GrammarNazi1:Umahi is being all over the place. He shouldnt be speaking both as an investor and a regulator at the same time. I can point out some flaws in his statement. For instance what's to say the entire 50k vehicles will go all the way, which is why I was asking earlier about the tolling strategy . |
afrodoc2:Yeah, best thing to do honestly. I wish I had enough information and data on it to make an assessment but I dont. The FOI Act is just for decoration in Nigeria |
OasisX:20 years is quite short oo. Means a likely high toll rate/fee. 20 years from the concession date or from the completion date? |
TemporaryHansel:That's not how these things work irl. Think about how much debt funding dangote refinery got vis a vis his personal networth. His company has access to various options of financing and they may explore that route |
The questions I have on the project, Not sure I can get it online. If anyone can help I'll be glad Funding Structure - That huge commitment from a private entity can only mean one thing?? Is it gonna be tolled? what tolling strategy will be adopted Is it a concession and for how long? What protection and guarantee structure is in place if and should there be a change in govt? What are the terms of force majeure in the agreement? |
Itsrm:In situations like this, there's usually a bid bond in place by those bidding before any contractor is given approval/wins the bid. This is usually a major requirement Also, I suppose there will be placeholders (competitors that didn't win) that can step in if that happens. |
Itsrm:Postpartum blues...lol. To be fair, it was a low blow from the Minister too. Also she isnt asking the question in the right manner. Not sure she totally gets it. In an Infrastructure project of this nature, first, there's usually a preliminary EIA report usually done by an independent party, which she ought to have asked if it was out, then the approval which is usually in phases. The EIA report also gets revalidated. Her question should have focused on what stage they were and not that they didnt have an approval in place. Because to me, her question looks like she's asking if the FG can confirm that a ministry under the FG approved that an FG project can take place?. Even if that was the case, how's she gonna prove it? Except I'm missing something here |
popizaino:Oga, whilst I dont claim to be without my bias, Everything I wrote there is what I observed and looking at the stats after the game, I'm inclined to agree with my judgement. We are still dealing with the mess you advocated for despite my arguments against it. If only Poch deployed some level of tactics or football know-how to our games, maybe there'll be excuses for him too |
raumdeuter:Yes I agree which is I said it mostly stems from his lack of confidence in the squad. Especially with the way he was tinkering. I may be wrong though as I haven't watched them well enough this season. But even you agree that Leverkusen are having a Leceister season But his PSG days was so different. That team played with way more confidence and blitzed through opponents. Not this cautious approach I have been seeing from him Also, those Bayern players were accumulating errors and losing concentration a lot yesterday. Imagine Eric Dier being your best performer in defence. Beyond the Kim guy, That Mazraoui guy got away with a lot of rubbish. He and Goretzka had zero interaction dynamics and it was almost like that was the first time they were playing together. Anyway, The point is now that the coach is out, your leadership also needs to look extensively at your squad cos there's a lot there |
raumdeuter:Yeah, maybe the bolded going by today. But I saw something else, TT isnt confident in that squad and a lot of his in-game tactics and switches reflected this. I expected a lot more dominant movement of the ball seeing as Madrid slowed the game and left so much space across the middle channels but TT was rather adaptive and cautious of both wing channels and made a lot of in game tactical adjustments based off of that - Switching Sane, Guerreiro, Davies, Musiala.... But he's also one of the best tactical managers in terms of maximizing a squad. Seeing him in action and I could totally understand a lot of what he was doing and the why. I've missed that To be honest, I dont think any other coach will go so far with that team except there's a proper rebuild. All those old players your team is parading with their lethargic football and error prone plays in 2024 is a no-no. |
Raumdeuter, I think beyond a coach, that Bayern team is in need of a proper squad rebuild. That team was underwhelming. What I saw today was more of adapting to the opponents style rather than imposing yours. |
afrodoc2: ![]() Take it that you dont like Bellingham. Why though? Think he's alright if you dont buy into the plenty hype typical of new English young stars |
