shervydman: I thought u said u're Nigerian....... u should know that
every state or most states in Nigeria gives bursary to their indigenes/students on a yearly basis and some states govt gives scholarship to outstanding students.
we also have health insurance policy in Nigeria provided u're a tax payer. all public hospitals and emergency centers can even testify to that.
if u don't know something; u ask, and don't talk with assurance. am aware busaries is diffrent from student loan. health insurance policy is not working in nigeria. simple。am asking you in person do your local hospital accept one? |

9jakool: Some call them Atakpame because they inhabit that city. However "Ana" is their name and it's more encompassing as they are found in other towns too. It's the same thing as referring the Ikales of Ondo state as Okitipupa, which some do.
Kpalime is thought to be founded by Yorubas, however there was a wave of Ewe population from Notse during the tyranical reign of the king which displaced a lot of people. They sought refuge in Kpalime and other areas. Today, there are no native Yorubas in the city at least that i'm aware of. The people are Ewe just like the people in Popo are Mina. kpalime people themselves says they are yoruba though the language may be complex as i make a point. To clarify you about adebayo nationality. Adebayo grow up in nima accra ghana. sure is parent are from igbeti osun state nigeria. Adebayor relocated to togo when his parent decide to change enviroment. Adebayor speak yoruba ,hausa ,twi fluently.may be ewe i cant say. Adebayor will be proud to call himself a ghanian rather than togo. He only choose togo because of his football career. |

genieluv: shooo, verily no student loans in Nigeria buh i think state governments do give student bursaries annually and depending on your state of origin, some states pay very well. About health insurance, i think only some people who work with govt parastatals and multinational companies have access to those~~ What country are yu from?~~ am aware of the student bursaries which does noy exceed 20.000 naira and that is if you are from lagos state the highest in nigeria. I may be prone to mistake due to latest update. What am saying here is student loan that cover school fees and book cost even if you are a student of convenant uni. the health insurance policy is poor. it doesnt cover non govt worker. even govt worker holding it are not benefiting from the full potential. there is a case of a family friend of mine who works as a staff in futa. She had an accident and took her her health insurance card to the state hospital due to non payment of salary. She was unable to recieve medical care care becuse the card was not recognized. Am currently in erding. Am a nigeria and at the same time a ghanian. |

9jakool: Adebayo is a descendant of Yoruba migrants from Nigera. Yoruba indigines are found in central Togo and the second largest city in Togo, Atakpame is a Yoruba city inhabited by the Ana subgroup. The Yoruba subgroups in Togo are Ana, Manigri(Kambole) and Koura. Adebayo was born in Lome which is an Ewe city and far from the Yorubas in central Togo. The ironic thing is that most Yorubas who migrate from Nigeria to Togo only move to the coastal area especially the big capital city, Lome and ironically some aren't even aware of other Yoruba subgroups in the more hinterland part of Togo. atakpame is a name of a cityand at the same time a tribe. They are close with another tribe called kpalime. Five largest city in togo. |

jieta: you are a very knowledge man, i will like to learn from you. can you please educate me more about how traore and guinea overcome their woe or did there go back to beg France. guniea success can be attributed to kwame inkrumah of ghana who become a co president of guniea after he was outcast from ghana. He helps build a solid foundation of guniea economy. Guinea is the only west african colony that refuse to adopt CFA currency. The money introduce by france throughout her west african colony. Imf has also render a lot of financial help to guinea. Anyway guniea is not completly free from france. She still pay france colonia tax. I belive guniea is the most independent french colony in west africa. The country economy still rely on france for survival due to poor policies of the goverment. |

Nowenuse: Exactly. Francophone West Africans seem too timid to take their destinies into their own hands. The french hold on them is too strong. Coupled with that, most of them might feel they are too small without much rescources, arid and landlocked nations to take their destinies into their own hands.
I was so ashamed and sorry for black Africans the day i watched the clip were all Malians were cheering and worshipping French forces for liberating them from those Tuareg militants. The french appeared as heroes and Saviours for a problem (they the french) also caused.......now tell me why you think these people will ever want to leave France? When the french have made most of them see france as their only helpers and saviours? you cant blame the french colony for thier incapacitated. french power is too influenctial. i will blame . what i call economic of weak african state for it. this is what happen to guniea when she try to do it. When Sékou Touré of Guinea decided in1958 to get out of french colonial empire, and opted for the country independence, the french colonial elite in Paris got so furious, and in a historic act of fury the french administration in Guinea destroyed everything in the country which represented what they called the benefits from french colonization.Three thousand French left the country, taking all their property and destroying anything that which could not be moved: schools, nurseries, public administration buildings were crumbled; cars, books, medicine, research institute instruments, tractors were crushed and sabotaged; horses, cows in the farms were killed, and food in warehouses were burned or poisoned. The purpose of this outrageous act was to send a clear message to all other colonies that the consequences for rejecting France would be very high.Slowly fear spread trough the african elite, and none after the Guinea events ever found the courage to follow the example of Sékou Touré, whose slogan was“We prefer freedom in poverty to opulence in slavery.”. Ecowas can fight,on their behalf |

