theenchanter:UTME as an agency is not compelling institution to peg with 120 mark as that figures itself is not a standard but a ranking process. what the government want to get across is filling up the spacious institution due to non availability of space in the public uni. candidates who have O'Level requirement for admission but scored less than 200 in UTME were in the past denied university admission. While candidates, who scored 200 and above without five credits required for admission into any University in the country admission because they score 200 plus. The cut-off mark from 200 to 120 is that the 50 percent benchmark has been disrupting admission quota system in higher institutions across the country for the past 10 years as some departments/schools admit students year in year out while some others do not have enough candidates to populate the departments/schools UTME is whatever u call it, but I know it's a mandatory exam a student must pass before entering any higher institution in naija. Not neccasry, they are other exams student can also do without UTME. one is science laboratory course of Ekiiti state uni and the other exams called IJMB. even some UniversIty offer pre-degree/remedia program making UTME a ceremonial writting. i've never seen where legon ranked ahead of university of ibadan on any respectable ranker's table. Even with our ongoing strike actions against d govt. Then you may need to go check the numerous ranking table. The most popular UK one ""times higher education has always peg legon ahead of any Nigeria uni since 2015/2016 it was recently taken over in 2017 and last year. legon in other ranking body like Qs and reuter still put legon ahead of any Nigeria uni. UTME is criteria for admission into university in naija unless u're talking about mushroom universities like the ones nigerians attend in Ghana.UTME is not a criteria but a ranking system. the only criteria is your o level results. You are yet to prove they are mushroom anyway. i consider that as an opinion. Nigerian govt invests in education but we're clamouring for more investment.Nigeria Goverment investment in education is a tiny on the dot. |
theenchanter:First of all, the new cut of point of UTME is to give prominent to o- level result above UTME score. The motive behind the 120 is basically for ranking not for admission. the decision to reduce the cut off mark is to rank candidates based on their O'Level result. Therefore, whoever scores 120 in JAMB and has five credit in O' Level stands a chance to be admitted into a university. The ranking became necessary because there is no space for the candidates in the public universities. it is logical way the goverment thinks it will solve the problem of over-subscriptions in a university, where 6000 candidates are expected to be admitted but 99000 seek admission into the institution. Nbody can be admitted into Nigeria university "unless he is qualified. What qualifies an individual is the O level, not the UTME" Therefore the UTME score is not a test of knowledge but a ranking system. i've explained the major reason u see nigerians in ur universities (not even the top universities). I dont understand what u mean by international brand cos I know nigerian universities are ranked than Ghanaian ones but I agree that easy admission is a genuine reason since u dont write any admission exams to get into Ghanaian universities, all u need is waec.Any international university is a brand on your cv when seeking for admission or job so far the certificate is not obtained at home. Nigeria UniversIty are not ranked than her GHANIAN counterpart. The few four Nigeria who make the list has always been ranking below university of Ghana. Knust in some other ranking have gotten a better hedge too. If u see any nigerian in any of ur mushroom (not top) universities, just know they can't pass d mandatory admission exam and doesn't want to go to d polytechnic or other higher institutions but UNIVERSITY.Not always true, Nigeria educational system itself is rigid not because of the academic rigourous but goverment failure to invest in that critical sector. as i said, the mandatory exams(UTME) is not the criteria for for admission but o level result. but if u see any nigerian in ur top universities, those reasons might not be their case.not true as well. many Nigerians follow friends, many who came to Ghana thru me choose some of the school because they have a friend there. |
forgiveness:Go figure it yourself. the school name is given . |
theenchanter:First of all, UTME is not a test of knowledge but a criteria to reduce university intake due to limited space and inadequate funding. The UTME can easilly be passed by any one now. it is just 120 cut off point for any institution while some famous university still peg their cut of mark to 180, some federal poly still maintain 150 .so the idea of not passing UTME isn't the main point here. As a former recruiter myself, i have fair understanding of what make Nigeria student end up in Ghana. space availability is one, international brand is another and lastly security and easy of admission process are all what makes majourity of them end up choosing Ghana. It if were to be UTME only, some school offer pre degree and remedial programs, they can easily do that and pass the minimum cut of point of 120 just to get their matric number and end up in these famous uni |
forgiveness:ode, That links is to support the evidence of her german presence. and about ranking go figure it yourself. or remain in an abject ignorance. |

forgiveness:Even when the links is posted to you. Anyway remain in wacky opinion |
According to my own very observation, this school admitted a lot of Nigerians schooling in GHANA. Base on my rough estimation 80 percent Nigerians, 18 percent of other Africans and 2 percent Ghanaian . zenith university colledge.......

