Most times you see in Hollywood and Nollywood movies where it's ok for the actress to slap the actor over some arguments but if it is the other way around the actor will be termed a villain or woman beater. As much as I would like to side with the writer, I still think a lot has to do with the educational system itself. Imagine a Prof. still lecturing with a note of 2010 no addition, no subtraction. Same content recycled for every sets or the lecturers not updating their knowledge on latest trends and technology. I'm an I.T graduate. I could remember during my seminar defense, I was to do my presentation on Nano technology while my friend was to do on Blockchain. On that day, his supervisor told him to go and rest that he has no idea or knowledge about his topic and gave him a C, mine told me to change my topic and come back for presentation. I chose Cross platform development (worst mistake) during my presentation an argument ensued about a particular concept, out of the heat of the argument, I told him to use google (Omo worst mistake ever). He started giving several histories of himself (you know how Nigerian lecturers brag), and so much talk. I apologized immediately and even went to his office to see him to make sure we are cool (don't want any extra year). Last last, he gave me a B. He said I'm proving too smart. I just laughed it off. I did sleepless night to complete that seminar paper but what do I know. You can't question a Nigerian lecturer. 2 Likes |

QueenMarvella:You have to go back to the jamb office. This exact thing happened to me. I never knew for like 4 months. It is mostly caused by network issues and yes I was given an indemnity form to submit too then thinking it was successful. Jamb admitted the error was from them. Your data has to be recaptured and another form given to you which you will take back to your school. 1 Like

I've had my regularization stuck in waiting for approval. It's remaining just Jamb HQ to approve and has been like that for 3 months. Tired of messaging the online support as they keep telling me to be patient. If at all there is any issue I should be informed or better still they disapprove it and give a reason. Instead nothing. My patience is tired already. It's not worth all these stress. Please, what might be the cause of this.? |

Firstly- System booting time can get slower when its abruptly shut down due to power outage (bad battery) or pressing on the power button till it shuts down. The best way to shut a PC down is to do it using the windows interface. So, I believe yours is caused by pressiing on the power button or removing the battery because of it freezes. Secondly- Booting time can be altered by number of startup programs when you power on. This, therefore can be disabled. Through the taskbar manager. (Just select the program you don't want to start when the PC is booting). Depending on the windows version.. you can also use the run program then type " config.msc " select startup tab and disable any program you want. Thirdly- PC freezes due to the size of RAM. Having at least 4gb is okay to run most program smoothly. Also good for multitasking. If yours is less that 4gb, upgrade Does the keyboard work before it boots to windows ? : you can test this by using any of the function key F9 or F2 or F12 ( different PC brands have different ways) to boot into the bios setup. If you are a le to boot to bios setup, Your keyboard is fine, else bad keyboard. The only solution to solve all the problems you mentioned, if what I recommended doesn't work is to do a clean format. Do a backup of your important files first before that. 1 Like |

There has been recent phone snatching and gunpoint robbery in my area to the extent an innocent woman was stabbed on her shoulder. My friends were robbed in font of their house. This robbery usually happens late in the evening by 8pm and early in the morning 6am and they come with power bike. Short story long, one of the thieves was caught, he confessed to the crime and even mentioned the names of his gang members about 3 of them, and the stolen items were recovered by the police. I escorted my friend to the police station to collect his phone but we couldn't. Why? Because we were told each victim will have to bring N50,000 before he/she can collect his/her belongings. How much be this phone sef. My friend that has two phones will have to pay 100k. Funny thing again was, residents of the street has to contribute a total of 150k inorder for them to be able to give COVID-19 shots to the thieves before remanding them to the cell if not they would release them. I couldn't hold my laughter. Me gan never even collect vaccine. We later got to know that in the statement the thieves wrote, the police didn't include that the thieves were caught with any item. I.e the police station will gain possession of the items if the owners of the phones don't pay the 50k. They also didn't let us take picture of them. Should Incase they get released so they can be identified. All these make me wonder. Who the real thieves are? Next time do you think if people in my street catches any thief, won't jungle justice be done Considering this extortions by the police and fact that someone was almost killed. God epp us! 1 Like |

I did my regularization April this year. I was given an indemnity form which I took to the school. Nothing yet on my dashboard. Whenever I check payment I kept seeing not used. Ps. I did inter university transfer from a foreign uni to a federal uni and I also don't have a jamb no. I was told till jamb receives the indemnity before any further action can be taken. I'm more concerned about the "not used" it is showing. Is that a problem?? I'm yet to submit my NYSC mobilization form as requested by Student Affairs Department as one of the requirements is to attach a jamb admission letter which I don't have and the deadline is fast approaching