Muafrika2: The sad thing about this is not the usury of France. It's how Africans under Such French oppression want to be identified as "Francophone." There was this lady who was insisting on being identified "Francophone" in culture, rather than her local tribe. the french system of colony is very unkind in nature. british is soft hearted comparing to french. Most of the french colony has lost thier culture and heritage. Of recent emmanuel macron the new france president apologise to the people of algeria for the brutal colonization |

Nowenuse: True.
We can't help but admit the fact that fulanis seem to be the smartest ethnic group among the large ethnic groups of west Africa. Fulanis have international cultural unity groups accross West Africa.
Hausas are the largest tribe in Niger republic and a majority in Nigeria, yet no international unity, Zarmas are even dominating the hausas politically in Niger republic.
Akans are the majority in Ghana and Ivory coast, yet no international ethnic unity, maybe Just30, lethalbeast or vaxx can explain this for us.
Yorubas are a strong force in Benin republic and even Togo, but no cultural solidarity btw the Nigerian and non-Nigerian yorubas @obaaderemi, 9jakool
But fulanis from over 10 different West and Central African nations have international unity groups. there is ethnic issues in ghana and la cote dvoire but they have develop a strong way to handle it.Before ghanains see themselves as one not until when this selfish politician pollute the mind of induvidual by identifying which tribe they really belong. To me politicians are the one to be blame for this nonsense |

Nowenuse: Nigeria and maybe Ghana can beat French influence in West Africa as soon as our economies become very powerful enought to challenge France. it depends on how strong nigeria or ghana economy will be . This is the truth about 14 french colony cot dvoire ,senegal and togo is inclusive. The reason for France agreement to African demands for independence in the 1960s is france has carefully organised its former colonies into(CFA countries) in a system of “compulsory solidarity” which consisted of obliging the 14 African states to put 65% of their foreign currency reserves into the French Treasury, plus another 20% for financial liabilities. This means these 14 African countries only ever have access to 15% of their own money! If they need more they have to borrow their own money from the French at commercial rates! And this has been the case since the 1960 France has the first right to buy or reject any natural resources found in the land of the Francophone countries. So even if the African countries can get better prices elsewhere, they can’t sell to anybody until France says it doesn’t need the resources. In the award of government contracts, French companies must be considered first; only after that can these countries look elsewhere. It doesn’t matter if the CFA countries can obtain better value for money elsewhere.Presidents of CFA countries that have tried to leave the CFA zone have had political and financial pressure put on them by successive French presidents. Just like olympio of togo and gbagbo of ivory coast. |

freshest4live: When l complain about the French colonial stronghold in Africa which is largely the fault of our African leaders, some take it lightly. This video from Sahara reporter Adeola in 2014, on a former Burkinabe president is quiet touching. https://www.google.de/url?q=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3Doc-wLOipffY&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwjZ6ozM2o_UAhVFCywKHYZZA2MQtwIICzAA&sig2=8AeNcGBdyu0T4pfg95Bj8g&usg=AFQjCNGKYjA8c5aAyg3m0tHDrxnR8OtcTQ this was the reason french millitary disguise like ivorian army and fought laure gbagbo election when he refused to pay france their usual kick back. La cote d'voire and most of the french colony are still under france adminisration indirectly. |

It was so bad that i heard that even fellow christians were mistaken for hausas/muslims and killed because they dressed like hausas/muslims. For a longtime in some hot places, anyone seen on kaftan or Babanriga or hijab would be killed on sight. It was so terrible. But thank God peace has come to stay, muslims can now enter christian areas and vice versa. yes jos is safe now |

