from the mundane to the sacred, Nccf gave me so much, its going to be an Herculean task to reel out all the effect of staying in Nccf family house and in general what Nccf as a body has done my life.
And don't start thinking that this is one of those stoned sanctimoniously pious Christian 'bror' that did morning cry everyday of the week back on campus. oh no! sadly, u are mistaken.

I was the quintessential rebel who questioned all forms of authority and a strong advocate of the philosophy 'live and let live' but Nccf changed all that.
of cause I felt caged; felt bundled in a religious box. of cause being punished by a male or female corps member that chances are you are older than barking orders and monitoring you felt so alien to me but my God it sure sculptured my life

I learnt about Christ in the deepest form ever! I was given the bible bones to chew; not meat like we have in our home churches; I mean dry, fire licked bones. I learnt how to control myself and how to find myself back when I wonder from the pathway. its even strange that I am talking like this.

Nccf was worth every minute I gave to it. I met great people; brothers, sisters, mentors and friend; I learnt new things and it gave me a platform to understand my purpose in life and God knows am not alone with these facts. let me stop myself cos have already written an episte.

hoodboy: Well in Uniport the two disciplines are fused into one, Linguistics and Communication studies... Just graduated and I'm going for service by November. I think a fusion of the two is the best deal anyone can get, at least it gives you the option of knowing which you'd rather major in while affording you the chance to gain knowledge on the two disciplines which if you ask me are interrelated. Without language man will not communicate as we do now, so understanding how language(s) function makes you a better and more functional communicator

Mine is directed at pastors and preachers. They should Stop using delaying tactics on d pulpit like: finally, am rounding up, lastly, let me just add this, once again, on a final note..... All these unending conjunctions really annoy me alot in our churches. What happened to being direct and precise or do some of them just enjoy d sound of their voice.

Have heard people talk about the "mysterious" disappearance of their credit on their phones but i've always seen it as a hoax until last week when it happened to me.
I bought a recharge card late saturday night and i can bet my life that i loaded it and i saw d confirmation that it had been credited to my account. I wanted to make a call but later changed my mind and then switched off the phone to sleep.
I woke up d next day and was shocked to high heavens when i was told i had insufficient balance while trying to make a call that morning. I was so angry i had to call the customer service of this telecommunication company that has the colour yellow as their dominant colour.
After what felt like a millenium of angry wait, a customer agent picked and after venting my complaint to him, he confirmed that it is on their record that i loaded a card the previous day at d time i claimed but....this is where i got goose bumps flying around my body. He said i exhausted the card that same day going further to reel out 5 unknown numbers i called with the time i spent on each one.
I sure know i wasnt drunk that day and i live alone and also my phone was switched off that day before i slept or did a ghost entered my room and used my credit?
Please has this happened to anyone out there?
