pippimp: Then he should have said that plainly. "As pastors, try not to keep beards". But the argument still is, you can have beards and still look professional. So his comment does not make any sense. He is definitely not suggesting that a beard is synonymous to devil worship. What he means is that as pastors, be exemplary. Dress well and look the part. Also be disciplined. The military doesn't allow beards ( well western military) and it compliments their look (They keep a low cut too). Point is that as pastors, it will compliment your look |

If only these dumbcats can read between the line.
I don't attend redeem but i see a lot on inspiration in what the man in saying ...yet again i repeat read between the lines
Its not only about beard it about appearance and presentation. The man might have mentioned beards but in essence, what he was saying is that as pastors and church leaders and infact all Christians, in your appearance, try to look decent cause you are suppose to be a role model.
Same about praying for an hour and marrying in the church ...He doesn't mean those literately either he is only suggesting that you marry someone that doesn't think praying (TALKING TO GOD) is boring or should be short.
Also about marrying in the church, the clause after was that it will be easier if you share similar beliefs.
You ppl need to contextualize things and understand the reasoning behind it. |

magicminister: i really do not understand the press release by LUTH.
1- They said Mayowa is an old patient of theirs already on treatment for another ailment??
what i understood from this is that she was misdiagnosed and was treated for different ailment instead of cancer for a very long time. The family discovered it was stage 4 cancer after getting diagnosis from another hospital.
2- This 31year-old lady came into the Private Wing of LUTH on Monday, 25th July, 2016 with a history and clinical features of an intra-abdominal mass. The family and the patient brought along some results of laboratory investigations ordered and done from outside LUTH.
They only knew she had cancer or "mass " after she was diagnosed by another hospital.
Why in the holy hell would the family continue treatment with luth if they weren't able to diagnose the right disease in the first instance? Now they are saying they wanted to conduct another batch of test?? I believe this process will take another couple of months and its obvious every second is crucial for mayowa.
3- the family however requested to fly Miss Ahmed outside the country barely 24 hours after her admission in LUTH, So, basically they have been treating her for a mis-dagnosed ailment for a long time and only admitted her after they came with test results from other hospitals.
Nigerian public hospitals are a disgrace.
Come on guys, let's be real here. Most of us will go above and beyond for the people we love. I wouldn't wait for any quack doctor in a public hospital to give me diagnosis before making my own moves.
I don't see any scam here. i see scam AND you are the scammer how the heck did old patient graduate to misdiagnosed ?? Except you have inside information that isn't preview to everyone else, fam you are slandering You obviously have no medical knowledge else you would know that NO!! medical practitioner will treat you based on results from another institution except if you were referred. Even at that they still have to carry out tests. It is the PRACTICE!! Lastly its quite possible to change your mind about treatment in 24 hours but how can you squarely blame the institution for that ? i am not saying her case is a scam or not ..i don't know enough to make a decision on that but from the statement put out by the hospital, You have misrepresented the Hospital in a bit to arrive at a preconceived idea!! |

Bolustic: The main problem of Nigeria isn't over dependence on oil alone it's over dependence on imports. Tell me one finished product Nigeria exports, none!!! Economic diversification is the only way and it's always a long term project, so I'm non-plussed with IMF's negative economic indices.
I feel the PMB's government should focus on:
1). The revitalisation of Ajaokuta Steel Mills, if fully functional, it can serve Nigeria and West Africa,
2). Assisting Kebbi and Ebonyi states in rice plantations, it's on the record that Nigeria spent over 1 trillion naira on food imports in 2015 alone of which you and I know the percentage rice is gonna carry,
3) Reviving the moribund textile industry, why should Nigeria still import clothing materials?
4) Carrying out massive reforms on the Nigerian education system, studying abroad is one of the factors placing strain on the dollars, Nigeria loses billions of dollars to UK, US India, South Africa and even Ghana and Benin Republic,
5) Nigerians love cars, Innoson Motors needs to have plants in Lagos and Kano as well as engage in aggressive advertisements, else it would be still be seen as an eastern, not Nigerian car
6) Lend all support to Dangote as regards his refinery, refining oil in Nigeria will ease the burden on the naira in no small way.
7) Work harder on power generation.
Finally, the government needs to realize that WHAT WE DON'T HAVE IS WHAT WE DON'T NEED. Outrightly ban imports on things like tooth pick, brushes, Polish etc WITH WHICH MONEY |

