butterflyl1on: Without the sperm the egg is useless in its function and without the egg the sperm is useless as well. For each to attain purpose they need to come together then life as we know it begins its process of actualisation.
When they do combine the process is known as fertilisation. This fertilised egg then travels down the Fallopian tube into the womb in order to implant itself in the womb lining. Once this is done then conception is said to have occurred.
Proudgorgeousga mentioned anovulation. Anovulation means that an egg is not released ovulation does not occur in such a person. However a person who is going through Anovulation can still menstruate.
For those who ovulate and fertilisation occurs and the egg fails to implant itself in the womb then the signal needed by the body to cause a stoppage of menstruation fails and menstruation occurs, shedding the womb lining and the failed egg along with it. please read this post and tell me where I am not getting it.... let's say there was an egg that had been fertilized. The womb is an hazardous place to be without implantion. Especially during menstruation. The uterus swells, it contracts, it shed the lining that the egg would've implanted on. If the womb didn't dissolve the fertilized egg before the period, it wouldn't be in a position to stay in there ... |

Proudgorgeousga: 99% of the time spotting during pregnancy indicates a high risk pregancy, miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.
I went through the article, I read where they wrote menstruation during pregnancy occurs if the woman conceived close to menstrual period but then still she is not shedding her fetus as implied in your conversation with jonnydon22. Even women with anovulation menstruate. In my discussion with the dude... I made mention of implanting which catbelly fail to see before repeating the same thing I told johndon22 |

CatfishBilly: So, na blog post you carry come?
Let me school you then since you're being unnecessarily obtuse.
In menstrual cycle of 28 days, ovulation occurs mid cycle at about day 14 and this egg lives for about 24 to 48 hours, meaning that the sperm has this range to fertilize the ovum. After that, it's implanted into the wall of the uterus. If no implantation occurs, to wall of the womb is shed as menses. As you can see in this timeline, there's nothing like "getting pregnant close to your period".
If you still want to be unnecessarily dense, pick up a textbook on reproductive biology and leave blogs alone. are you done? |

butterflyl1on: Women do not conceive close to their menstruation. Conception timing occurs after ovulation and the conditions for ovulation and conception prohibit menstruation.
Once fertilisation occurs the body is notified to stop menstruation in order to aid implantation.
What you are saying can only happen during a hormonal imbalance episode but even at that, once a fertilised egg is implanted then any bleeding after that is known as a miscarriage aka spontaneous abortion which can be caused due to a hormonal issue or excessive implantation bleeding or spotting.
Catfishbilly do you concur? sperm can survived close to three to five days....what about that? |

Miscarriages are natural and thus like natural death is not murder.

Wuminity: TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN GOOD LUCK!
Most girls don't understand this because of much heavy grammar used to teach it, and we don't listen to our body too. I read, I started listening to my body for signs and I arrived at the simple analysis/steps........
MENSTRUAL PERIOD:The time blood flows out of your private area, when you use pad.
MENSTRUAL CYCLE: Days it takes to see another blood in the month. If you last saw your period in June 11th and it started again on July 10th 2017, then you have 30days cycle (count from 11 June to 10 July). NOTE: It is erroneous to believe its 28days cycle, different women have different cycles ranging from 21-35 days.
OVULATION PERIOD: This is time to get pregnant without stress. This is 2 weeks after your period or 2 weeks before the next period. Here's a simple way to calculate your ovulation (unsafe) period. 1. From the first day you see the blood of your period. 2. Pick up a calendar and count 15 days including the first day of the blood stain. 3. Mark the 15th day with a pen. 4. Mark 3 days before the 15th day, and mark 3 days after the 15th day. 6. You will notice you have 7 days marked. These 7 days are your ovulation/fertile days also known as unsafe period. That is if you have sex on any of these days, then you have 98% chances of being pregnant. 7. Do this every month diligently
EVERY OTHER DAY IS YOUR SAFE PERIOD. For example: 1. If your period is 11th July, 2017, 2. 15 days after the first day of the blood stain will be on 25th of this July too (2weeks after) counting from 11th. 3. 15th day is on the 25th July 2017. 4. 3days before the 15th day is 22, 23, 24. 5. 3days after 25th July 2017 is 26,27,28. 6. 22-28th July (7days) is when you are ovulating. It is your fertile period. **Don't forget that the 7 days is a reminder that sperm stays in the female body for about 7 days. Any sexual contact in between ovulation period will form something that has ears, eyes, etc. ALSO...... If you want a baby girl, have sex between 3 days before ovulation (22- 24th) 2017. For a baby boy on the main ovulation day and 3 days after 25th. ...........
MAJOR SIGNS THAT YOUR OVULATION HAS BEGAN... You don't need a doctor, just relax. After 2 weeks you may feel the following: 1. Headache. 2. High body temperature. 3. Dizziness (feeling of tiredness and sleepiness). 4. Breast tenderness/ size increases just like when you are menstruating. 5. Increased sex drive. 6. Light cramps or pain on one side of the pelvis. 7. Abdominal bloating. 8. Heightened sense of smell, taste or vision (you eat more). 9. Vagina mucus becomes slippery (if you notice, put it in between fingers...it stretches like thick catarrh or snail mucus...colorless like egg white. ...........
N/B: The instance here is for ladies with 30 days cycle. And someone who saw her period in July 2017. If yours is 28, then it's 14 days and not 15 days. **
If you have headache without a cause, check back to when your period started. You can drink both malt and peak milk....don't run to the pharmacist always on issues that can be naturally handled, because drugs are not always good on girls. Or you can take only paracetamol. MEN, read and educate your wives and sisters, most don't know this.