TrebleChamp:Not taking away from your main point but the bolded isnt entirely true. There are a few CBT international exams that I know of whose results aren't released immediately. Most likely reason for this is to ensure that the exam quality control processes and data quality review steps are completed just to ensure results are presented accurately. I.e - recheck questions and maybe the difficulty, revalidate against errors in all of the questions, account for time use and exam constraints - then account for all of this in terms of scoring and results profiling |
Leyqute:BTW, Aren't you a United fan? How's Mount treating you guys? |
OasisX:"CBN is pegging the rates". Interestingly reserves are still in decline still, I wonder why Itrm isnt bothered about where and what the reserve payments is going towards. Isnt CBN defending the Naira?. No one seems to care about the status of the reserves until Naira appreciates. Anyway from what I'm seeing in the market ( NAFEM data). Looks like there's a lot of apprehension as sales volumes are really declining. Institutions and supply side arent selling and demands seems excessive. The market seems volatile at the moment and I wouldnt be surprised if CBN actually intervenes at this time |
raumdeuter:If you torture the data long enough, it will confess to anything - Ronald Coase |
swiz123:The club ownership, sporting directors, coach. Just about everyone of them is doing a terrible job. First things first, there needs to be re-organization in the team. Maybe a new coach so I can see some level of structure with these players but given where we are currently, seems unlikely. Also which coach would be willing to commit career suicide to come here? This is our new reality, mid table and inept with no end in sight. I am actually getting to the point where I feel nothing once the team is losing especially seeing how frequent it is |
User09:See due dilligence on the Ratcliffe guy that wants to purchase our darling Manchester United. Any further debate should be had with the writers of the article. Maybe dem be Anglophobe too |
Let me look for English articles on Ratcliffe. Dont have time for all this drivel https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/jan/20/manchester-united-fans-nice-jim-ratcliffe-psg https://www.ft.com/content/b837272e-6292-432e-aa25-acbee8dd268c |
Ibime:Dem say person purchase team in 2019, see the season this man asked me to bring up. Very clever guy and knows what he's doing. I think i've had enough already, go lick your wounds somewhere else |
Ibime:When I say I hate having conversations and debate with you. This is exactly what I mean. You will lie, twist truths, fabricate just to come off as right. At least some of us follow french league to an extent. Ratcliffe bought Nice in 2019. Before then those guys were constantly in top 4 or at least their presence there wasnt surprising. Check them out post 2019 The team is constantly in disarray from a leadership, recruitment and transfer angle. Just like how the oga himself does things on a whim |
Ibime:Funny maths and deduction. Why not do a comparison - before Ratcliffe vs after Ratcliffe |
Ibime:Oga go lick your wounds somewhere else. Dem say person bid on a whim and had no concrete plans for the club. Yet thats the one that was supposed to be taken seriously. I know what you are. Maybe ask Nice fans while at it for Ratcliffe reputation |
Ibime:Bloody liar thinks he can get away with lies. With all my criticism of Boehly so far. All I said was the consortium was preferable to Ratcliffe based on preparations and submission of bids within the required timeframe. And any right thinking person will agree with me |
WhoDeyHause:Now you see the point. Maybe you can say it to the guy who spent multiple seasons blaming the DM for everything wrong with the team |
User09:See my comment on the bid. Ibime will lie, twist things just to come off as right. What a dolt. He say na Anglophobe. I must be Telegraph, who the hell will approve after seeing the above |
E dey pepper you abi. Thats what it feels like when u spend multiple seasons on a crusade only for the guy to leave and the team is worse off. Lucky all the time. Lucky with UCL, Lucky with UEFA best player. Must be the luckiest player on the earth |
As I no get anything to watch again, I've just been busy counting the number of Jorginho's forward passes since he entered. I don count 5 so far and zero back passes |
5 nil is too embarrassing man. These guys need to do us a favor and score 2 own goals |
Better Kai doing the scoring than anyone else ![]() |
chrisooblog:Short term - Yes as I suspect there will still be some signaling by the CBN till it gets to the desired rate maybe within 700 - 1000 Long term - No, no evidence so far as the structural fundamental issues are still present (Oil production, dollar supply etc) Of course, this is just my opinion and based on what ive gleaned from the market/data so far |
Android17:Ici c'est Paris ![]() But I also want Tuchel to. As a nice parting gift ![]() |
