Havertz10: back to haaland
We could add goal bonus to his wages
Let's say 150k a week, 20k bonus per goal totaling 150k+ every week
Haaland is going to be a star, I have no doubts Lol... Dude is demanding almost 450k a week. Raiola wants 600k for him lol To put it in perspective, Kante's the highest earner in Chelsea at around 290K |

Havertz10: that daka is more of effort than talent
But your arguement is sound, how old is the daka guy self, looks old. 22 lol. But cant rule out the African age thing |

Havertz10: who should we go for then To be fair, It would depend on if TT sticks with his 3 atb formation or if he changes it. The whole drama around Haaland may not really be worth it. Expensive, Incredible wages which could kill our wage structure, Mino Raiola fees. And listening to most of his interviews, He sounds like a proper mercenary and would just be using us as a stop gap Maybe a relatively unknown guy like Daka does it. He fits the kind of profile TT wants in his forward. Low risk, high reward and he has a good conversion rate which beats most of our forward. He's also good at finding spaces and quite physical too |

Kilishihunter: Mendy won the UCL and has been in great form, probably the reason why, some top clubs are also circling him and he wants 6mil per season, At this stage I don't think donarumma would want to share goalmouth responsibilities with anybody plus the fact that he has a very controversial agent in raiola Infact it was raiola who made him not to accept Milan's offer Shit, I didnt know this. Bye then |

While on the subject of Goalkeepers, Donnaruma is already free of his contract with Milan. Why dont we go for him, let him battle it out with Mendy. He also has the advantage of being young at 22
Kepa is a sunk cost and should be sold or loaned |

nihilistjnr: Nobody wanted to buy the guy at the price he was valued at simple
That's why it was only Chelsea that EVER bid for him Because of Corona. Dont interpret it more than what it is. We were one of the few top clubs who's finances was in the +ve and still ok during the crisis |

Havertz10: Lampard has never said this
All this started with kepa, Chelsea forced their way into that deal and people started to say that Lampard doesn't have a say in transfers, there are coaches and there are managers, Chelsea nowadays only appoint coaches, it's easy to say since Lampard isn't the manager, any signing that goes against British agenda isn't Lampard's choice No one really knows. I think it was Ibime who once said, U could easily confirm going by Lampard body language when we were having our slump, The players he stuck by were the once who he was convinced by; On this part I agree with him. Also listening to Redknapp speech about our summer purchases when Lampard was sacked was also a pointer |

nihilistjnr: Was there Corona in 2019? The timing wasnt right then in 2019. Most top clubs had 2020 benchmarked for him except of course bayern who wanted it delayed To give a perfect illustration, We would use Halland. It is very likely most clubs stall their pursuit for him for at least 1 year for similar reasons as Kai. I am almost certain he's still a Dortmund player by the start of next year, despite what all the transfer gossip would have us believe. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by User09: 2:14pm On Jun 03, 2021 |
nihilistjnr: I kuku have a subscription to the Athletic.
Let's look at the key points from their articles on the Havertz transfer.
Pic 1. He was an Abramovich buy
Pic 2. Lampard was hardly alone in contacting the boy. All the big clubs contacted him to find out if he was interested in playing for them. The boy is a good player...he's just not 100m good which is why..
Pic 3. None of the big clubs bid for him, and were waiting to price him at 60m. This is what forced Chelsea's hand. If they waited to compete against the big boys at fair market value, they would lose. There's no way an official bid would come in from Bayern for a German player, and Chelsea would have a look in.
So whilst Bayern were waiting to submit bid at 60m, Marina and Abramovich essentially overpaid by 40m, knowing that nobody else would match that bid.
That's how according to the article you quoted, we signed Havertz. NOBODY BID FOR HIM.
The Lampard call literally means nothing. Lampard's boss was the one that wanted Havertz and instructed him to make the call. Only because of corona. We only took advantage where we would have stood no chance. A lot of expensive players pursuit across most clubs was dropped as a result of covid. Even Valuations dropped. Dont make this look like a Kai thing |