1. Religion has also supported at times such practices as cannibalism, suicide, incest, murder slavery and is responsible for many aberrations in social behavior.
2. It created hatred and war between people belonging to different religions.
3. Religion made people believers in their destiny and people did not make efforts to improve their lot.
4. Religions created an idle class of people viz. priests whose only aim in life was to preach religion. They lived like parasites in society and lot of power and esteem.
5. Religion has most of the times, resisted the spread of modern scientific though and has regarded various products or scientific research as tools devil.
6. Religion is also responsible to large extent for corruption in the society, particularly in priestly class. what about its advantage? |

Fertilized egg is called a zygot and that is a damn baby..

johnydon22: I want to present my argument with a story, listen to me and try to read meanings to my words.
On a very good Christmas i spent at the village about a decade ago, i was quite small and enjoyed christmases a lot. On the 24th of december mama made a pot of Ogbono soup, as i relished mine i noticed we had chicken in it which was unusual in a typical kpako Nigerian home.
The chicken is always reserved for the special occasion which was supposed to be the next day 25th december, you know christmas and all, a lot of swag came with that.
I was happy at the same time suspicious of the whole thing " does this mean we won't get to eat chicken tomorrow?"
I had to ask papa what was going on, why did we have chicken in our soup because i was very certain we only came back to the village with one huge white broiler from the town.
Papa laughed and explained.
"yes we will still eat Chicken tomorrow, the chicken we just ate is from a hen that breaks and drinks it's own eggs"
This story always comes to my mind when i am involved in arguments about abortions as people always bring the "fetus is not human argument" as absurd as i find that notion i will still argue even if this is the case doesn't still make it okay to kill it.
Now we can take eggs from a hen and eat, the eggs may be eaten by a snake or other predators or breaks by accident - these are naturally okay.
But when the mother hen by herself breaks her own eggs and drinks them, this is not okay, it was a disgusting sight for a hen to do this, this was exactly the reason why that hen had to be killed.
An egg may not be entirely a chicken but an egg is still chicken kind.
let me know if you made anything out of this story fetus are yet to be call human, yes they posses life but human stage development isn't complete... Likewise the same things with chicken egg..if you disagree with me answer this questions? 80% of the fertilized eggs are menstruated, then why aren't women who menstruate after having unprotected sex charged with murder? Why don't we have funeral when there is miscarriage? |

AgentOfAllah: I am presently working on a hypothesis of mine: We tend to look at consciousness as an expression of the self, a unitary entity. I propose that the self does not exist in the way that we think of it. Instead, the self is the convoluted result of the individual selfish tendencies of our many bodily organs which then become interdependent to guarantee each of their survival. Our organs don't always agree with each other though, so this explains why "we sometimes are in conflict with ourselves". It's why sometimes you feel ice cream is the meaning of life, and why at other times, you feel like puking when you see it. The self, and by extension, consciousness, isn't a unitary entity, but a gallimaufry of organs that are mostly interdependent, but sometimes also in conflict. This hypothesis is still work in progress, but I am very excited about it because it is a problem which can be falsified neuroscientifically. It may end up being stupid, but I intend to pursue it as my personal academic project when I'm done with my present projects. I can't promise I will be able to answer all your questions, but I think your questions will help guide the way I try to address this topic, so please ask!
. it is the brain that send signal to every part of our ogarn...for example it is the brain that let our body knows we are full, it is the same brain that still make our body call for more. Food...this why people still force themselves to eat even after satisfaction..... If that is the case our organ can not independently be selfish without the signals of the brain....whatever is the cause must be as a result of brain preferences..... With your hypothesis.... Are you suggesting our orgarns can act independently without receiving signals from the brain? |

