Correcto:Plain truth ... God bless you! |
The theory is senseless. Many Nigerian lecturers who relocatea abroad are some of the best. I personally know one who could only secure an assistant lecturer role in a polytechnic but on relocation is a full fledge prof in a university these politicians send their children. I believe it is first the system. The system makes room for decay and lack of innovation and training. So a lecturer will be reading one handout he prepared in 2000 in 2019. Secondly, poor funding. Our universities are advanced high schools. Thirdly, favoritism and ethnic bigotry. |
sylve11:How about North side Puddah and "ba shiga" no go let them 'liberate themselves from economic slavery. Some sell nunu sha, after age has retired them from puddah ![]() |
opemilopojulo:Sorry to burst your bubble ... and help manage your expectations. As it is, I for one would have wished that Osinbajo gets the presidency in 2023. But not with what happened in 2015. APC would not want to make same mistake PDP made with Jonathan. Because, he would be muzzled out of power come 2027, by upholding the rule of law. Ruling Nigeria is not like other climes, hulks will stampede an Osinbajo out of power like they did to Jonathan. Secondly, as a Christian, the North will not like him there. Yes, I believe in God ... please note that these decisions, especially after the Tribunal ruling are geared towards clipping Osinbajo wings towards 2023. Those of you defending and rooting for Osinbajo should first checkmate Tinubu. The relegation of Osinbajo has one target ... REMOVING IMPEDIMENTS ON THE PATH OF TINUBU FOR 2023. |
MelesZenawi:Bia, young man, everything is not about Biafra. I am from Niger-Delta and probably more Biafran than you. I am not sure your father was even in the war front not to talk of you small boy. Whether you like it or not, as of today we are all Nigerians including Kanu your director. You cannot shy away from the fact that Nigeria economy rules your life and the data you are using is courtesy of Nigeria. |
kay5you:Do you mind them? Karma is retweeeting their fake news and they are complaining. You forgot all you said about Jonathan in the last 5 years. |
. |
N2000 x 100 = N200,000. Why and how is this news? He should refund tuition fees and pay bursarries ... then we can clap. By the way, where did he get the running costs from if not appropriated by the last government? These people are not good at lieing sef. Anyway, they understand their gullible and illiterate audience like one above |
As at this morning crude price has surged by $8.05 to about $62. This is just the beginning as prices may hit the $100 marks in coming weeks. My government should endeavor not to chop the windfall as it may not come in a loooong while thereafter. This is the time to rebuld the excess crude account and recover FULLY all borrowings by state governments. Let Nigeria try and do things right by doing the RIGHT THINGS. A word is enough for the wise ooo! Not that next year we start blaming ourselves that we did not save. Buhari please save now ooo! |
Bello never won any elections. He lost primaries and was rewarded with the elections won by Audu. He cannot be elected now because he is not only a misfit, he is also a failure. If he likes let him borrow another 50b to pay salary advsnce to Kogi workers, he is not returning. Buhari cannot save him because even Buhari is on a survival mode now. The end of their tunures are at hand. If you like argue with your prophets |
Star boy and his EMT were disastrous to say the least. Bunch of masturbators. |
Blackchampion:Eleyi gidi gan ooo ![]() Buhari don suffer. To be Nigeria’s president ...
|
Hmmm! Which way Nigeria and judicial cowards? |
OAUTemitayo:Go and read. FG is a continuum. The agreement was reached in the last weeks of Jonathan administration. He specifically stated that he was not signing any payment in his last weeks so as not to be misinterpreted. He passed the file to Buhari as part of his handing over reporr. Read sir! |
The Buhari government is busy running from pillar to post seeking who to blame for her woes. This matter was already settled by Jonathan. Simply pay $850m over 4 years, they refused snd headed to coirt. Now they lose and have been looking for who to blame. Ask yourself what would have been the narrative if they won. This loss rests squarely with BUHARI, OSINBAJO, MALAMI and FEC. Alfa Belgore provided consultancy for P&ID. Yes, if he did not, someone else would have. Why did FG not get our eminent jurists advice on this matter before heading to court? Why did they not tske the offer of $850m? Why are they looking for who to blame except themselves? I thought this same Premium Times some weeks back told us that FG have found a silver bullet to shoot down P&ID case? |
Can you hear these people? No investigation as to the killers of two students oooo! This country sef, lives are nothing to them, yet they were busy shouting xenophobia, whereas back home, people are slaughtered anyhow. |
Single term of 6 years coming from 2023 - 2029, that is subtly 10 years. With a rubber stamp NASS , this is achievable. |
technuel:Or the big mouthed coward that had "very important engagement" when it mattered most. ![]() |
helinues:ok, lets wait and see. Nobi fight! |
helinues:OK. Bu you and I know that the Supreme Court is still there. Even if PEPT had declared Atiku winner, I will not celebrate, because like in the case of Adeleke, SC has the final say. |
