Some lawyers are the reason for Nigeria being backward in every area. Just imagine this statement of the Governor being a ceremonial CSO but the IGP has control over all States. Now, the question is, what is the position of the constitution on this matter? Did the constitution which should always be his guide in the profession say the Governor is a ceremonial CSO while the IGP has every right to cause chaos in any state? Or is he speaking from the terrible political view in Nigeria? Where the FG just want to be in charge of everything without showing true Federalism.


Why are the governors part of the Nigerian Police Council with the President being the Head?

They can. This is a 2012 order. The Sheriffs came to mark the properties earlier this month and were locked out by estate management. It's probably these sherrifs that petitioned the AGF and IGP for backup to help enforce the court order. It's immoral to keep denying people justice simply because they're poor.

PS - Malami Minions are trying to divert the discussion to the supreme Court judgement rather than the real issue which is the ABSURDITY of the Governor of a state not being aware of a security operation in his domain and the CSP disregarding a direct order from him to stand down!

The governor of a state has absolutely no right over a supreme court judgement. In case you don't know, a Supreme court judgement can remove a governor and even a siting president.

No one, not even the president can stop the order of the supreme court. The order is final.

But they should just settle out If court.