samorobo:We go thru this before and it is very strange you are still repeating it |
forgiveness:it is not an online school. stop being foolish |
forgiveness:https://www.fham.de/. That is it stop being stupid. Mr ignorance |
forgiveness:you have been lash well enough to stay clear of vaxx but know fully well, anytime you lied here or misinformed nairalander, i will be here to correct you. |
obaaderemi:This alone shows your inability not to accept evidence even if it is inserts into your brain. i think at this point, you need to stop talking about grammatical explanations. We are Africans and can be excused for making blunders. But don't hide your stupidity behind an armour of wrong tenses. I got what you meant when you said America get its technology from Germany. It's not just about your hobbled grasp of language but your ignorance as well. Then shouild i say you are trolling then, that sentences had been explained and i gave reasons as to why it is used. what you can only do is keep repeating ""Get"" as a way to attack my reply to you since you have no single evidence against it. You know, in Africa many semi- illiterates like yourself do not know that since the 1850s America has been a hot house of invention. If you had known you wouldn't have started this argument in the first place. I am sure deep inside of you, you have learnt never to make that mistake again. The only obstacle standing in your path is your pride, which has been injured already anyway. You will keep on loosing it. and i will be here to correct that foolishness of yours as it keep on resurfacing. At least learn new thing if you haven't come across one. You are the most shameless specimen on this thread. Everyone can see how you keep going from one embarrassing mistake to another. What did I reject and how have you defended the nonsense claim of America getting its technology from Germany and Korea getting its technology from China? You can see your fellow brethren had stay stay far from your post, they think agreeing with you is accepting stupidity. it is not that you are intentionally being stupid anyway, i think it is part of the trick you have master when evidence become what you can't reject anymore. Did you think you made sense when you claim the Germans invented the wheel? This is the height of illiteracy, You ignore the fact that motor car was invented by German (known as benson) and everybody including USA copy from it and that today is used as a standard for any motor car. The bone of argument says USA took his tecnological idea from Germany. this is what you should argue out not shiffting the goal post. i am going to need an interpreter here. Mixing up your tenses keeps giving your posts ambiguous meanings. It's either you've lost your candour or you are being deliberately ignorantThis is a dishonest lie. tell me again, you don't understand what i wrote there. that was a mistake and that was caused base on how i typed fast. and this can happen to anyone. i can see you have been pushed to make Google your friend.]That wasn't Google anyway, if it is , i will have refrence it to tell the readers where it was copy. i dont plagiarized fool. The fact still remain, the motor car was invented by germans and American copy the idea . Americans having more patent in technological innovation does not disqualify my earlier statement that the whole technological advancement of America today had a German solid background. |
forgiveness:calling it mushroom doesn't make it so. what you should. do is to compare the ranking base on what is obtainable in Germany. |
forgiveness:This is not true. |
NairobiWalker:BEAUTIFUL uni |
Danielnino00:This is nothing but the truth, ASUU is a good reason, availability of space is another factor, international brand also contribute. Every year over a million (mostly over 1.5 million) Nigerian students seek admission to tertiary institutions every year and the number of universities in Nigeria isn't really enough, coupled with the fact that most students prefer to apply for the more prestigious public universities ahead of the Private universitiesYes, the public educational system in Nigeria is incapable of admitting Nigeria sea of student seeking admission. Less than 500,000 students get admitted to universities here! Those who cant secure admission to universities will opt for polytechnics or college of educations while those who want to attend universities at all cost will pick Ghana and other West African countries..Nigeria public university offer lesser way for seeking admisstion too some get in thru pre degree or this remedia programs which they have to pay thru their nose and eyes., Nigeria education system is poorly fund , therefore perform badly in the critical sector of sustaining over 1.6 million students seeking admission. Nigeria’s public officials tend to pay attention to issues affecting the general populace only during election periods.. The certificates from most of those mushroom private universities in Ghana are worthless in Nigeria.. You know that too! So those paying millions of naira to attend such schools are just wasting their money! There is no reason to believe this, there is no prove to suggest that Nigeria populated