Ghana in progress. 1 ambulance per constituency unfold this week.......

samorobo:lol. i was having Chinese and Americans as classmate during my undergraduate days. Ghana owns one of the academic center of new york university ( just search new york university Ghana on your tab) America students visit Ghana for many reasons. exchange program, internship purpose or full fledged degree program. there are handful number of India and Lebanese in Ghanaian university. infrastructure wise, university of Ghana is second to non in west africa sub region. knust and UCC are moving up the ladder fast. |
samorobo:nah. if you want to listen to Ghana music influence. stick with fela beat or the famous igbo musician ( osita osadebe) thus music are direct Ghanaian influence. Any adult igbo can easily listen to old Ghanaian songs and enjoy it even with understanding the meaning. the melody is almost the same. |
kkins25:You dey cape coast(;which area of cape are you?)my days are limited here. I have been here for a while now. |
for the love of fela music. today marks his 22 years of his demise and I am surprise Nigerians are not talking about it. can someone play me zombie...

Just30:CBI , empire concrete and the new one dzani rolled out by Ibrahim mahama. Ghana produce more cement than she needs. |
PetroDollax:Ghana is in process of supplying gas to cote de voire as i type. i wonder why this guy don't update their info. Ghana and Nigeria gas contract may not be more than this year. The country don't even talk about it anymore. the information minister was saying Ghana is using just 40 percent of the electricity of what she produce while 60 percent is going into waste. Ghana currently have over 6000 megawatts of installed capacity with about 90 percent nationwide coverage. over the past 1 month since I have been in the country my light has never blink. and funny i am not even in Accra nor any city . I am in remote part of the country. this the new Gas complex below it was commissioned last week. it will be the think thank of how Ghana will administer her gas both at home and for export.

edon21:so you really don't know there are Ghanaian lecturer in Nigeria Universities. both the public and private. He was sacked base on his erroneous thinking. |
forgiveness:This nauseating. Ghanaian academia was part of those who nurse adult education of UniversIty of ibadan (""kweku atta was part of those invited to establish the first Adult-Education Department on both the campus of the University of Ibadan and Nigeria at large"" . Ghana does not need to have much representative. she has handful amount of UniversIties. what is remarkable is having her university listed despite the size and number. and top it all all. having three to four listed.Academically speaking, compared to Nigeria, Ghana is a giant of Shakespearean proportions. history is there. |
edon21:Ghana is a population of less than 30 million with a handful number of UniversIty compare to her Nigeria counterpart . And if a country such as that can have two or three uni ranked. that is impressive. |
edon21:Lol.. This is a remark i don't forgive. what is this jamb? . Your 400 over over 400 score in jamb without wassce is not enough to get admission anywhere in the world including Nigeria. jamb is a ranking criteria not admission criteria ( You may need to Google the difference). Nigerians are happily paying over 36 times of what they will pay in Nigeria. and they feel comfortable about it. |
forgiveness:lol..... you are known for this ignorance. |
forgiveness:Why dont you Google. remember i don't spoonfed. |
forgiveness:it is a way of telling you Springfield oil company is part of Ghanaian company operating in Nigeria most vibrant sector. ( oil) |
forgiveness:You must have forgotten Springfield group of COMPANY. the owner a ( Ghanaian ) allegedly romancing madueke ( Nigeria former petroleum minister) it seems you guys don't read stories. |
theenchanter:I am not interested in your biography. never ask you to give me your current details. either you are busy or not. it is less of my buisness. |
theenchanter:Yawn when the opposite is the case... Anyway it is better you leave the rest to stop further error. |
theenchanter:whether full blown or half blown reccession. Any drop in economy exceeding 6 months is term as reccession. Their GDP growth fall within months which indicate many major economy contributor such as manufacturing and income dropped. and that is reccession. I actually don't get the bane of your logic. Nigeria exited recession in Q3 of 2017 and if it was by oil price alone, oil producing countries ought to follow suit... which is not d case. SA rebounded in Q2 of last yearEvery country has it own fundamentals. for instance , Saudi Arabia didn't fell into reccession despite the huge oil drop. she has created enough foreing reserve to withstand the doom perioud. Venezuela case was more of political issues rather than economy difficulties. Angola economy fundamentals was at the mercy of foreigners . many oil cash was retrieved back to the owner abroad .hence, affecting the pulse of the nation. south africa quick recovery was simply base on strong and robust financial sector . Nigeria case was merely a sudden rise of oil price and a merely sudden fall in the oil price will send Nigeria back into reccession. The fundamental are there. 