well, I said so becos when I was registering ,I used a common name but the system suggested that their is already an individual with the username. So, I guess that's what prompt me to say that.

surething, so far ure the owner and u enter the correct mi password , ure good to go. That's why its adviseable whenever u get a new xiaomi phone , try as much as possible to create an mi account to help u in cases like this. Thats one of benefits of having a xiaomi

I eventually got 4G LTE up and running on my Note 4. It will come up whenever you have 4G network. So what I did was change my APN settings. By removing the proxy, username and password and all that leaving just the APN itself which is etisalat. I then contacted the CC and asked to have 4G activated on the line. Right now, am blazing on 4G.

P.S all etisalat SIM cards are 4G enabled but for this issue with note 4, it's best they assist you

The only way you will get to use ntel sim on your Xiaomi device is if you switch to LineageOS or other AOSP ROM

it will NEVER work on MIUI, if you like peg it with super glue.

Mi mix bands according to GSM Arena: LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 38(2600), 39(1900), 40(2300), 41(2500)

The LT bands above are Xiaomi mi mix bands but there is know bands 20 which is mtn bands, does that mean it won work with MTN 4g?

By the way, if you live in Nigeria, the note 4 global version is what you should buy, not note 4x. The note 4x was meant mainly for China, hence why it supports quite a number of TDD LTE bands, because that's what Chinese networks use. The only TDD LTE band you need in Nigeria is band 40, which Spectranet and Swift use, and global version supports it anyway.

The note 4 global version, on the other hand, supports more useful FDD LTE bands, like band 20. Smile uses band 20, and as of 3 weeks ago, mtn has started issuing Visafone/mtn branded SIMs which support band 20(800mhz). Where you'd normally get 1 to 2 bars on mtn band 7, you'd get 5 bars on band 20. Data and tariff plans are now fully unified. Also, mtn doesn't plan on deploying band 7 nationwide. Some places where Visafone already had presence will get only band 20. This is already happening in Jos.

Major difference should be the LTE BANDS, Note 4x supports most of our bands unlike the note 4.
