband is fond of impregnating small girls in their neighborhood. The man was so embarrassed that he never visited until she was discharged from hospital.

Why won't it dwindle when certain Geopolitical zones doesn't pay tax at all.

How can a federal agency be running what belongs to Nigeria ethnically.
I applied for Tax ID number since November, 2019. Till date FIRS Nnewi is yet to issue me one. Its either there's no network or the FIRS portal is misbehaving. Somebody is in charge of this place, collecting salaries and bonuses yet could not sort out a simple issue of network. How are you going to grow tax revenue if you can't issue something as basic as tax ID number to be to increase your tax base.

God help us

No wahala. Increase taxation everywhere in the country. That's the faster way to get fellow Nigerians to truly demand good governance from our politicians.
You see all those developed countries where politicians can't mess up easily? It's because the citizens are sufficiently taxed and will not waste time to treat the politicians' bleep it once they see that their money is being mismanaged.
There is no increase in taxation. These coys deduct taxes from staff but refuse to remit it to the state Government. You will understand if you want to do something that requires tax clearance and you are told that you have not been paying taxes whereas it's deducted from your salary monthly.

Ah ah, na power bank naa or what is the difference?
You charge power Bank separately. But this innovation combines functions of power bank and phone charger together. Therefore, you can charge your phone and this device together without waiting for one to fully charge before charging the other, Knowing very well that NEPA can take light any time . Secondly, you don't have to carry two phone chargers for power bank and your phone. Finally, looking for extra socket to plug different chargers will be thing of the past. Get it?

A total number of 29,000 votes cancelled, while the wining margin is just about 12, 000 votes? Why is INEC confusing itself? I thought it held in the case of Kogi elections that when cancelled elections are more than the total numbers of the winning margin, the election becomes inconclusive? Where do we move from here with these their inconsistent positions?
Kogi and Bayelsa election weren't inconclusive because of invalid votes rather because of voters who are unable to vote for reasons not due to their fault e.g. violence, unavailability of voting materials, etc. Please do not misinform the gullibles.

Bayelsa and Kogi state elections weren't declared inconclusive because of cancelled votes rather due to disenfranchised voters who could not vote due to violence or inability of INEC to provide voting materials for election of the state officials.

Bangladeshi Suffers Rare Condition That Causes Tree-Like 'Roots' To Grow From His Hands And FeetAbul Bajandar, 25, from Khulna, suffers from a rare skin disorder known as Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis
. Condition means that wart-like lesions, resembling tree branches and bark, grow from his hands and feet
. Medics have now come together to discuss treatment - seven years after he began suffering from the disorder

A Bangladeshi man dubbed as the tree-man because of wart-like lesions growing from his hands and feet has been admitted to hospital.
Abul Bajandar, 25, from Khulna, has been suffering from a disease known as Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis - a rare and inherited skin disorder - for the past seven years.

Doctors at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) will now decide on his treatment after forming a medical board of experts.

Abul Bajandar, 25, from Khulna, in Bangladesh, has been suffering from a disease known as Epidermodysplasia verruciformis, where tree-lie roots grow from his hands

Dr Samanta Lal Sen, chief coordinator of National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery of the DMCH, made the announcement today. On duty doctors visited Mr Bajandar at the burn unit, where he had been admitted today.

According to the dailystar.net, the ricksaw-van puller was previously taken to the Gazi Medical College Hospital in Khulna. According to local reports, the original tree-man Dede Koswara, of Indonesia, died today. Tribunnnews.com reported that it wasn't the disease to cause his death.

In 2008 the Discovery Channel told the story Mr Koswara. In the programme, he returned home from hospital after having six kilo warts surgically removed from his body.
An American doctor had previously said the warts were the result of severe Human Pappiloma Virus (HPV) infection and doctors thought his type was the worst in the world.

The skin condition, which is in inherited, cases wart-like lesions on the body. The lesions are pictured on Mr Bajandar's feet above

The father-of-two first noticed the warts on his body after cutting his knee as a teenager. He was later sacked from his job and shunned by neighbours when the branch-like growths covered much of his body and stopped him from working.

At the time it was reported that he would need at least two operations every year. Previously, Mr Koswara was forced to take part in a circus act in Bandung in order to make ends meet. But once his case was publicised donations from the public began to flood in for his treatment.

WHAT IS EPIDERMODYSPLASIA VERRUCIFORMIS?
Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV) is a rare and inherited skin disorder which creates wart-like lesions anywhere on the body. The condition is caused by infection with the human papillomavirus and can create widespread skin eruptions, including wartlike lesions and reddish-brown pigmented plaques. In order to inherit the disease two abnormal EV genes, one from each parent, must be present. No serious treatment against EV has been found, yet several treatments have been suggested. Notable cases include a Romanian man named Ion Toader who was diagnosed with the condition in March 2007, and the Dede Koswara, from Indonesia.
