I've been married for a while now and I have a daughter.

My wife and I has always had issues, anytime issues arise her first reaction is to leave the marriage.

She has said this several time and u cautioned her about the statement because I don't like it ( she's making it seem she's doing me a favor by marrying me)

So last week we got into an issue because of my younger sister who I gave money to for her store rent, my wife found out about it and was very angry, she said that I gave my sister money without informing her and that she needed Money I refused to give her ( I gave her 150k Dat same day to change her Clothes).
She also accused me of cheating which was not true, she said she very young and fresh and she can go outside anytime.

She had once told me that she had cheated on her boyfriend with another guy once when she was in school because the boyfriend was misbehaving.

So I thought about everything and the fact that she continuously accuses me of being a bad husband, and abusive husband ( I've never hit her before) and that she was tired of the marriage.

So I'm thinking of calling her father and collecting the bride price I paid for her because I'm tired of the whole thing

I'm looking to further my education and I've been thinking about traveling abroad to study an undergraduate course.
But recently I came across nexford online university and I've been thinking about it as a cheaper alternative to traveling abroad.

I got married in 2022 when I was 25 because I always wanted to settle down and start a family. My wife and I didn’t know each other for long before tying the knot—just about four months—but everything seemed to be going well.

Before I met her, I was the type of guy who stayed home a lot since I mostly worked from home, and that worked for me. But last year, I decided to open a business for my wife, spending over 2 million Naira on it. Things changed when she got pregnant, and we had to close the business for almost a year, which I understood because of the pregnancy.

Now, our baby is 6 months old, and she still hasn’t gone back to the business. When I asked her about it, she gave me excuses like the shop being too far (even though I give her the 1500 Naira for transport). She even blamed me for getting her pregnant, saying she would’ve started the business by now if it wasn’t for that.

With the store rent expiring in 2 months, and 400k due, I told her I wouldn’t pay for it again. She called me ungrateful, reminding me that she gave birth to our child.

Now, she’s mostly at home, trying to control everything in our marriage—when I go out, when I come home—and I feel like, despite all I do for our family, I’m not appreciated. I spend close to 100k every week just to keep the house running, making sure she’s comfortable, but she still acts like she’s doing me a favor by staying, and she acts like she can leave at any time.

Honestly, I’m starting to regret getting married because I don’t see any benefit for me as a man because despite all you do, it seems pointless

i have discovered that women who like to comtrol their husband will likely have a peaceful home because the man usually does everything she says and he's a lovely husband, but when the man is a man that stamps his authority in the house and doesnt give in to the whims of his wife, there is no peace in the home and the man is labeled a bad man and irresponsible.

Note to all men married and unmarried, please make sure you try your best to make money and never let any woman tell you what to do if you want to live long. Some people will say that to have a happy marriage, you should listen to your wife. but most of those men usually die before their time

The hospital she uses for antenatal would've provided a list of must have for delivery, then other basics that must be available before delivery, you know better the kind of woman you have, you should have asked for a budget while you discuss what must be bought with the 400k. You just dropped money without having an idea of what is expected, you goofed, she's just being a woman, you didn't play your part completely

They did , she didn’t even wait for the list before she started buying . After buying unnecessary things she brought it and said this is the list of things the hospital gave her to buy

They didn't prioritise their list and just were buying as they see. Ended up exhausting the cash without getting the necessary things. It's a common mistake with new moms.
Make a list of things not purchased and go to the market yourself to get them. It can be exhausting going from one shop to another trying to get a good bargain, be ready to dedicate a full day for it.

Thats the reason her mom went with her, she's expecting to know the basic things a child needs, i'm sure shes even the one that told her to buy some of those things

We are currently expecting our first child , she should give birth within a this month.

She has requested money for baby things and I have given her over 400k but she hasn’t both the basic things she needs. She usually go with her mom to the market to get the things but they haven’t even both the things the baby will need in the hospital.

I've thought about this and it's a very good reason. I won't lie, when it comes to my pregnant wife and the baby, my mother inlaw will go through hell for them. When the baby is born she will be the one to do the caring. I think I'll sacrifice 100k to buy the rice and other things for both my mom and my mother in law. But I tell me wife I bought it on credit ( the seller is close to us)