Havertz10: British propaganda, Chelsea bought kai because he was the next young star, Lampard was the charmer that made ziyech, timo and havertz deals possible, he knows how to convince players, I will give him credit for convincing them to join
even Toni kross that rarely praises players hyped kai I'm not sure Lampard really wanted Kai. He only convinced him after the decision was made. Kai was a board/Abrahamovic buy. The players Lampard really wanted were Mertens, Tarkowski, Rice and Chilwell and at some point Aubameyang |

Havertz10: gbam, buhari was threatening people with that tweet
Also he forgot to mention that it wasn't just Twitter that acted but people on Twitter reported the tweet to twitter hence it's removal, I didn't like the tweet myself, it wasn't necessary at all To be fair, Whoever wrote that tweet, his media aide or whoever did him a whole lot of disservice. I watched the video with an unbiased mind and there was a whole lot of context and background to that statement. Twitter rides a lot on momentum and I doubt he would be worried about it |

nihilistjnr: That pass was perfect for a first time shot iin his left foot.
The guy missed with his left and then finally took the shot with his right when he was off balance.
You know how many goals Aguero has scired from that exact position? Aguero has a low center of gravity and better close control. Not a fair comparison Honestly that pass was not really the best of passes; Could Werner do better, Yes. Infact, he should have left it to Kante or passed to Kai seeing he didnt have the right balance but as always, he's ever eager |

Una eyes go clear next season, make we buy better CF first, make I see where Harvertz go play.
You think say Na by scoring in a finals, Gotze and Origi did... Where dem dey?? You've not been paying attention to Tuchel then. The first one was created by havertz but the commentator called mount's name, I even said it that people will think that it was mount that nutmegged stones to make this chance

TBH only striker I have in mind is Haaland but I'm starting to get some Tammy vibes from him.
And Havertz no bad as striker so I'm not rushing. We can use opportunity to try some experiment knowing Havertz is still there Wrong. He's the definition of what you like. He puts all his body on the line and has no element of self preservation |

popizaino: I don't underrate him because of his defensive deficiencies,I don't even know if he got one, but for the fact is that he is completely useless with the ball. Playmaker are often suppose to be the most intelligent players on the field because of their abilities to have their eyes at the back of their head, and also to turn defense into attack but this simple thing is lacking in jorginho's game . He's a regista, Maybe if he was further up the pitch, u can look for the defense splitting passes. He's not even doing badly in this regard, He has the most through passes among all our players this season only behind Timo Jorginho is very key to our organization and contrary to popular belief, Jorginho actually performs better and shows more control under pressure. He draws opposition players in before passing backwards, sideways or turning out and moving forward. A very solid recycler One day when I'm in the mood i'll bring up the stats which shows how we perform significantly better with a Jorginho vs without him -Well there's always the correlation causation part - but the sample size is too large to ignore. Hardly ever injured despite playing quite a lot of games under TT. We know his limitation yeah but we also know how he's important to our tactics and organization |

rooftops: ...I am not sure he does personal training. 3 years now odoi's shooting ability is still same, he rarely dribble. The guy should buckle up, just one bad loan deal and he will be kissing playing in a big team goodbye, he should ask his big bro at Fulham "the rolls Royce" TT's main problem with CHO is he doesnt take risks in the final 3rd. Numerous times under TT recently, I have seen him telling CHO especially with his hand gestures to dribble and move into the last space in front of him. CHO just seems to pass the ball or just opt for a cross Similar with James but at least we know James is talentless in that regards but he's got the advantage of being defensively better as a wing back I do think he has the attribute but his attitude and work ethic seems poor added to the ACL thing, maybe there's a psych effect here |

With what I saw today. It's clear who should start in the UCL final
Mendy, Rudiger, Silva, Christensen, Chilwell, Azpi, Kante, Jorginho, Werner, Havertz, Mount(60)/Pulisic
Then Kovacic and Ziyech should come in as subs |