2004 case is an example. SA is currently growing at 1.9% and nigeria at 2.1%. Simple wikipedia searchI didn't made a mistake when I said south Africa economy growth is around 2.0 or 1.8. Nigeria growth wasn't impressive anyway.. i dont think there's need to repeat nor rephrase my previous post concerning how our revenue is spent cos I believe I've conspicuously treated that earlier.I will be glad if you can point out to where I have repeat you anyway. ( in some cases this kind of remark are unneccasry ) Nigeria revenue management is mischievous and I have provided evidence from the former petroleum minister. I actually didn't say Nigeria dosnt have a pulse. she has but not worth emulating or what can be borrowed. many oil country are well emulating . Norway for instance is an example. UAE is also reccomendable |
rvp20182:And furthermore, south Africa financial sector remain healthy, robust and resilient despite the country sluggish economic growth. which simply means the cost and risk of producing and trading of goods and services will continue to reduce and thus makes an important contribution to raising the standard of living of her citizens. |
theenchanter:What do you mean by first to exit reccession in the world and no other country exceeding reccession is growing at 1 percent ? south Africa was also in reccession just at the same time with Nigeria. and her reccession barely lasted for months. south africa current growth is around 2.0 percent to 1.8. Nigeria case wasn't exceptional. the cause of Nigeria reccession was also the cause of Nigeria quick recovery . the recent oil price and revenue was the bane of Nigeria growth. if oil price slump today at four consecutive quarters( Anythng around 40 dollars per barrel will send Nigeria back into reccession) Nigeria will simply go back into reccession. while it is commendable to say south Africa has birth a robust financial sector for her self in case of any loom danger, Nigeria rising inflation and pressure on the external reserves created by the capital flow reversal as the current challenges may quickly contribute to Nigeria fallen sharply back into reccession if oil price is not stable. Yes there are laws that prescribe how revenues from oil resources should be managed, but successive Nigerian governments have dedicated such revenues into consumption while funds for infrastructure have had to be borrowed at an extra cost. this is a fact every right thinking Nigeria knows . it is a reported case that Nigeria former minister of petroleum resources ""Diezani Alison-Madueke"" had allegedly stole over 90 billions of dollars from the petroleum cash. how that is true, i really can't say since Nigeria generated revenue is far below that amount but anyway, it is a clear indication of mismanagement in petroleum sector. |
AskiaHarem:stop quoting me foolishly.... |
rvp2018:It will interest you that Nigerian governments have dedicated oil revenues into consumption while funds for infrastructure have had to be borrowed at an extra cost . In Nigeria, oil price boom is treated as a permanent shock and every downturn as temporary. All the revenue is for Nigeria to consume; nobody cares about tomorrow, let tomorrow care for itself… kenya can understudy Ghana pattern for this. |
rvp2018:Kenya should be proactive about it. To me Norway model is the most attractive style any oil producing country can borrow. however, in this regard , Ghana case is also excellent. since oil depit in quantity . Ghana has set up an heritage fund from the sales of oil cash for future generations. ""Ghana’s oil revenue inflow into the Heritage Fund has reached US$585,172,436.04 as at 2018, seven years after the country commenced commercial production of crude oil. The nation’s Petroleum Revenue Management Act (PRMA) 2011, set the Ghana Heritage Fund to save oil revenues for future generations of Ghanaians"" |
TayserMahri:Kenya is thinking in the right direction..... so what has kenya done so far with her study? A 12 member delegation from Kenya has arrived in Accra to understudy the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) in its application of Nuclear Technology. The delegates who will be hosted for a week are representing various institutions including Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation (KALRO), Kenya Nuclear Electricity Board (KNEB), Kenyatta University (KU), Kenya bureau Board (KeBS), Kenya Industrial Research Development Institute (KIRDS) and the National Commission for Science Technology and Innovations (NACOTI). The training saw participants through various modules including Strategic Action Plan, Business Plans and a comprehensive tour of the various science laboratories. The Chief Scientist at the Kenya National Commission for Science Technology and Innovations, David Otwoma who doubles as a team leader of the delegates expressed delight at the technological advancement of GAEC. According to him, the decision to visit GAEC was informed by its impressive advancement in Nuclear applications as acknowledged by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He added that, the information they have acquired so far exceeds their expectations and