For those going to study I suggest you target the prestigious schools as there are many colleges that offer admission letters to foreigners but with little prospect to employers after graduation.
True and South Africa has a good number of prestigious schools.

Yes, if you have it. You don't need to apply for visa while coming to SA
I mean can you travel to other countries from SA using the permit without a passport?

Nobody chases citizenship in SA anymore. A valid resident permit is enough to cover everything.
Can you use a valid resident permit to travel?

Also remember that there are so many Europeans, Asians and Americans in KIGALI RWANDA and they are there to do business and some of them are working there too. Infact they are more in majority than Africans of other countries living in KIGALI, apart from Congo and Burundi. So it hugely depends on where favour finds u. Thank you.
Are you saying Congo and Burundi have a high population of Europeans, Asians and Americans?

Nobody chases citizenship in SA anymore. A valid resident permit is enough to cover everything. What I mean is that there are more opportunities in the west than SA and furthermore their xenophobic attitude towards Nigerians is a factor
Well said, that's true.

Diplomats have a valid reason because even if their children stay for 10 years, they would still not be eligible for citizenship.

You wouldn't leave a country and a place that offered you a better life and opportunities to a place that offers you the opposite, would you? To answer your question simply, why do people leave Nigeria to other countries of the world? Your answer to this question is the exact reason why those people left those countries to Kigali. The man who came from Tanzania is a medical doctor who had lived in Tanzania for many years and even married from there, but according to him, he felt Kigali offers him a more better life and opportunities. The truth is, you wouldn't be in Kigali and not fall in love with that city, and the country of Rwanda. Thanks.
Nice, I used to think Botswana is way better than Rwanda, not so sure about Tanzania even though it's way bigger in size compared to Rwanda. As we all know, it's usually a case of big country, big challenges.

Please we should look outside SA. If you don't have anyone strong inside to pull strings for you, there's no need to go to SA for hustle. Look to other countries where you can become someone without regards to where you're from. I know top Nigerian govt people working in SA but their wards are not even schooling in SA. I'm not discouraging you but do have a valid purpose and plan well mapped out
Do you mean Nigerian diplomats working in South Africa?

but it was the winners pastor that took me, the pastors friend that came from Tanzania to settle in Kigali, another Igbo guy that came from Botswana and had already settled in Kigali, another Igbo guy that relocated to Kigali from Dubai and some Rwandes to go eat there. Thanks.
Do you have any idea as to why they left, particularly those who left Tanzania and Botswana for Kigali?

As a graduate you don't need to write SAT, you can only write GRE. But your CGPA is low so it might be very difficult for you to get fully funded.

You can state your skills and/or profession, preferred destination and your travel budget to get a better advice.

Travel budget is 2M

Is it possible to get a visa for a short term course like 3D Animation in a foreign school?

Preferred destination: Schengen area.

Do you have any recommendation?
TravelRe: Leaving Nigeria Is A MUST!!, Please Help !!! by Venquire:
kevwemanuel:
You are avoiding USA, if not you can write SAT, blast the exam and get fully funded.

If you can learn Portuguese, you can get a free education in Brazil, and I think Uruguay (Spanish).

So go through this list and make a decision.

All the best.
What will you recommend for a graduate with a below 3.0 CGPA.

Will passing SAT count for a graduate with 2'2?

Modified: SAT is needed for undergraduates only.
TravelRe: Why Not France by Venquire: 11:05am On Oct 20, 2020
mrphysics:
I can only tell you my version of France.

There are no much activities on threads about France because of what it is. The country has a way of keeping you doing one thing and not having time for other things.

Yes, France is one of the big european countries if not the second after Germany.
However, Language barriers is a big problem. French is difficult to learn.

The French people is not associative, they are very conservative. While they are extremely good, do not hope to get anything from them.

There's a great number of black people here, so expect racism at a low level.

The French education system is difficult (extremely), thus, working and studying is very difficult. Also, there are no much students jobs in France compared to Germany and to do one as a student, you must speak French, not just A2 level but B1.

France is good for studies, and you can also get a work upon graduation (somewhat difficult too). They are lots of opportunities for Ph.D in France. A paid Ph.D, so be sure to get one if you want to pursue it and you are good in your field too.

The French system is thorough, they still go through the first principles in teaching.

I won't recommend France if you want to work and study. I will surely recommend it if you are funded or you have the fund to sustain yourself. The learning system isn't flexible, and be sure to have classes from morning to evening. Attached, is my snapshot of my timetable (this is a timetable for a masters program, second year of masters to be precise).

There are the reasons many students don't go the French route, except you are funded.

It's a beautiful country to be in, good atmosphere, nice packages by the government, etc.
Insightful

How much is an average house rent and how is it paid (per week or per month)

$24 per hour is $960 in 5 days (If one works for 8 hours daily)

Will this $960 comfortably pay the bills?

Have you experienced racism in any form?

You're right bro. But what works for Mr A might not work for Mr. B

Sure, some are making it big in Nigeria, while some are not making it despite working very hard.

Some have nothing to show after 10-20years of stay in Europe/U.S., while some will travel/relocate and make it/achieve alot within 5years.

Not only by hardwork, but Luck and Grace.

Some are also relocating just to be far away from everything, seek a new beginning and be happy. Not just about making it to everyone.
Well said.

Actually my first experience interacting with the locals was on the very first day I got there when a young lady came up to me asking if I spoke Thai then proceeded to ask for a selfie.
Many are very open minded to black folks while some due to the negative stereotype of black people from western media are skeptical until they get to know you personally. Overall, I will tell you they are widely accepting people and you should try to learn about the culture so as to fit in better.
There are a few number of great universities you can apply to like Thammsat university, Bangkok university, Rangsit university, Assumption university etc. Just to mention a few. Just do your homework online researching the cost of the degree you will like to apply for, and you should be all good.
Spot on. You hit the nail on the head. Thanks.

Are you very fluent in Thai?

What cultural shock did you experience?
