Did you live in Nigeria because 100k dollars you have in USA will not qualify you as a rich man but If you have 50milion in Nigeria you are doing well than most of Nigerians and that can’t be said of USA
Springboot: I don't know if it's poverty or education or just ignorance but most of you on nairaland dish out dumb information without facts, just for the sake of this silly argument without any intention of bragging, yes I have had more than that in my account or the equivalent in usd, and yes and I know about money and I have a 9-5, I am not a business man in anyway, I also have friends and colleagues I'm certain have such.
Are you a wahala person if yes ,report the neighbor to the police and have them arrest them And the juju man until they are able to prove their senseless allegation
But If you are not pray and work hard for blessings because the problem you are having is a gave me I face you problem
Adonispco: Am sorry for my writing pattern; I am in a serious dilemma since January. I live in a face me I slap you house with just four co-tenants and the landlord. There is this neighbour of mine that parked in on December 2021, a married man with three kids; two daughters and a son,the eldest daughter should be around 14 years old while the son and the last daughter should be about 4 & 2 years respectively. We where living in peace although one has to make tolerance a friend for there to be peace. These my neighbour's eldest daughter to be honest is morally bankrupted, she steals and lies without remorse. My neighbour's wife always try to cover us her daughter bad behaviours, during christmas time 2022 I noticed a sudden suspicious behaviours from my neighbours wife towards me in particular; she does as if am a diabolic person, as a cool headed guy I focused on my life until on January 21 2023 when I heard the worst words towards my dignity and reputation as a common person; Fellow nairalanders guess what ? My neighbours wife accused me of poisoning his two little kids. As a cool guy and from what i learnt never to take action when angry, I maintained like its nothing but told our landlord. My neighbour who is a driver usually travels and can stay there for weeks, so I have to wait for the man of the house to return and hear from him before taking action, so on 29 January he returned, a general yard meeting processed; he was asked to explain more on the accusation from his wife towards me and this was what he said; " Someone in our yard premises poisoned his children using mirinda and biscuit" that we all are lucky nothing happened to his kids otherwise he will call the police to arrest everybody in our yard. When asked how he found out that it was someone from our yard and what sickness his children suffered; he said that his children were vomiting blood in the middle of the night, and he went to a spiritual doctor who told him that it was someone from the yard he lives in. Please Nairalanders what will i do cause i have tried to let go of this heavy accusation but it havent been easy and to make matters worse the once loved innocent easy going guy have become a depressed soul due to the crack on my previous solid reputation. Please anyone with a good pragmatic solution should help a brother.
Bro I will advice you to run for your mental health I am In a similar situation though in my own case we are married with kids but the marriage is killing me
Kreddy: Hmm, this was the same question I asked myself two weeks ago, when 600+ was sitting in my bank. I invested in Twi things 1. I bought two plot of land each 200k 2 I rented a shop at a roadside and hire a salesgirl to help me sell engine oils 3 I wouldn't have started my 3rd business but a friend of mine,I seeked his opinion started the business in the same spot I was planning to establish mine. 4 I'm planning of buying palm oil too, but I'm afraid the price might go down since the borders have been opened importation of grandnuut oil will lower the Palm oil prices.
Your budget is too low for your taste the average price of a room self contain in a poor neighborhood in Lagos is 250k excluding agency fee and agreement
GreaterFuture: Ok. Same Ajegunle that guy said above
But pls think hard, where can one see that's an okay area Is there hope in Yaba or Lower areas of Ikeja. I need that serenity, vibes and balance of places like Ikeja and yaba
At first i chopped money like there was no tommorrow, it a low budget hotel with sales of about 5k per night. Was banking in about 30k per day. It was like blood money for someone who has never made that much money from anything for like the first 6 months.
Mistake 1 About late last year, Nigeria happened and Buhari proved himself to why he was Buhari, inflation and purchasing power, i noticed people who still wanted to bring babes didnt have enough money left like that cos of food inflation etc. Most were now going for short time service which was 1500 naira for an hour. And as a man once you are done with what you want to do, your eye go clear till next time konjiii hooks you and you are back again.
So in essence i was cashing in more 1500 naira bookings instead of the 5,000 naira bookings resulting in less income per night
Mistake 2 When i was making crazy money per day, i too was forming big boy dashing people around money and acting like i had money, what people came to the hotel to do, me too i carried people to other expensive hotels to do.
Also i was repairing almost everything in the hotel customers will spoil, anything be painting the same wall over and over again
Meanwhile price of emulsion went from 4k to 12k minimum, i still would be doing renovations non stop
I even wanted to buy diesel generator at one point in time and give customers AC, Rooms that i know they wont still sleep in for less than 5k a night. Thank God i couldnt afford the diesel generator
Mistake 3- Ramadan period Chai this period for like 2 months was hard ooo, its like everyone was holy and no one wanted to spoil thier fast, but once Ramadan ended, things went back to normal.
Conclusion Save your money and put your money where your mouth is.
Now im still back but more clever now, I have stopped pointless renovations. And i have started saving my money,
Even now i have started lying to my staff that there is no money for renovations, lol the same people that remit 30k per day room bookings for me every day haha
Also im trying to do a palmwine lounge thing. I have noticed one thing its when people are drunk or tipsy thats when they start wanting to do the obvious.
Lead city university students too that always came to camp at the hotel and be doing party around the night looool
Oga they are one of the most useless bank instead they should go and learn from other banks how digital bank work
propsad2: I support Alat by WEMA with my full chest. Other Big Banks should go to Wema and learn how Digital Banking works. From the time I opened my Account till now, I have never stepped into their Banking hall but I am enjoying all the Banking services without hitches.
You guys should just stop this currency conversion because the cost of living in Uk is higher than Nigeria,to be able to save and send some pounds to Nigeria you would have to comprise on some quality living, to me it is similar to all those northerners that travel to lagos ,save up and send some cash back home
DesChyko: That bill made sense only to people who prioritise waste of time as a lifestyle. It costs a lot to emigrate to a country which offers better value for labour but people are doing it anyways, and in large numbers too. Hell! Nigerian medical professionals are in high demand outside the shores of our country. And instead of the government to seek ways to make here like there, they're trying their usual 'shut down whatever you can't control tactics'.
The reasons teachers don't have much advantage like doctors is the required teaching qualifications. Is the government aware though that UK for example has made it easier for teachers in Nigeria to apply for QTS which once approved, they can just emigrate and get a teaching job without having to take an additional course?
The minimum salary for the lowest level of teaching (NQT) in the UK is about £28,000 per annum; an equivalent of #25m in Nigeria.
Please I need help getting a goal based loan from Alat by Wema Bank
I move my funds from the main account to the investment section of thier app for better interest rate on my savings, where it was stipulated in the terms and condition of service that I can liquidate my investment at will and I can also get 80 percent goal based loan from my investment
After moving the fund there I have been trying to access the loan or liquidate my investment in accordance with the terms and conditions but I keep on getting the error message you have an existing loan been process which is clearly a technical error from their app
I sent them a mail on the 8th complaining about this which they acknowledge and I was told I will get a feedback in 48 hours ever since then the didn't reply to my email and whenever I call them I was always told I would get a postive response before the end of the day and this is over 12 days
I wouldn't have call them out here ordinarily but I need this sorted as soon as possible and I haven't experience such horrible service from any Nigeria bank before