will help enrich their knowledgebase in the application of nuclear technologies back in Kenya. The Director General of GAEC Prof. Benjamin Nyarko noted in an interview with GAEC Press that, the World including the International Atomic Energy Commission (IAEA) is preaching sustainability for National Nuclear Institutes in Africa; an IAEA project dubbed “RAF 0047”. According to him, the IAEA RAF 0047 initiative requires that, pragmatic steps are taken to sustain the operations of National nuclear institutions in Africa. He disclosed that, as some African IAEA member states are working towards signing their first Strategic Action Plan, the commission is currently on its fourth Strategic Action Plan. He added that, GAEC’s quest to support all member states that knocks at its door is in line with IAEA’s initiatives to ensure sustainability with respect to Nuclear Institutions in Africa. Prof. Nyarko described GAEC as a “one stop shop” in the West African Sub regions where member states can acquire the needed support in the application of nuclear technologies. He said, the commission has the human capacity. source . Ghana atomic energy commission |
TayserMahri:The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) organized a program that hosted a ten member team from Nigeria at the International Miniature Neutron Source Reactor (MNSR) Training Facility (IMTF) in Accra, Ghana. The Centre Manager of the Nuclear Reactors Research Centre (NRRC) under the National Nuclear Research Institute (NNRI), GAEC, Dr. Henry Cecil Odoi said the objective of the program was to train member states who operate MNSRs outside China to convert their Research Reactor fuels from Highly Enriched Uranium (HEU) to Low Enriched Uranium (LEU). According to him, efforts were initiated in 2006 to convert the Chinese-designed MNSR in Ghana from HEU to LEU fuel. ‘The Ghana Research Reactor -1 is the first of five such MNSR reactors outside of China to have been converted and the HEU core returned to China”. He added that through a collaborative work between Ghana, USA, China and the IAEA, the HEU core was removed from the reactor in August 2016 and a new LEU core installed. ‘The Nigerian’s MNSR is the next to undergo conversion of the core and Ghana is hosting them for series of training sessions to help equip them with the requisite skills to carry out the activity’, he explained. The head of the Nigerian team, Dr. Hamisu Abukari Admamu in an interview said, their research reactor which was commissioned in February, 2004 will be converted from HEU to LEU. According to him the training sessions will help them prepare for the conversion process. He commended the efforts of the supervisors and facilitators for giving out their best to his team. A specialist at the International Relations Department of the SOSNY R& Company, Russia, Ms. Irina Shatalina, who together with her team offered technical training to the Nigerian personnel expressed satisfaction at the rate of progress made by the Nigerians so far.She intimated that she was confident the Nigerians would be able to convert the core within the stipulated period at the end of all the training sessions without assistance. She also expressed gratitude to GAEC for the immense support given her and her team during the training sessions.... source. Ghana Atomic energy commission . |
Ghana on the progress of building nuclear plant to power her electricity. rvp20182:The reality is many Africans are still unbanked which made the credit suise outcome very scanty and very unlikely. there are many rich cocoa farmer in Ghana without a bank account. they prefer the local way of banking, how will suise account for that? And so is Nigeria. there are many rich men without a bank accout. Africa is still a developing country. the criteria of using bank account to judge the average wealth of Africans adult might not be a true reflection of the reality. for example, only 40 percent of Nigeria adult are banked. well, i maintain per capital will have been better because it cut across the average number of population and more realistically this will serve very well for the nation as the result can be used to improve the economic performance of the nation faster and quicker. Per adult alone is very limited. |
rvp20182:Per adult doesn't portray a good economic veiw of a nation as it is limited . per capital will be better instead it reflect the average person regardless of age. |
MuttleyLaff:He is confused for following his tradition and culture right? but if what he did was celebrating holy week which begin with palm Sunday or ascension Thursday or Pentecostal Sunday (whitesunday) You will be here eulogising him. Are you sure you are not more confused than him? |
Only ministry of education can guaranty school quality and standard. NUC by law is to provide accreditation to courses and campuses within Nigeria and not any degree obtain outside Nigeria or online. if any potential student is in doubt of any school either at home or abroad . he or she should contact ministry of education regarding the institution. And Nigerians, education is now very accessible. Nysc now accept online degree for mobilization. so just Google up a good UK school and enrol. enjoy your education at your bedroom. |