I personally feel that the justices of the PEPT were cowed into whatever decisions they reached on PDP/Atiku petition. As a Nigerian, knowing our systems (judiciary and political), I never ever expected anything better than the judgement of yesterday. If we must tell ourselves the truth, the country has slide into dictatorial rule. NASS is now a rubber stamp and the judiciary can best be described as comatose. Anyone that challenges the president is looking for trouble as it were. You will either be hounded by EFCC or DSS will pick you up and detain you for God knows how long. Put simply, "truth and justice" are dying, if not dead! The judiciary became comatose immediately Justice Onnoghen was unceremoniously removed and the NJC was gagged. I can imagine the discussions respected PEPT Justices may have been having in their homes with their children and perhaps in their bedrooms with their wives prior to yesterday. I imagine their wives advising them thus, "my dear, please be careful ooo, I do not want to become a widow" or statements like, "my dear, remember what happened to Onnoghen ... please ooo". There is a local adage that says, "when you behold the destructive activities of the elephant on the roadside, you can imagine what would have happened deep in the forest". Put simply, any judicial officer who witnessed the hounding and sacking of the former CJN would definitely be cowered into towing a safe line in the just delivered judgement. Pitiful as it may sound, these are trying times in our democratic journey. NASS is a rubber stamp while the judiciary is in a coma. So, the executive impunity holds sway. Strange enough, we have journeyed through this same path in recent past in Nigeria. Some of us will recall the so called "five leprous fingers", when all our political elites, the electoral commission, the judiciary and the NASS were jumping upon one another to declare support for "who the cap fits". Yes, we are back there. Noone talks about INEC again. Their independence have sine been stripped, so let us leave INEC. Interestingly, however, outside our shores, our professionals, be they physicians, finance experts, engineers and even judicial officers are regarded as smart, intelligent and bold. Back home, they are intimidated into puppetry by illiterates who happens to hold political powers. Sp you do not need to dig deep to understand why a justice or judicial officer can be intimidated into hero-worshiping an agbero. Therefore, it is not out of place that we see what is going on in Nigeria today. A country blessed with abundance human and material resources, yet in LETHARGY. A country where mediocrity rules over excellence, where the rule of law is lampooned on the alter of impunity. Our national psych is pooh-poohed on just because our checks and the checkers are either fast asleep or hounded into gutlessness or to say the least a state of pusillanimity. What a shame!!! Hence comes my belief that we can still rescue our nation and our democracy from the pit it has fallen into before the latter becomes a grave and ultimately an abyss. The rescue effort still falls squarely on our judiciary. This time, our esteemed justices of the Supreme Court. While, I for one would sympathize with the justices of the PEPT, noone will forgive the justices of the Supreme court for not righting the wrongs. Why would I say this. The PEPT justices were definitely under severe despair as to ruling against the president. One because, their judgement can be appealed by the president. The intervening period between their judgement and final position by the Supreme court was enough for the president to deal with anyone who rules against him. Secondly, they have seen how many of their colleagues were dealt with or are still being dealt with for daring to challenge APC. I quite understand that the current CJN is a product of President Buhari and APC interference with a separate arm of government, hence his loyalty cannot be in doubt. However the judgement at the Supreme court is not a one-man show. While not overtly optimistic, I believe that the justices of the Supreme Court have more independence to be objective and fair to the case of PDP and Atiku than the PEPT. Fact is whoever they declare as winner takes it. If they believe Atiku has a case and Buhari is removed, Mr Buhari goes home and can NEVER intimidate any of them as power will change hand immediately. Hence, I advice those celebrating and congratulating Buhari to ... PLEASE WAIT ... IT IS NOT YET UHURU!! |
Formularcr7:Meaning blocking of roads by muslims on Fridays is foolishness? Just asking so that you can help our understanding. |
Timi Alaibe is a political prostitute ... I predict that the man will change to APC or another party soon. This is the more reason PDP did not give him their ticket. Just like Atiku, he jumps from party to party. This statement is just an indication of his next move. A "rolling stone that gathers no moss" ![]() |
I think Lagos and other states should begin to put STOP signs and enforce violation. Not every junction needs traffic lights
|
This Tribunal is just like kindergarten court. The real deal is the Supreme Court, that to me is the relevant court. This PEPT judges will always be scared of after effect of their submission and bound to be bias. They cannot rule against Buhari. The Supreme Court justices can damn the consequences as they can remove Buhari and render him powerless. |
Is that Amaechi's Alma matter? God bless Wike for rescuing Amaechi homeland from ridicule. |
I thought Lagos was owing over a trillion. How did ut reduce to half a trillion. Anyway; Sanwo Olu need to add N250b before 2023. |
I wholeheartedly support these pensioners. Other pensioners should adopt this same approach. |
Another "sorrow, tears and blood" in the making ... I wonder why we do not let sleeping dogs lie This government like spilling innocent blood. An IGP that ought to protect lives is telling people that death await them. What is wrong with allowing them hold their procession peacefully and we move on? Must everything be by force? Every Friday afternoon, we non-muslims are compelled to avoid several road intersections blocked by muslims for their prayers. Noone has been killed for observing their religious obligations. In same vein muslims have had to endure hold ups on Lagos Ibadan expressway on First Fridays of every month. Why can't we just let sleeping dogs lie for goodness and peace sake in Nigeria? In Canada, I have seen the Sikhs hold their procession with police directing and controlling traffic. Why are different please? |
ObserversTimes:I hope CJN TECHNICALITIES does not forget what he said about Osun Petition |
Hallucination.... |
emeijeh:I tell you.
