I was one of PO's cheerleaders when he was governor because I liked his prudent, program based approach to governance. However, I didn't support his presidential bid because I don't believe that anyone no matter how competent will be able to dig us out of the hole we have found ourselves.

We need fundamental structural and even constitutional reforms to surmount the challenges we face. I hope to be proven wrong but this is just the beginning of our troubles. If and when a) Ukraine and Russia get tired of killing each other and b)Saudi Arabia is able to extract the security guarantees it needs from the USA, oil prices will crash, That is when our real crises will actually begin.

You made some salient point no doubt,with all these issue you list ,our go-to solution will be a military takeover as they are the only one who can make these rigid reforms in a short while. But can you vouch they won't be worse than these dictators we are criticizing? I can't tell

The reason some yorubas like myself rooted for obi was because of his prudency and shrewdness in management of public affairs and finance.
At this critical point when we need to shore up our dwindling finance, Obi would never have appointed 48ministers, he would never have budget have approved new cars for NASS members.