Do you know that they killed hausas whenever fulanis attacked...they mount roadblocks nd set any vehicle carrying hausa/fulanis ablaze after removing their people from d vehicle. You won't see dis in d media, but it happens often at Goni gora, kafanchan under Jema'a LGA kaduna. that is what nonwenuse is not getting. he still think it is religious crisis |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 2:34pm On May 26, 2017 |
Nowenuse: It's not just abt being FCT.
During the Tin minning exploration in Jos during colonial times, colonial masters needed more hands and they imported a lot of hausas, igbos and other tribes to Jos which was still a small place. This changed the demographic of Jos forever. This is why you can still find 3rd generation Igbo, yoruba, hausa and bendel people in Jos.
As for Kaduna, it became the capital of old northern region. Port harcourt became the economic capital of old eastern region.
Onitsha did not need to be a capital for settlers to outnumber Indigenes. It happens in any large developing city where the indigenes are small in number. i agree with you . but being the fedral capital carry some weight. too. a capital city will likely be dominated by foreigners |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 2:24pm On May 26, 2017 |
Nowenuse: Yes, and that is why i made exceptions of the hausanized or acculturized populations. Non hausa muslims who have been hausanized linguistically can easily disguise with the hausas, but you cannot expect and Ibadan man who just came to Jos last week to blend with hausas without being exposed.
Very well yes! An igbo guy can attack a yoruba muslim in Jos or Kaduna during crisis, because Igbos and northern christians live together and defend their areas together. Many Igbos have also acculturized with the northern christians and are indifferentiable.
Do u get? hausa christain and igbo christain will not attack yoruba muslim willingly unless there is sign of hausa intruder. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 1:57pm On May 26, 2017 |
Nowenuse: Why would i seperate Lagos from yorubas?
But even among yorubas, they are divided into states and sub-tribes and what am saying is that yorubas from other states have outnumbered the yorubas from Lagos state in their own Lagos state. How hard is this?
Onitsha is an Igbo city, but Igbos from other parts of Igbo land have outnumbered the Onitsha igbo indigenes in their own city. Do you get?
Other Nigerians have outnumbered the Abuja natives in Abuja......infact in the last senatorship election for FCT, there were about 8 southern contenders against 2 FCT indigene contenders. the concept is simple. Lagos is once a federal capital and still the commercial capital. The population of foreigner will likely outnumber the locals. Just the way accra indigene is now minority tribe in their town likewise dubai that is presently dominated by indians. It is expected becuse of lagos position. Let enugu or onitsha become the fedral capital the story will change. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 1:25pm On May 26, 2017 |
Nowenuse: Jos and even Kaduna city ancestrally belongs to minority christian middlebelt tribes, but many settlers came due to urbanization of these places and hausa-fulanis most times are the kind of people who settle in a place and forget where they originally came from and start dragging indigeneship with the natives....
This is just the way hinterland yorubas have outnumbered Lagos yoruba indigenes in Lagos state.
Igbos used to outnumber PH indigenes and dominate Port harcourt before the civil war. i dont get your concept with lagos and yoruba outnumbering lagosians. it seems you are seprating lagos from yoruba. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 1:22pm On May 26, 2017 |
Nowenuse: Of course, but they are caught in between and sometimes even suffer more casualties.
Igbos and Northern christians easily take sides with other christians and hold specific areas, but Hausas and northern muslims do not take sides with yoruba, edo and middlebelt muslims unless they have been heavily hausanized.
Feel free to ask those who witnessed these crises, since you said you live in Jos. i just told you many yoruba family in jos are much like indigene themselves. it is impossible for a proper igbo man to attack yoruba muslim during the war unless the yoruba guy fall a victim and neither will hausa attack his yoruba inlaw during the war. At times you cant even recognize who is yoruba and who is hausa. Unless he disclose his identity. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 12:51pm On May 26, 2017 |
Nowenuse: Were you in Jos during the 2008 and 2010 crisis? The yoruba community in Jos lost approximately 500 people in that crisis as confirmed by the head of yorubas in Jos (they lost more people than others).
This is because yorubas are the largest tribe almost equally divided btw muslim and christians in Jos and they were caught in both sides of the crises?
Nasarawa gwong used to have a large yoruba muslim community in the past. Today, are they still there? NO. Hausas chased them away as well as most christians. in the middle of war innocent suffer the most. Yoruba are never their target. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 12:46pm On May 26, 2017 |
Nowenuse: Yes, the crisis started as an indigene-settler dispute but it always includes everyone and turns into a religious crisis because most times you cannot differentiate northern christians and Southern christians there likewise hausas and other muslims. The same thing with Kaduna
Why are there muslim and christian dominated areas in Jos and Kaduna? Was it so in the 90s? i think jos city has always been dominated by christain right from early nigeria. many jos indigines trace their christain backgroud to somewhere around 100years. The first catholic church in jos is as old as nigeria independent. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 12:25pm On May 26, 2017 |
Nowenuse: Have you ever experienced religious crises in the north?
If no, go and ask those who have. Or ask people who were born and bred in Kano, Kaduna or Jos. well i just fell like i should put it into your notice. in jos for example. there is a large yoruba family whom you may mistake for indigines. They speak both birom and hausa fluently.Jos herself is a christain soon despite muslim population. The riots is always between birom christain youth and hausa vegitable seller. From terminus to ferin gada to gada biyu. It is more ethnical than religion. Yoruba community are left out. Unless igbo trader in some cases. |
