First of all, don't come here and tell me about how smoking is a sin because it is absolutely not a sin. If you think it is, there's no need to reply this thread because I'm not here to debate that for, at least not for now.

So I was made to understand fasting is abstaining from foods and drinks. Smoking weed actually makes you hungry and thirsty as hell but I have my reason for wanting to do it while fasting as well.

Now, my question is this; can I still smoke during my fast, does it count as food?

Tragedy was, today, averted, as an SAA flight developed technical fault midair and was forced to empty some fuel on an island.

Recounting how the whole event played out, Nigerian priest, Precious Uwagbai, said: “A South African Airline with Flight number SA184 just escaped a plane crash now, 5th January 2019, with over 200 passengers onboard. .

We had taken off and were airborne for over 2 and half hours when the pilot announced that there is a technical fault and that we should remain calm. .

We lost our calm when the plane began to shake on air so the pilot had to jettison some fuel over a deserted island so as to avert any fire outbreak Incase of crash landing. .

We were airborne for over 4hrs before we finally had a tough landing at Johannesburg international Airport in South Africa. .

The men of the firefighters service came to our rescue as we landed in a deserted area of the airport and waited for almost 30mins for the rescue team to get us by bus back to the Airport terminal. .

All we have to say is thanks to God for preserving our lives. I am Priest Precious and in the company of 82yrs old Mehdi jaffer and his wife.”

Senator Dino Melaye collapsed in the Police force headquarters in Abuja earlier today.

Bom my boyfriend bought me a phone but I was expecting a car like he promised, this guy has promised to buy me a car for 3 years I have been with him now and this time he even wrote it on his ig handle and was bragging about it. That was not even my anger , my anger was the fact that he did not tell me that he was buying a car for his mum that don’t even need it, because his mum is old and in the village so what does she need a car for . IPOB members disrupted “Orji Mbaise” event where some Igbo leaders including People Democratic Party’s Vice Presidential candidate Peter Obi, Chukwuemeka Nkem Ihedioha who is a Peoples Democratic Party member and representative of Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency of Imo State among others were to be honored.

Detectives investigating an assault on a woman in Clapham High Street on New Year’s Day, have arrested and charged a man. The 23-year-old Nigerian suspect identified as Andrew Akingbaje, was charged with assault by beating against two other women during the same incident.

The young man previously claimed to have spent two years in the Tottenham Hotspurs youth setup, although the club has no record of him.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The victim, Krystal Mission, 21, was repeatedly punched in the head outside Lotus nightclub, in Clapham, south London, in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Akingbaje, who wore a grey tracksuit at Camberwell Magistrates' Court, in London, was released on conditional bail until January 31, when he will next appear.

Footage of the attack appears to show a male in a blue T-shirt repeatedly punching Ms Mission in the head.

A former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has described the Federal Government TraderMoni scheme as not only an avenue for advanced votes buying but direct “re-looting of the Abacha loots.”

Fayose questioned the rationale in Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo leaving Abuja and spending about N25 million on maintenance of presidential jet as well as allowances for himself, aides, protocols, security and others just to share say N10 million.

He said if the Federal Government was sincere about TraderMoni, the fund should have been paid into bank accounts of beneficiaries so that the disbursement can be traced and properly audited, adding that “When I was governor, more than 20,000 people got N5,000 monthly stipend and the money was paid into their bank accounts.”

According to a statement issued on Monday by his Media Aide, Lere Olayinka, the former governor, who is also the Southwest Coordinator of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council said Nigerians had already seen through the deceit of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government and will respond appropriately with their votes in 2019.

The ex-governor said it was even funny that the same President Muhammadu Buhari who insisted that the late Gen. Sani Abacha never stole was the one taking pride in his government use of a phony TraderMoni scheme to reloot the $322 million recovered from the loot Abacha stashed in Switzerland.

Fayose said: “If not that TraderMoni was to reloot the recovered Abacha loot, the proper way was for beneficiaries to be captured biometrically and the N10,000 paid into their bank accounts instead of the Vice President going to the market to share cash.

“Most importantly, there is nowhere that the Vice President will travel to outside Abuja that he won’t spend up to N25 million on his allowances, maintenance of presidential jet and the allowances of his retinue of aides, including security men.

“Therefore, of what economic sense is going to say Kano to share the N10,000 cash to 1,000 people? Isn’t spending N25 million to share N10 million same as being penny wise pound foolish?”

Fayose also urged Nigerians to ask the government what became of the funds taken from Excess Crude Account to fund the Boko Haram war.
