I came across programming in 2017 while browsing through my phone on one of those idle days and I fell in love with what I saw but could not start programming then, because I could not afford a laptop.

Bro, we are in sync mode. Something relatively similar with mine. I've loved tech since childhood. I can fix any computer pc or desktop and I didn't learn from anywhere, can diagnose any OS software related issues. I started coding (python) 2016 but it's off and on. No good laptop to practice with, not until 2018 I bought one myself after all the hustle.

I have managed to learn python, javascript, kotlin and some java.

I'm also into mobile app dev with flutter (still learning) tho what I'm passionate to learning is A.I and Cloud computing.I suggest you stick to one programming language. Like the saying Jack of trade, Master of none. Learning all will only put you in a confused state. Jobs are available for any of the tech you pick but make sure you learn it very well before taking jobs. Most programmers we have are quacks. They rush to learning and end up doing shitty jobs for clients.

I'm currently practising android development with kotlin. Trying to work on my first project. A to-do list app.
I may start learning web dev any time soon, as that is where freelancing money is.
I have a crush on machine learning, but I'm yet to ask her out though

Why not learn React native(with JavaScript experience) or flutter so you can build cross platform apps for iOS and Android, instead of learning android development with Kotlin unless you intend to learn Swift for iOS. Learning flutter you only need one codebase to create android, iOS, web and even desktop app. You know technology is ever-changing we got to keep up with the trend to stay relevant.

Most of the guys I grew up with are into internet fraud(yahoo boys).
From what I see, they are happy. They can afford things they want.
They have been on my neck since April to come and join them in their hustle, as I am their Gee and they want me to have money(that's what they do say). They even offered to take care of my feeding, take care of me, that I should just go over and stay with them to learn their craft..... But meehhn, my mind no just carry the thing. I mean,,, I can't stand causing harm or sadness to another person because I want to make money. I don't know how they manage to do that but I wish I could too.
For this reason my guys are all unhappy with me, so I have been living in seclusion but anyway...

I just need to leave this environment fast. It's not an environment I can stay and be focused on my career. ASUU will soon call off strike though

In similar situation. I understand you. Mine is, I'm tech savvy. I can hack, bypass and I know alot about computer stuffs (intermediate programmer). In fact I'm very intelligent not trying to hype myself. My friends do pester me to join the Yahoo thing but I don't have the mind. My conscience won't let me sleep. In fact, my childhood friend whom we used to hustle together is getting married soon. He has two houses and 2 cars already. All through this yahoo.

I just want to leave this environment and go back to complete my studies. In my finals. I know I'm better than this yahoo thing and can't stoop so low to scamming ppl of their hard earned money.

God help us that have good heart.

My story, well I can't just explain. Lots of hardwork and disappointment won't go into full details. I believe it's all God's plan and I will never give up. I'm someone who is academically brilliant. In fact if I was told at a point then that I will be in this current position, I will never believe it..

After I graduated from sec school 2013, 2014 I got admission into a University in Ghana for a four years course.(iT).. things went smoothly as I expected but Towards the start of my 300l second semester, got a call from my dad asking me to come back home that he can't make up for the semester's tuitions fees so I have to defer the semester because of finance. This was the period dollar skyrocketed from N150/$ I think to about N300/$.

So I was asked to collect my transcript, which I did..I then applied for a transfer from my Ghana institution to a federal University here in Nigeria. Everything went smoothly and I had to start from 200L. This time the course is 5 years because it's a technology university. I'm Now in my 500L. Finished my one year internship in an oil and gas company this February 2020, I did very perfectly in the interview I wasn't deployed to the department i applied for(according to the learning adviser of the firm). The HR department of the firm had to keep me with them cuz I have vast knowledge of some many things even as I didn't even study Human resources as a course but did some part of management, finance and accounting in school..

I'm suppose to resume back to school April but couldn't because of the pandemic. I'm currently 24 and still lives with my parents..(so sad) Well.. I used the opportunity to learn two things Forex and Mobile app development..

At first i did Forex for a while. So many hours of reading.. I was making reasonable profit but because of insufficient capital to continue I decided to withdraw n save more for later to when I have reasonable capital. I then opted to learning mobile app development and so far it's been fun for me. though , lots of sleepless nights studying n trying to perfect it. I've progressed a lot. In fact I can take jobs online creating just the mobile UI but I refused to because I might stop learning once I start making money from it. So I put in the hard work everyday. I still make little income from hustling in the street.
Aside the Forex n mobile app dev. I'm also good in anything concerning computers. Whether hardware or software. I'm gifted as most of my friends say. Never learnt from anybody (I hack systems sometimes, educational purposes only) I use tutorials a lot to
learn. Some of my friends do tell me to go into Yahoo that will pay me handsomely but that is never my thing. I just ignore them

After I graduate,
My Plan A: Currently on a first class CGPA and I have the highest in my department. I pray I finish in flying colours. Heard my school do give scholarships to first class graduate and I'm hoping to capitalise on that so as to further my education to that of Masters and Phd and hope God put a smile on my face afterwards

Plan B: is to use my little savings after I graduate as a reasonable capital for my Forex trading and at the same time make Steady income developing mobile apps. I've always don't want to work for anybody. I so much believe in myself n I believe the best investment is investing In yourself..