AgentOfAllah: I accept that it is complex, I've also said it evolved (by natural selection) to become complex. I don't have any more to contribute on the subject than this.
Not useful? Wow, that was a painful blow! I was under the impression that this is a forum where we can freely exchange and discuss each other's ideas.
I think you must have misunderstood me. A none zero chance means there is a probability that your supposition is right.
If we didn't witness humans do it, I'm sure people may have claimed a doberman isn't the same species as a pug. Humans are still monkey-like in many ways.
I could say the same for Newton's theory of gravity. Before Newtons Principia Mathematica, there was nothing like any evidence that the Planet Neptune existed. Neptune was first predicted to exist mathematically, using Newton's theory, and then it was discovered after the prediction. Does this mean Newton invented the planet Neptune? The evidence for our shared common ancestry was always there, it just never occurred to anyone to make the link, not until Darwin did so; and did it with such irrefutable elegance! By the way, when the theory was formulated, we hadn't even discovered the DNA. Surely, that the DNA of all living things have overwhelming similarities lends strength to the theory, it does not weaken it in any way. We are related to fish and trees and bacteria and fungi and even viruses!
Actually, the theory has traced our origins back to a unicellular creature. I don't know what you are asking for here? You want biologists to give you the names, colours, exact pictures, occupations, and political leanings of our common ancestors or what?
I'll ask you again: if it doesn't take you anything to accept that you share common ancestors with your 5th cousin, even when you don't know anything about this common ancestor, why is it difficult for you to accept that you can have 1,000th, 10,000th, 100,000th, 1,000,000th, 1,000,000,000th cousins? If you truly believe it's a theory in crises, suit yourself!
Of course! The fact that we all have common DNA signatures implies that we have a universal common ancestor.
On a final note: Darwin was not just an excellent scientist, he was also an excellent communicator. So, even if we end this conversation with you firmly of the notion that the theory is under crisis, I would advise you to still read the book: On the Origin of Species. It is not at all complicated, and certainly not boring like many other scientific materials. You will enjoy it, even if just as a storybook. you already tell me what I want to hear general common ancestors.. that is very fine by me..... Let me quickly correct some assumptions.. 1..we could really share ideas and learn from...each other... you could create a thread on whatever hypothesis you make and lets debate on it....you are not yet an authority...whatever argument you make using your own hypothesis is an assumption...i have never claim to know...i brought existing evidence that has been certified in my argument and not my opinion.... 2 am a lover of art and science....so am not a novice of evolution theory...and i dont think i sound like a novice when expressing my veiws 3 i appreciate your response...i learn one or two from you..... My own advice. ....as an eeducationst.....there is nothing like absolute true.. I study both creationist and evolutionist claim....i see where they both stand and both praticallly make sense... There is nothing bad in learning from both sides.... |

Europeans colonized us once
Arab colonized us twice
If the two race are to stand trials in court of law ....who do you think will received the highest punishment?
As we know, Black muslims suffer from deep mental-slavery and are very opposed to African spirituality. They often try to condemn it as "idol worship." When we say that our religious sculptures are just symbolic focal points, and not God himself, the muslims act stupid like they can't understand this, yet they do the same thing but with a building and not a sculpture.
When muslims worship, they bow and kneel to a mosque in the direction of the kaaba in Mecca. To any onlooker, they are worshipping the mosque building and the kaaba of Mecca.
That would sound foolish to the muslims because they know that the building is just a visual symbolic focal point not an object of worship.
Yet, hypocritically, they don't recognize the same logic in other religions that are doing the same symbolic thing but just with sculpture instead of bowing to a building.
Just as the muslim says they are not worshipping the mosque building, though they are forever bowing to it, we are not worshipping the sculptures. They are just visual focal points.
We only worship the true God, Olodumare. He is not a sculpture or a temple. He is the source of the universe itself. |
