Hi guys sorry I'm dropping my travel transcript and experience rather late...

Left muritala into. airlines on Monday, 10th August via emirates airline. Night flight, we took off 8:50pm o. The dot to dubai, 7hrs exactly. Got to dubai at 4am Naija time, 9am dubai time...has a layover of 7 hrs, and connected the next flight at exactly 4, but we didn't take off until 6pm dubai time...it was a loooonnnng flight to jfk new York, 13 hours...emirates was cool to fly with, services on point...the dolls they have as hostesses are cute and extra nice...food was there but a lotta rubbish, I couldn't eat most of them...layover was interesting, albeit long...

Arrived jfk 2 hrs behind schedule, and poe was very easy, as in, no hassles at all.

IO: place your hands on the machine bla bla bla...
Pass me your visa,
Can I see your i-20,
Alright, enjoy your stay in the United States.

It was past midnight, and the shuttle I booked to take me to bridgeport had closed for the day, since I arrived 2 hrs late, and they stop work at midnight...had to wait till 6:30 am at the airport...

Lemme skip all that cos there were some drama; I wanted to find my way on my own, but had to go back to the airport and wait till morning for my shuttle to resume work...

Got to my school at bridgeport and requested a transfer, and I was asked to present the admission letter from my new school, and a mail from the school that they are expecting me, which was done. And I got a mail thereafter that my sevis details has been released to my new school. And I left that weekend for alabama, where my new school is. I have registered and started classes, and menh, this place is lovely.

You don't need your school transcript at the embassy for any reason. No vo will ask to see your transcript for any reason. Once you've secured admission they expect the school in US that gave you the admission to have ascertained that you truly graduated from where you claim, and with the required grades for admission...

At best the vo will ask what school you finished from, what year, and what you've been doing since graduation...

No, your not having made travel plans Shouldn't affect your visa approval. I answered no to that too, and I have my visa.

And yes you can change your ds160 without needing a rescheduling. Send a mail to support@ustraveldocs.com telling them you want to update your ds160 information. And attach a scanned copy of your passport and new ds 160. And provide the ff dtails:
Surname:
Given Names
date of birth:
email address:
New DS 160 confirmation number.

You will get a mail notifying you of the change after 2working days

My interview isn't for another two weeks, but I'm already getting the chills. Wish all those who have theirs this week success.

I have two enquiries:
1. There is a section in the DS-160 that asks if one has already made travel plans. Would answering in the negative raise red flags i.e. would it cause the VO to deem you an unserious student?

2. I'd booked an appointment with a previously filled, signed & submitted DS-160, then I spotted an error while reviewing it. Now, I'm filling out a new one. Will I need to book a new appointment, or can I somehow tie in my new DS-160 to the current appointment date?

They only deliver transcript plus evaluation report to skools. U will need to order for your own evaluation report. Login to their site and order for a copy. It is either they send it thru courier and standard mail depending on ur pocket.

WES shoul send you a copy. It's part of the fee you paid for the evaluation.

Lol, they won't feed you while you are out but you will have more than enough food with emirates, the entertainment is something else, you will watch movies, listen to music, play games, beautiful flight attendants with red lipstick etc. your 7hours layover will be over before you know it because of the free wifi, the airport is big and beautiful, better pass naija one zillion times so u can feed your eyes while waiting on your connecting flight. It's one of the best airlines so far, you will enjoy it e nu go

That's exactly what I plan to do.

I am processing a school but their admission process was kindda slow this time, so I went to get my visa with the i-20 of the school that had already responded.

You have to have admission from the other school first, then get to the school whose i-20 you used to secure the visa and request a transfer with a "goo reason". They will put you on-status and then transfer your status to the new school. But you must present the admission letter and i-20 from the new school first before your previous one will release you...

I've not tried it yet, but I know someone who knows people that did it successfully that way. With prayer and faith and positive expectation it will be done.

One more thing. I requested for a change of ds 160 comfirm number but didn't get an autoreply mail. Went ahead with the one i didn't want to go with since that was what reflected on my appt page this morning. Visa was approved with it.

This evening I got a mail telling me the das 160 number was duccessfuly changed. I checked the page and it now reflects the new one.

I have a visa approval with the old one, and today the page now shows a new ds number. Hope this will not affect the already approved visa?

Anyone with info on how this thing works.

I already replied the mail explaining what I just explained here, butt no repy yet.