I know there will be challenges along the line but I pray God sees me through and my dreams of having my own I.T firm comes to past.
I just need someone to remind me every day never to give up

Just Yesternight I was chatting with an ex colleague of mine, she was telling me details of how she was badly rapped and beaten so badly by the rapist. Worst thing was she was a Virgin, even pleaded with the guy but he turned deaf. She said she was hospitalised for two weeks and she never told anyone about it. She went through it all herself. I commended her strength as a woman cuz not all women can remain same after the incident. Even after the incident, she do see the guy but was too scared to say anything, that she's so traumatized about it to the extent it has even ruined her sex life currently. She said the event occured 2014.

I was so pained by this I requested for the guy's number I try running it on Truecaller application and a name surfaced ( first name and a Popular transportation company name beside) no last name.

Is there anyway one can track this number or get details of the person's location. ?? Because this guy I'm very sure he won't relent till he is caught, if he has not even been caught already.

1.. Not sure. Never had dreams that came to pass

2. Yes. My friend claims to have his dream manifest in real life even if they are not accurate but they seem to correlate.

3. Uhm.. i can't really say. I feel I haven't tried enough to call it a failure. Nothing good comes easy

1.. there was no baby before me and I'm not sure if she had any miscarriage during those difficult times. Never asked her tho.

2. I don't know if there was a miscarriage after she had me.. never asked. I'm 7 years older than my immediate sibling and it's of opposite sex. I have 3 siblings. One boy and two girls.

So I was about 4 or 5 years old then. Before my mum gave birth to me she really went through a lot took her about 10 years after marriage before she could give birth to me. I'm the first child. Now I have siblings.

I remembered we both traveled to the village to visit my dad's elder sister. She's so loving n caring. So on the first night we spent there after we arrived, it was hell for me I could remember not being able to sleep because I kept seeing faces of cats all over the place and at the same time hear them making meow aounds. It was so loud. It was obvious I was the only one hearing it. It was terrible I cried all through the night and I could remember trying to tell my mum what I saw but couldn't speak at all.

The next morning she called my dad and told her I couldn't let her sleep all night my dad just told her we should both pack our bags and come back home. We were suppose to spend like a week or 2 there.

Another one, I think I was 12 years old then,I and my cousin's were playing outside, so I had the urge to pee, so I decided to go inside the house to use the bathroom, it was dark cuz NEPA just took light.

As soon as I finished urinating and was stepping out of the bathroom. I saw a big black cat with glowing eyes. Damn, I didn't even think twice I ran out of the bathroom I could hear my dad saying "who is that child running like that inside the house." I just stayed mute. Till today I still find it mysterious.


Another weird one, I was in my 200L then. Schooled in Ghana. So the school hostel is behind the apartment where I stay. About 30 mins walk to the hostel from my apartment. Usually, after lectures in school I normally join the hostel bus together with my friends to go to their hostel and I will stay with them till like 12am or 2am before leaving for my apartment

So, there was a day I left so late, was walking back home when I say a man naked taking his bath n saying some words as he bath. As soon as I saw that I just took a U-turn and went back to my friend's hostel to pass the night.

Another one, weird but funny. Was like 10yrs old then..So, there is this contractor that works at a site opposite my house then. He was friends with my parents cuz my dad is an engineer and the keys to the building is always with us so whenever a worker comes we give them the key to the their thing.

there was a day the contractor wasn't feeling too well. He didn't come to the site. So that day, my mum's friend came to visit us and said she came around to see one of her sick friend and asked me to escort her to the place.

When we got there, she told me to wait outside for her while she goes inside to see the man. While waiting outside, I decided to peep through the sides of the gate to see who the man was. Lo, and behold it was the contractor. I saw them kissing each other. I was shocked. She's a married woman I just couldn't understand if I was dreaming. I decided to keep quiet..
What's my business. I had a feeling to tell my mum but it was none of my business..so I kept it to myself.
It was really weird.

I used direct entry to get an admission into the Federal University. I was given a slip when I was undergoing my registrations with the school. There was a Jamb number on the Slip given to me but I've never taken jamb before. This is my final year and I'm graduating soon. So I want to know if this Jamb Regularization applies also since I don't have a Jamb result. Do I follow the same procedures cuz I have no jamb Exam Year to fill in the form.

Yes they will.. If at all confirmed dead. Have you ever heard a person ( muslim) buried because ppl had doubt if the person is really dead or not. Let's use or brain sometimes. If at all you used it as a joke, it's quite understandable but writing those words at the end of your sentence doesn't seem so.
