Am currently an undergraduate student of Psychology and i recently stumbled upon an interesting topic HYPNOTISM. Hypnotism is a technique in which the Hypnotist induces a state of reduced consciousness on people such that they become more willing and co-operative to things they would normally not have done, if they were in their full conscious state. The term is derived after the Greek god of sleep 'HYPNOS' and was used by a German physician Franz Mesmer in the 18th century in treating patients.
Back to my question, having gone through a vast collection of psychological textbook which are mostly written by foreign authors i noticed that researches in which people have been hypnotized are being carried out on white people. Various movies i have come across mostly foreign, in which a Hypnotist just meets a person they don't even know they say one or two words, click their fingers one or two times in which all of this are done in quick succession and then suddenly the person becomes hypnotized and begin to do anything the hypnotist request
Is it possible for such a scenario to happen to a Nigerian man?

Police, PCI uncover two bombs in UniUyo Hostel, arrest one suspect
Two Hand Rocket explosive devices suspected to be bombs were today, Sunday, September 21, 2014, uncovered in University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state by operatives of Peace on Campus Initiative (PCI), a private security outfit fighting against cultism and other anti-social vices in the Nigerian tertiary institutions.
Confirming the incident to THE RADAR newspapers, national coordinator of PCI, Mr. Oliver Cromwell who spoke through his telephones line, said that his men in the University chapter got hint of the suspect whom they trailed to a room in the Uniuyo boys’ hostel.
Mr. Cromwell noted that on seeing the bombs well packaged inside a bag in the Hostel’s Room, his men apprehended the suspect and invited men of the anti-bomb squad of the State Police Command, Ikot AkpanAbia, Uyo, who came in and detonated the two bombs while a thorough search was further conducted in other Hostel rooms.
The security expert told THE RADAR Newspapers that the suspect who was identified to be an indigene of Oron Local Government Area of the
state said to be a Diploma student of the institution has been handed over to the Police for questioning.
RADAR newspapers contacted the State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Etim Dickson on the incident and he confirmed it, saying that the two explosive devices suspected to be bombs were detonated by men of the anti-bomb disposing unit this afternoon.
Dickson added that the two devices are currently being examined in the force headquarters, Uyo. He noted that one student who was seen in the hostel room at the time of the search is undergoing interrogation from at the police headquarters, Uyo.