private uni in Ghana is underrated in Nigeria labour market. no reserach has proven this lies of yours. i bet some are better than you lots. some dont even return, some further up to masters and PhD. And finally, stop trying to make it look like a big deal that there are a lot of Nigerians studying in your country! ..Nigerians are studying in the UK, US,Germany, China and India too.. Nigeria accounts for the most students from Africa among the ivy league schools...It is a big deal when Ghanians themselves are not coming to school in Nigeria , it is a big deal if lots of capital flight is involve. this idea of educational tourism Nigeria embarking on is translatiing to lots of dollar for Ghanaians and therefore contributing to naira weakness. And note, most of the private uni in Ghana has less than 2 percent Ghanaian in them. |
NairobiWalker:i will like to see more picture of the uni |
jaycent:There is nothing to argue about |
jaycent:i was educated in Nigeria at basic level and i know what i am saying. No Ghanaian born and breed in Ghana will opt in for any Nigeria uni. Few GHANIAN schooling in Nigeria are those who have Nigeria background. and they are less than 0.50 percent talkless of 1 percent. |
jaycent:This is another lie. No ghanian born and breed in Ghana will opt for Nigeria uni. And the few ones in 9ja uni are the ones who had Nigeria background. |
obaaderemi:Are you that daft to spot the diffrence of that analogy. i said my earlier illustration was pointing out to what America learn or copy from Germany. i think you intentionally want to stupid here, Are you nkw accepting america copy and. took some technological idea from Germany and you have also agree that you are making a mistake when i told you about technological transfer. i will not stop kicking and showcasing your stupidy out of that ass you called a brain |
Danielnino00:olodu ni e. next time you quote smartly in a way i can reply you or better still , ask from those who can educate you on how to use the internet. You dont argue pointing out grammatical mistake, your stupid fools should have know i have posted many coherent grammer here which means the current device i am using now is currently diffrent from what i used earlier. eranko |
Danielnino00:stupidity, why not call the whole Nigeria to spot vaxx mistake. |
Danielnino00:it is easier to spot literacy. ... your used of nairaland is wacky and a show of ignorance. This alone can explain your level of smartness. |

Go and learn how to used nairaland first. That we be the first education here so far. |
Jonraid:No Ghanaian student born and breed in Ghana will choose any Nigeria uni even if is base on scholarship |
forgiveness:There is no foreign uni in nigeria. the so called America uni is owned by atiku with America modeling. it is not an American uni. Ghana has a German uni called Houschule fur angwandite management |
Danielnino00:Not true , Greater accra population was even less than 3 .5 million as of 2010. Google dont lie. Accra and tema are the most industrialized part of Ghana and they are in greater Accra.. 10 billion USD is all you can boast of of? Lmao. Accra is even your capital! Not Accra And Tema only. they are other industrial investment scatter all over the country, like Takoradi harbour and the oil refinary. like Ghana oli palm developmental company( the largest oll palm production company in Africa) it is located in estreem vilage of kede( Eastern region). 10 billion woth of GDP in ratio is a lot more that what lagos is currently taking. not including gold refinery that is not located in both accra and tema. And how's Accra raking in more cash than Lagos? Post the revenue here let's see!check the ratio. And your last paragraph is just as lame as your moniker..i think you are more stupid than i thought. The state affairs of lagos economy is based on what the remaining 35 state are producing.or contributing. Lagos economy is bigger than better than Ghana: Fact!Greater accra economy alone is bigger than that of lagos by ratio fact. lagos STATE is now part of an oll producing state. compare that with greater Accra with no single natural resources. you will learn by force. |
forgiveness:one is a German own uni, so it is too stupid to compare with any Nigeria uni |
obaaderemi:mr ignorance, the llustration of that statement was what went on in the past. what America borrowed and developed |
Danielnino00:Another ignorance here , Greater Accra region alone has 10 billion dollar worth of GDP and yet is less than 4million. compare that population with lagos state. Lagos doesn't produce oil like Ghana!Greater accra has fewer population, it has less consumable market , it even have small GDP. yet by ratio is raking more cash than lagos state. But Lagos economy is far better than Ghana's.This is stupid as it sound. remove al the 35 state direct amd indirect investment to lagos state and let see what will be remain GDP of lagos state. if lagos state were to be a counntry on its own, it can be richer than togo. All the 35 remaining state were contributing to lagos state economy. Ghana should hide its face in shameI think Nigeria should remain silent if togo is talking...... it isn't about how big, it s about how best. |
