xynerise: I am always indifferent on issues such as this. This is one of the most controversial issues in the church. There's nothing controversial here, we all know that its biblically wrong, we just decided to do it irrespective, because we enjoy it....every narrative is just trying to twist the truth, deep down we know the right thing. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Ibiyeomie: Ladies Shouldn’t See Their Fiancé’s Manhood Before Marriage by Upworkwriter007(f): 4:17pm On Mar 11, 2020 |
Advancedman: The scriptures never said most things these pastors are dabbling into. Moreso the quoted scripture is marriage not courtship. And this is an era where what we refer to child bride is the order. Not when a lady in her 30s is concerned. Marriage is between two readied adult and by the law of the land Naija is 21. The scriptures is for all era and dispensation apply it rightly. Preach the Gospel not fear and intimidation. If you were alive in the time of jesus, pretty sure you would have said jesus was preaching fear when he spoke of the parable of talents. What the pastor said there is simply flee from temptation........ |

myobjective: I am a civil engineer and I have actually visited both city to work on building project. I used to have this believe until I actually visit Ibadan to handle a building project. During the course of the project, I actually traveled around and I was amazed by the level of development of the city.
The edge the south normally has over the north is presence of more middle class. These middle class are the people responsible for most of these modern districts in the south, reasons why southern states capital normally have more modern districts than their northern counterpart. For example, a city like Minna has wonderful road, canal and drainage in the city but the built up areas are abysmally poor compare to a city like Awka that may not such infrastructure. Minna infrastructure were largely built by the Babangida gov't but due to the level of poverty of inhabitant the city is not so good. I spent over 10 years in IB, i went to a part of IB i've never been to last week, and its about 1hour away from ISEYIN, the place is highly populated, hold up sef....U couldn't have gone round IB like that, just when you thought you've seen it all, someone will tell you of one location like that.... |

Grgton: the last paragraph though..
in Nigeria we celebrate villages while in South Africa they celebrate cities with Downtown Lol.....the only part of ibadan with brown roofs is the mapo/beere/kudeti axis of ibadan. those areas are as big as a city, so i understand the perception that that's ibadan... that 80% of ibadan is congested? i won't even say 5% of Ibadan is congested. That brown roof area is the village of ibadan, where the indigenes come from. mafo |

Nowenuse: What exactly are you guys arguing?
Parts of Suleja & Karu are in Nasarawa & Niger states, does that stop these places from being part of Abuja urban area?
Agbara, Sango Ota, Ibafo e.t.c, are all these places not located in Ogun state? Does it stop them from being part of greater Lagos Urban area? Now i'm confused, shouldn't a location be in a state to be the states urban area. like can u have lagos urban area in ogun state or Ibadan? |

From Suleja, through Mandala, Zuba, Kubwa experess way all the way down to AYA, to Abacha barack, down to Marabba and even Masaka are all consider to be Abuja. I sabi abj die...but u don't know ibadan....i know all these places you mentioned, its not big bro.....Kubwa where NYSC camp is, AYA the popular bus stop, abacha barracks on the way to nyanya, bro i no all this placess nah..even grarimpa axis. aw far nah, urban areas for ib big pass everything op dey potray. |

Abuja municipal actual include the city centre, Kuje, Kubwa, Suleja axis, Gwagalada, Mararaba etc. But ghe actual city center is actually small. mararaba is in nassarawa.....suleja is in niger state.....If Kuje to Nyaya is far, then you need to check the urban areas of ib out...Olodo is an urban area in IB that the guy left out...i know this areas bro |

myobjective: Bro, believe me, Ibadan is better than Kano, I have been to both city and I can tell. The modern part of Kano is much smaller than that of Ibadan.
Apart from the oil-producing states and Lagos, Kano earn the highest revenue from the federation account due to her perceived population and the number of local government, so it should more be developed as it is also easier to develop infrastructure like road in the north-west than south-west due to rainfall and soil condition. The person who did this measurement is very funny. |

Nowenuse: Thank you very much for this enlightenment.. If these places you mentioned are added, then Ibadan could be up to 600km²... Still not enough to displace Abuja.
No hatred intended, but personally I feel Ibadan an urban area so large in size is not living up to it's potentials... Imagine Ibadan being bigger than Kano, but it cannot compare Kano in terms of finance, businesses, industries, infrastructure and cosmopolitanism. Ibadan, as well as many other Yoruba cities are experiencing a very serious brain drain if you ask me. Lagos is taking away all Yoruba elites, intellectuals and entrepreneurs and this is not really good. ,....Wait ooo, do you know Ibadan? or which Ibadan are we saying sef? kano is the economic capital of the north, but the rate at which Ibadan's population is exploding is very massive. ....... But Abj is not big,......abj municipal is not big at all....compared to urban areas in ibadan? common i know this two states like i know the back of my hands... this stat doesn't reflect the true stat of things . |

That's the same way APC was shouting as if they meant well for Nigeria...now PDP has ruled, APC is ruling , and Nigeria is still in deep waters. That said, you should note that if this loan is not well used, Nigeria is in deep shit because we can't sustain the debt....by the way, experts say that less than half is needed to start and complete those project , and guess what, the money is just to complete projects from where they stopped. What it means is that we'll be borrowing to fund massive corruption. The north won't let you know that the middle belt (north central) never agrees with the core north.....in fact the south has a huge influence on the north central and the political machinery of states like kogi and kwara is actually controlled by the Lagos man.....Plateau doesn't not like the core north....benue has problem with the hausa/Fulani...my point is that the north cannot win an election alone, they have never done that and I don't think it will happen anytime soon...the problem is that the south is not united. .those four northern states mentioned above are only northern on paper, in reality a southern candidate can defeat a northern candidate....kindly add taraba ... |
