let me ask how did this Cubana issue start a tribal war in Nigeria
I see people everywhere online counting Cubanas money or comparing Cubana to another rich person, this is poverty mentality and una no day shame, live your life in a comfortable way and it is OK to drive a Toyota, una day count people money way no even care if una day alive. Lol
We know all tribes in Nigeria love show biz but Igbos take it to another level and If you don't know what Cubana did was show biz then you must be sleeping on a skateboard one thing that I am against is doing your show biz on dusty and potholes filled roads and I am also against the way we worship money as Igbos.
Igbos can take their show biz to the level that would bring hate to them from other tribes in Nigeria that already hate us, lol. but this is actually why we are asking for Biafra anyways, Igbos are freedom lovers so we can do whatever we want in our country and can sort ourselves out.
Don't hate the Igbo man God made us this way and blessed us but the Internet is making everything go viral remember there is massive poverty in the land courtesy of the APC government and their dullard in chief the 1983 failure called Buhari. people now see Internet wealth as their way to make it in life, WAKE UP...it is show biz
rosinkkit: 90% of igbo millionaires and billionaires are EXTREMELY selfish. THEIR OWN FAMILIES SUFFER, apart from the wife and kids.
They rarely do anything for their own communities apart from maybe distribute rice and provisions to the villagers at christmas.
You will see an Igbo man worth several millions of dollars. Some of his brothers/cousins etc will still be hustling on the streets, some even hawking.
You never see that with northerners. Once one of them is rich, and you see the brothers, you won't even know the one that is the big shot, because they're all solid.
When they travel to Dubai, you'll see up to 20 of them at the airport, from Alhaji to his brothers, sisters, mum, dad, cousins, drivers, hairdressers, house helps etc.
An Igbo man, if he travels with anyone, na him wife and maybe his kids. Finish.
More often than not, he just sneaks out alone.
I think the refusal of wealthy Igbos to share their wealth is a reason for the continued marginalisation of Igbos in Nigeria. Political influence requires that you have a large base of well-to-do elite. When you restrict that elite to a tiny club of monied men, your base is weakened, and easy to manipulate. It is very easy for others to take advantage of your group.
Juliusmalema: I don't care or share in igbo sentiments or seen hiding under igbo sentiments to spew trash
Nigeria has 36 states and I concentrate on the one that matters to me coz we are running a federal system and not some sort of monarchy...
obi burial happened in anambra state and not in enugu and here u are killing yourself over another states pattern of burial ceremony with useless sermons
una no dey shame....ifele adia eme unu.
Igbo is igbo, I won't buy that your bs, igbos are igbos even the ones in benue, you can't be more igbo than any igbo, receive sense
Smartness in Nnamdi Kanu's Stupidity. No wonder most of you keep hiding your states and be using igbo bla bla as backbone to write nonsense. Go and do all these things in yours state...case closed.
I don't understand what this mumu is saying I am from Enugu state, speak English please or pidgin, I don't understand gibberish
omoharry: The op said the truth . It’s just that you guys are too arrogant to accept the truth when you are being told one. You guys worship money a lot . You have one of the worse roads but you all do not seem to care . You region is ravage with deep erosion and muddy road that are not motor-able but you guys don’t care . You just take delight in throwing money around just inform ur sick society (that is money driven ) that you have arrived or to show ur other rich friends that you are richer than them . Everything is all about the show and after that you travel back to Lagos or Abuja where u have built ur Mansions and leave ur erosion stricken state just the way you met it .
You have political friends but you only use them to show off and show ur society that u have connection .Then of what use are these politicians , if they cannot be use to effect change in ur community or society ?
How many of your suppose rich men have foundations that is created to sponsore young and intelligent Igbos sons and daughter through scholarship ?
How many good healthcare centers can you you guys boast of in Anambra? It’s not ur fault that you reason this way . You talk like this becos u are a product of this very sick society that the op is talking about .
You don’t even know that what the op is saying is what all of us should be reasoning about after what Obi Cubana did .
Ezego came and went but he left no legacy .The same thing applies to all the wealthy Igbos sons .What will be their legacy when they die ? Nothing .
People will only talk about how grand their burials were and how money was sprayed in the air for all to pick and food & drink available for all to drink but after that ,life goes on and the person becomes one of the dead.
Thank the op for talking sense im addressing this ill in our society as it appears we have all gone mad in Nigeria .
Thank you for standing on the truth and I wonder why the matter have been turned into a tribal war for me I am talking to my people as an igbo man that really understand the pressure
I wrote about it here https://www.biafranboys.org/why-we-need-visionaries-in-southeast about having digital leaders, people with vision for Igbo land like the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Of Dubai, we need to build our tourism industry and we can't have that by all this nonsense that we are seeing, stop building stupid flyovers, build better things that can attract tourists from all over the world.
You see how the cubana matter is trending if we had those basic amenities the matter won't be trending like this, give us BRT, give us trains and roads and good hospitals.
So I am proposing this to all candidates in Igbo land They must go to China or the USA, all of them, they must go and see how to build a country from Those places and once they win they can replicate it here in Igbo land.
You people need to go abroad and learn how to build a country and it is very important, we won't take this nonsense anymore
In fact, we would give them a certificate for anyone that is done with that overseas learning course before we allow them to lead us, enough of this nonsense we have in Igbo land we need real infrastructure and development.
Naigleria: How is the show of money affecting the youth?
You poverty stricken individuals are the ones affecting the youth by saying that obi and his group got money through illegitimate means which would influence them
The way he got it is none of my business, I don't poke my nose into people's lives unless you are a politician then you are no longer a private citizen, keep pretending like you don't understand what I mean when I say its affecting our youths and I have said it everything is show biz just that igbos take it to another level that attracts envy from other tribes that already hate us , if we have own country Biafra it won't even matter to me
I lived at lasu axis some years back. Anytime I wanted to go to Alaba to get something, I would look for an Hausa man to buy from because I was sure that my fellow igbo man would cheat/defraud me or sell fake products to me. Asides phones, it is very difficult to get original products at alaba. They cheat you and call it business. When abokis cheat and marginalize us in politics, we cry foul.
Another point is this, Ndigbo will go through stress and travel home for Christmas, mostly to showoff and lavish money. But he can never travel home to vote good leaders for his state.
Is Christmas more important than our political future?
Genius100: You are right. For those debating him, have you ever wondered why almost 100% of drug pushers caught in Asian countries that have death penalty for drug pushing are Igbos?
What would make a group of people so desperate that they choose countries where you will get killed if caught, to go do their drug pushing? Something is truly wrong!
I don't fully agree with you because other tribes do drugs as well but the Nigerians/igbo society is pushing people to do what they are not supposed to do
Listen to an igbo man say what I was trying to say, but I don't totally support the ban on spraying money we can moderate it because it is already apart of our culture, but we as igbos must stop worshipping money as someone said if you worship money then your politicians also worship money and that is why they loot you dry
Guavo: the predominant tribe in Abuja is Gbagi (it's their ancestral land),not fulani or hausas as an average "outsider" might think.
Sit down there fulani own it, if fulani say they own oil for South na common Abuja them no own, which tribe would the gbagi tribe support? Maybe in future if they are wise because of the igbo businesses in their land they can decide to push the fulanis out because their economy would crash once igbos pull out from Abuja
MrColdsweat: They're coming to accuse you of having poverty mindset
Lol I have already been called poor, I am actually the one that dont have poverty mentality because I am not moved by people spraying money, I know its showbiz, I am smart enough to know that, but the fools are getting all agitated and all worked up, lol. I am having fun while at the same time educating their as*.