Yeah, that's what it was for me at the end of the day (a stroll in the park) cos it was a stroll with Jesus and favor worked for me. Lol. I also had a ds160 issue that I said I wantedd to update a new one that won't look like I was helped by an agent; but I still couldn't do that. I just went there trusting Jesus to help me, and yeah, He did; being my Big Brother.

Here's the transcript:

Hi guys; I have sent the mail to update a new DS160 this morning. I scanned my new ds 160 and passport page and provided the information in the above quote. But I did not get a mail aknowledging the receipt of my complaint. I thought I was supposed to get that kind of autoreply mail aknowledging my complaint...

Anyways, I'll check my visa application tomorrow evening and saturday morning to see whether the change was effected. If it wasn't, them I'm going to go to the embassy with the old ds160 and trust God for His favor. I do understand that u wanted to update ur new ds160 code to reflect on ur appointment confirmation and also the no. of times u can reschedule has been exhausted.

But there's an option; contact the visa support services firm ( CGI ) at support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com, for the update of ur new ds160, it takes no more than 48 hrs to be done by them once u have provided them with the necessary requirements like copies of passport bio-page & new ds160 confirmation etc. After which you log back onto ur profile to print the updated appointment confirmation.

That way, u no longer need to reschedule for it to be updated. I did mine this way, it worked. If it didn't, I wouldn't have quoted you.

Yea, no more can you update your DS160 number on the visa booking page as before. You would have to cancel and reschedule again. Given that you don't want to come off as being helped by an agent, I think that it is pertinent that you go with the DS160 you just filled out yourself. At this point, you have no option than to cancel your appointment date, update your DS160 number and book another date. Also be aware that there is a number of times you can cancel and reschedule your appointment date before the payment becomes voided, which I think is 2 times.

If this is your first time of booking or you have not been denied a visa in the last 6 months, another option is to go ahead and reschedule and use the emergency interview option. When is your resumption date?

Thanks a lot. I have actually used up the number of times I can reschedule with my current fee. When the woman cancled and rescheduled, that was one. The date she en was august 3; I checked for another date and rescheduled to july 6th.

The option I have is to either pay another visa fee, or just go with the viable ds160 and trust God for His favor...

Hello NL family. Great place this is. Please is it possible to change my ds 160 confirmation number on my visa application and print another visa confirmation reflecting this new ds 160 confirmation number.

Actually what happened was that I had issues with my first ds160; I just couldn't retrieve the form any more. I was getting an error message. And I had already scheduled an appointment with the number. I had to go to the office that helps with travels and passages in the school I finished from, and the lady said I had to fill out another ds160 and cancel and reschedule another visa appointment. She decided to assist me in filling the form. When it got to the place of : were you assisted to fill this form? She clicked on yes, and put her relationship with me as school official assigned to travels and passages.
I didn't like it; I wanted it to be a no. I learned the embassy frowns at agents, and I don't want it to look like an agent assisted me for a fee, cos she didn't charge me; she was just doing her duty as a school official putting a student/staff through travel tinz.

Now I fell like changing the ds160 I will be needing at the embassy. I filled another one the way I want it and signed it. I tried going to the "update profile" on the visa appointment page with the hope of changing the ds160 confirmation number to the latest one I have, with the hope of printing a new visa confirmation page, but it gives me an error message. The other option would have been to cancel the appointment and reschedule with the latest ds160, which is what the woman did when the very first ds160 form was corrupted, but I don't want to loose my date, july 6th

But someone told me it was possible, that he did his own that way. Please house it it possible.

If I don't get it done I'll definitely go with the one the woman assisted me with and trust God for His favor. But I just thought to tie up loose ends as much as possible.

You can reschedule. Just keep checking intermittently you could see an earlier date pop up. I was able to reschedule yesterday. I initially had 3rd august too, but yesterday I checked and say new dates 1st and 6th july. I was so happy men. Just check around 12 noon there about.

Hi guys, new here, but heard a lot about how very useful it is. I have a problem with my ds-160. I was almost done with the filling of the form, but hadn't signed yet. I saved it so that I could retrieve later. But I have not been able to retrieve the form. I get the message: "error, your request could not be processed. The site administrator has been notified of this error. You do not need any further action. Click on retrieve to ..." That's what I get each time I want retrieve my application. Anyboody has or had this issue before, and how did you solve it. Thanks.