Initial post Did you say relative peace Guess you was a boy back when Abacha was alive as you cannot recall the number of people that died (were actually killed) for no justifiable reason. If you know of, or is related to one of 'em slain hero's you will not open your gob to voice such a ridiculous notion. Same goes for all those rulers you mentioned . #FUCKINGPISSTAKE CzarChris: I don't go about throwing insults with every kid that has access to Android phones that probably doesn't belong to him. Well, abacha in all his fallings maintained the exchange rate to the dollar at 80naira, he never increased PMS more than 15naira. Yes nigeria was going through though times, but recall it was mainly because of sanctions placed on Nigeria by the International community. So Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Congo DR etc. that the loss of millions of lives would have been avoidable had the citizens of those countries been allowed to rule in their own way and not being influenced by outside interfaces. You can't cross my fence and come into my house to tell me how to rule my home. Of course I will revolt against you. That 1914 amalgamation is one of the soar parts in the history of Nigeria, why? Because someone from England thought it was a great idea to join a group of diverse people to be one, and you expect peace?
Liberate yourself from mental slavery, nothing good can ever come from the western world to developing countries. Who is/was the hero of democracy that died truly for liberty and never connected to some adverse motives?
I am entitled to my opinion and so are you, never insult me in any thread again or else, I go change am for you. Let me systematically break it down you for you. I did not insult you; its been 18 years and regardless of how of how old you are now you were 18 years younger when Abacha died. My suggestion of you being a kid is not totally unrealistic. To compensate for otherwise my choice of word was " I guess" Now I am going to insult your dumb, daft demented out of the world insane notion you call an opinion you uninformed, stupid oblivious of facts, living off fiction deranged, slowpoke. For lack of better words, ode ni e! 1 Exchange rate is unrelated to democracy its an economic policy, and whatever the rate was back then it doesn't directly equate to living standards. 2 yes, fuel might have been cheap as Bleep but it wasn't available. The purchasing power of 15 Naira 20 years ago is in effect the only way you can argue price of fuel not by direct comparisons . but how can your daft self know that ? 3 Going through tough times was the least of Nigeria's issue then, lack of the rule of law and the impunity with which the military and any one close to them sabotaged the country and took advantage of the poor was unparalleled by any stretch of imagination 4 Fear was gripping the whole damn country and no 1 could speak for fear of death 5 The Abacha loot is still been credited back to Nigeria as at 18 years later 6 Your talk of 1914 is nothing but a baseless rant of slowpoke. it is completely unrelated and out of place. Yes British ppl put us together and you don't like it; well go through the proper channels to secede. You are definitely mentally enslaved as your numskull self fails to realize that Nigerians are the main problem of Nigeria starting with uninformed, stupid, pudden-heads like yourself and then to the greedy, corrupt leaders but then again wankers like yourself put them in power. About my Android phone, It is mine, i bought it with money i earned, not stolen funds, and I am proud of it although i am using a system at the moment just so you know. faaz24: 1. If Buhari prosecutes an Igbo man for corruption, Igbo people will say he's doing ethnic cleansing.
2. If he prosecutes a fellow Fulani man, they will say it's because the criminal is a PDP member.
3. If he prosecutes a fellow APC member, they will say it's because the criminal is giving Buhari a tough time within the party & they're trying to frustrate the accused out of the party.
4. If he prosecutes someone that doesn't belong to any political party, they will say it's because the criminal is an anti-government critic.
They're yet to say whether the person being prosecuted is guilty of the said crime or not. We're simply comedians! I already said it. Buhari's anti-corruption fight won't be possible inasmuch as we keep politicizing and ethnicizing the whole thing. To discover that the same set of people that want corruption stamped out are the same ones saying all these things breaks one's heart.
When GEJ was president, why didn't he also prosecute all the thieves in the opposition? He was trying to be Mr. Nice? Mr. Nice that landed us in what we are in right now?
Get me right. I want Aregbesola's account frozen like Fayose's. But if I'm to distribute gifts to a group of people whose names are on a list, does it matter whether I start from the top, bottom, or middle? The most important thing is that the name of anybody that gets the gift is on the list, isn't it? Ok. What if the gift finishes before it reaches some people?
Well, in this case, it's not exactly the same. Buhari's gift is enough to go round everybody. So no matter where he starts from on the list, nobody will miss out on the gift. And nobody can dictate to him where he should start from. He made the list, not you or me. He that makes the list reserves the right to start anywhere he wishes. Instead of wasting our energy arguing on where he's starting from, we should ask whether someone who doesn't deserve a gift has gotten one. If that hasn't happened, then what has the noise been all about? you are obviously deluded if you think it will circle round to APC . Supposed charity begins at home, how come he aint starting from APC members? Even better, what if he went after previous PDP but now APC? that will lend his fight much needed creedence. |
