The OP is asking why Northerners and Yoruba's have refused to buy properties in places like Calabar, Warri and Port Harcourt, are these places also in Igbo land. There is nothing like unity in Nigeria, one Nigeria is simply because of oil.

The simple reason why our budget is low is because Nigeria does not produce anything. We are so empty that we cannot fabricate any complex machine.

In fact we are big for nothing.

What is wrong with us, is it only the Ijaws that are brave.

I would have said our pride or arrogance but when I thought of South Africans who wouldn't see another language as superior to theirs and won't settle for one language to the extent of having up to 11 official languages then I believe it is our corrupt mentality.

But we have more ethnic groups than China and India, even china has a lot of disunity issues, so don't mention China. Places like TIbet, Taiwan and Indian administered Kashmir etc have the same problems we have here.

Through out history, empires and countries with diverse ethnic groups have collapsed like pack of cards.

In the past, there use to be the Roman Empire, the Orthman empire, the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia etc. United States of America is a country of immigrants, that is why the country is still intact. Above all, they have agreed to be together.

The question we Nigerians should ask ourselves is, have we agreed to live in peace together. The answer is no. Nigerians are only pretending to be one, that is why nothing is working in the country and that is why it cannot fight common corruption.

All lovers of freedom and humanity should come out and speak out for peaceful separation, before Nigeria collapses under its own wait.

Nice write-up, but I can categorically state that Ikwerre is a distinct entity from IGBO. Yes, we have similarities but our differences have set us apart. The present Nigerian govt seems to be enjoying the marginalization of the South east zone of the country. Not done with giving the zone less than 5% of all appointments at the federal level of govt, it has also excluded the South east pupils from benefiting from the current free meals for pupils in primary schools.

One wonders why a govt should engage in such discriminatory practice. It is also on record that the South east was also excluded from benefiting from the 5,000 naira been paid to the poorest nigerians, are they trying to tell us that there are no poor people in the south east. What is really happening?

Ghana was into recession in the late 70s and 80s and recovered then progressed and never went back into the mess. Nigeria went into recession in the mid 80s and recovered in the 2000 period and now is back into it because of lack of Nationhood and planning as well as hatred for some ethnic nationalities within....r

As big as *the Onitsha International Market, no other tribe is allowed* from Yoruba land or the North to have even a corner shop, yet they are in all Markets across the North and South West without any hinderance.

Do you know that for the past 50 years, igbos are not allowed to be minister of works or to head Nigerian customs, ports authority and many other juicy positions in one Nigeria.

Can a south eastern head the ports authority?
