Okay They did what they had to do to get the government to start focusing on the plight of the region whose lands were being destroyed, and their states suffering financially despite carrying the financial burden of the country. Their agitations even though to extremes at some point is what brought about the 13% derivation, the Niger Delta development commission and intervention programmes in that region The region was ignored until they decided to pick up arms, that seems to be the only language the Nigerian government understands... The same way it's negligence over the years has led to the desolation of Maiduguri and parts of the north east by Boko haram and same thing happening in the northwest by bandits. In extreme cases one needs to destroy to rebuild, to die so we might live. |

You abused her belief from the beginning and that's where you laid a wrong foundation.
Secondly, you lost her when you were in a fight concerning her commitment to church activities. You knew what she stood for and went ahead to marry her without intention to align, and now want to change the other. That's an abuse.
Brother, you are lucky to have married a praying woman, instead of encouraging her the reverse was the case.
Way out is God factor. Awake to the path of Godliness. Keep your ego aside, dialogue with her on a neutral level and seek God for mercy. Reawaken her spiritual consciousness and align with her. You helped made her week and that opened the door to the enemy. Closing the door calls for both of you working together. You need to fix your life ASAP; and stop expecting anything from her, father or anyone else, if they assist it’s fine, if they don’t, you move on.
Don’t you think by now, your mum or your parents should be eating the fruit of their labor and not some unnecessary billing from you, it might be part of the silent issues too
Have you tried having a mother-son deep conversation with your mum too?
Like my pastor once said, “something must happen for something to happen” your mother can’t just turn that bad to you overnight, try to find out what went wrong You read everything he wrote and your talking about him needing to fix his life, what exactly do you think he is trying to do with work and the hustling... Every right thinking person knows he should bless his/her parent eventually but at least let the guy stand on his feet, it's not like the mother or family are poor so you guys should ease up on this parents eating fruit of labour and putting young people under unneccesary pressure... When the fruits come, they will definitely eat it...for now if the mum can't support him, she should at least allow him hustle and stand on his feet...the one about her pressuring him to get married is even crazy... To the OP, don't hate ur mum for your own sake, there is a curse that comes with dishonour of parents, just try to avoid her as much as you can and work harder. |

ArewaNorth: I'm working in SS I used to see half of the rice people eat there in the name of foreign rice mostly from Jigawa but I hardly see anything from south in Jigawa except processed products from Lagos and Ogun. More than 80% of Jigawa State people are farmers and Agriculture constitute major stake of our GDP. Nigeria has $400b GDP; look at the GDP of different sectors and commodities in Nigeria and assess who control the major stake of Nigeria's economy: Accommodation, food, transportation and real estate: 12.2%, Education, health, science and technology: 6.3%, Farming, forestry and fishing : 30.5%, Manufacturing, mining and quarrying: 11.3% Retail, maintenance, repair, and operations: 24.9% Managerial, finance and insurance: 4.2% Telecommunication, arts and entertainment: 1.8% Other services: 8.8%. Going by the given statistics above it can be seen that Education, health, science and technology, Entertainment, manufacturing, Telecommunication, arts and entertainment that u may claim to have more input are not up to 30.5% of GDP contributed by farming and fishing mainly done by a reasonable proportion of Jigawa people while all other businesses ur people do, Jigawa people are either into them too. There has never been any case of Boko Haram or banditry in Jigawa, infact it is the most peaceful state today in Nigeria. Ranting out of bigotry and fanaticism isn't a choice but concrete reasons and points! You could have just made your point without making it seem like you are attacking the south South... All that needs to be done is for oil production to be brought to a halt for 2 months and ur darling jigawa will not be able to pay salaries or carry out any meaningful development again... This is not a good thing and I hope one day every state becomes self sustainable, but for now...stop throwing around statistics that does not translate into reality and stop bashing other regions, I would say same thing to the person you quoted, let's all just do our best so we are able to at least lift ourselves and our immediate family members so we don't add to the burden of the country. |

Some of these pastors like making controversial statements just to draw attention. But what he should have said was Marriage does not guarantee your happiness. Some people find joy & fulfilment in marriage while others experience hell on earth when they get married, especially married to the wrong spouse. I think the idea is that, it is not the marriage itself that makes those that are happy in it happy but the individual attitudes of those in it... A sadist cannot expect to get married and automatically become happy. Don't look for healing in marriage, achieve what you think will make you happy or at least be in the process including becoming a better person for yourself first. |

Why stopping NGOs from providing assistance, the role of NGOs and other international organizations in war torn places is crucial because they can deliver emergency supplies to more people than government.
In Nigeria government officials are known for diverting money, foods and other items into personal use I think the idea is to prevent this communities from perpetually depending on hand outs and start rebuilding their lives...feeding thousands to millions forever is non sustainable, and there is that tendency of people to become lazy and not try to stand on their feet seeing as they are been provided for... Of course the whole process has to be properly coordinated and done gradually... And yes, you are right about our government officials looking for opportunities to steal. |

Do you even realize what having something "logical" to say even means? You are right that trying to sound intelligent and being intelligent are two completely different things indeed I think people should be very careful what they ask of others, like the other guy you quoted mentioned, if for some reason they get a divorce or something happens to her, nobody prays for this though...this agreement means he is not to marry again, and if he does he can't father a child with the other lady... I do not see most women agreeing to this... The man obviously does not want one child and is probably thinking about the future including what the person you quoted mentioned...
